Not sure what is causing this, but I have a hunch this may have to do with the fact that this model was created in an older version of max, and I remember reading that there was a workaround to fix the old max file coordinates. I am using max 2009 to export to .LOD. If you look at the in game screen shot ( yes the building is sitting on the water LOL) you will see that the building is turned on it's side. I am a complete noob with 3ds max and your advice is much valued here. Thank you much in advance.

Looks like you have a missing TGA. I had the same problem a couple years ago when I ported files from one install int another. It turned out to be a missing aircraft fuel fire tga you will have to look at the callouts in the ini's and make sure you have the corresponding TGA's in your effects folder.

Blue /grey camo in that pattern would be kickass on the 106.

I noticed you are using the new third wire skins on the crab 02 F-4S... do those skins fit that model or did you have to edit them?

I don't remember how the effect looked but do you have FAEBombEffects ini in your effects folder and called out in the weapon data?

I also keep an April 2012 sf2na install just for naval intercept missions and naval strike... that is the only thing I use it for Because the terrain is hideous. My opinion the state of the current game is totally hosed and I am not happy with it at all. I believe that until we gain understanding of the new terrain engine ( which is locked to us) the current game will remain nearly worthless. On top of that there are a multitude of other issues, I see this game getting worse and worse with each patch, at some point you just have to cut your losses and pick a patch level to stay with.

You have to buy yap they wont just sell you the missions. Also I think I remember having to edit the callouts to get the cockpit to show up because TK changed the callouts when he updated his pits for SF2- this bird uses an F-4 pit.

Are those Third wire DLC skins on the Crab02 F-4S model? Do they fit that model or did you have to edit them?

Have you tought about using the older F-4S that used to be on column 5's site ( I believe it was done by Crab02) It has a much more accurate nose contour than the mirage factory S or the third wire J.

I was talking about the new Third wire skin pack.

Funny thing is that most of those tps and the heater ferris jets were F-4S not F-4J. VF-103 had a couple of f-4J's in early 82 according to my info, but the other squadrons flew the F-4S.

I could not disagree more. A ton has changed since we last had access to the cat files. We have a brand new terrain engine at our disposal and not a clue of its inner workings, for us to even begin to utilize the new engine we must understand it. can you imagine what a guy like Stary could accomplish with that engine once he fully understood it. I realize that you are concerned that you may piss TK off... on the flip side he is sure not showing any concern towards pissing off the people who have supported him, and bought every one of his titles. Perhaps you do not wish to put in your valuable time working on a new extractor, that is understandable. However Just because some asshats in china miss used your third party cat extractor does not mean that the community should be forever denied access to such a great tool in an updated form. Just my opinion.

They don't show up as flyable ? or the game is not selecting them as AI aircraft in the missions?
