How come not a lot of modding?shredward replied to DukeIronHand's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion To be frank, and my colleagues aren't going to like me being so frank, but the area we really could use help with is model building. Trouble is, making one is unbelievably difficult, torturous and long. More than a few members of this community have tried, tried long and hard, and then hit a brick wall. It's bloody hard, frustrating, tedious work, and it takes forever, even for such accomplished builders as Winder and Pol. We would love to have all the a/c we had in the RB patches, but it's going to take years. If I had a buck for every model that's been attempted since we started, well, I might not have my South Seas motu, but you get the idea. That is partly why progress sometimes seems so slow. Plus, we still have the rest of the sim to build. shredward

Did that once with my partner in the control room at the filth mine - our faces mirrored each others as banks of switches all around us started tripping off, and mills and kilns ground to a halt. Talk about a Homer Simpson moment!

No 15 - looks oddly familiar to me too . Taken during the mercifully short second season, the other being winter. the shredder.

My apologies guys - I tried to zap a duplicate post I made in 'more screenies please' thread, and inadvertently zapped the whole thread.

Wonderful On Board Footageshredward replied to CaptSopwith's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion Good work Olham! I've been to Laon, so I should have spotted it. I took the surrounding area for water, which is what threw me, but you are quite right. Laon sits up on a high rock, and drops away fairly steeply, and that is what we are seeing in that clip. Great stuff!

Wonderful On Board Footageshredward replied to CaptSopwith's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion The thing in that clip that intrigued me - is that Amiens Cathedral they fly over? Looks about right. Anyone positively identify it? shredward

Many photos of Carl Holler at Jasta 6shredward replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion There is quite a lengthy article on Carl Holler in a back issue of OTF - I'll try and look it up the next time I'm home. You could look up the particulars of his claim for 30 May OFF - I'm pretty sure I put it in there. Cheers, shred

Yeah, it's a goldmine. Some units did a much better job of summarising their histories than others, but it all makes for fascinating reading. One thing I found particularly interesting was the readiness reports of some of the SPAD units. Those Hissos caused a lot fo headaches! Cheers, shredward

I've decided that from now on I'll be counting backwards !!! That way I'll be able to wave at some of you as we pass each other at the same age, but in the opposite direction:no:

Realistic Survival Settings - now postedshredward replied to a topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion Hi Briteh, Bletch, I'm out in the boonies right now, and have been out of touch, and with no internet, for the past fortnight. Our conversation has been cut off for some reason, but I'll have a look at your opus when I get home (in another couple of weeks). Thanks for all your sleuthing, on behalf of me, OFF, and the community. Cheers, shredward
