McDonnell Douglas F-15A 'Argentina' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the stock F-15A (from SF2:Europe) to create a fictional F-15A in service with Grupo 6 de Caza of the Fuerza Aérea Argentina in the 1996-2021 timeline. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-15Arg folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-15Arg folder into your Decals folder. That's it! CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Thanks also to stablepigeon1 for suggesting this 'what if'. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 1 - May 15th, 2021.
  3. [Fictional] Hawker Harrier Mk.59 'Argentina'

From the Veinticinco de Mayo wiki page; In September 1969, during the voyage of the recently bought Veinticinco de Mayo from the Netherlands, Hawker Siddeley demonstrated their Harrier GR.1 on board the carrier for a possible sale to the Argentine Navy.

Hawker Harrier Mk.59 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a very simple mod of wpnssgt's cracking little AV-8S 'Matador' to give a fictional Harrier Mk.59 as it might have appeared in service with the Comando de Aviación Naval Argentina and fictional markings are included for 3ra Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Caza y Ataque (3rd Fighter/Attack Squadron). INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Harrier59 folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Harrier59 folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the Tank_AV8S_COAN folder into your Weapons folder. That's it! CREDITS Massive thanks to wpnssgt for the 3D model. Having only joined this community in early 2008 I'm guessing that this predates the Harrier contained in Wings Over Europe and, if so, then fair play - it's a beaut! As I've said before, "there's gold in them thar archives"! Thanks also to C5 for the FM and to Sundowner for the skin. As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 2 - 27/05/2020 Version 1 - 10/10/2010
  5. Only just noticed this. I don't think we have a MiG-35 3D model but you could use the decals from this to make an Argentinian MiG-29.

  8. View File [Fictional] McDonnell Douglas F-4S 'COAN' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 McDonnell Douglas F-4S 'COAN' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of the F-4S by 'The Mirage Factory' to give a fictional Phantom F-4S 'COAN' as it might have appeared in service with the Comando de Aviación Naval Argentina during the 1980-2010 timeline. Also included are three fictional Argentine aircraft carriers; the ARA Bernardino Rivadavia (V-3), the ARA Hippolyte Bouchard (V-4) and the ARA Guillermo Brown (V-5). INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-4S_COAN folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-4S_COAN folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the GROUND OBJECTS folder drag and drop all three folders into your Ground Objects folder.* 4. From the PILOTS folder drag and drop the PILOT_COAN into your Pilots folder. 5. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop both folders into your Weapons folder. * You'll really need to add 'ArgentineNavy' to the limited nations section of the ICELANDNA_NATIONS data.ini (which you'll need to extract). Doing this yourself will allow you to align the Argentine Navy to a 'colour' of your choice. CREDITS As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim. Special thanks to 'The Mirage Factory' for permission to modify the F-4S and also to Sundowner for the F-4S templates which really helped in adapting the Third Wire F-4J skins to fit. Thanks to Ravenclaw007 for the AM39 Exocet missile - as soon as I saw the textures I knew who to thank! Thanks also to the creator of the AR_BRP_250-Kappa_E bomb. It's been in my install for ages but I honestly don't know who to thank. And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 1 - May 22nd, 2021. 11. I can't remember which aircraft I tweaked but I adjusted the CGPosition and got rid of tail strike. Worth a look.
  12. I'm struggling to get hull numbers to appear on a couple of 'what if' aircraft carriers. I thought the file path would be the same as for aircraft with decals placed in a folder in the main DECALS folder. Any thoughts? [Decal001] MeshName=Deck DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=TOP FilenameFormat=HippolyteBouchard/ARA/NUM Position=0.0,179.0 Scale=26.0 DecalMaxLOD=4 [Decal002] MeshName=Main_Superstructure DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=HippolyteBouchard/ARA/NUM Position=-12.45,25.90 Scale=9.0 DecalMaxLOD=3 [Decal003] MeshName=Main_Superstructure DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=HippolyteBouchard/ARA/NUM Position=2.20,25.40 Scale=8.0 DecalMaxLOD=3
