  1. I've got Bose Companion 5's as well. Big seat shaker right in front of my foot pedals, and a pair of stem mounted trebles right behind my monitor. Great system - Theatre sound! shred
  2. Keep the comments coming guys - there are far more of you than us, and all of you will spot things we missed. Cheers, shredward
  3. Thanks Bullet! Good eye. shred
  4. That is funny. I love it!!! shredward
  5. Snap it up guys. We aren't releasing ours for a while. Cheers, shredward
  6. Anyone else get this? Mine shows the correct skin - #24 with Hat in the Ring emblem. Anyone else see what Barkhorn is seeing? shred
  7. Hallo Olham, Try turning your sliders down. We all ran into the same problem in beta, and turning the sliders, particularly scenery & terrain, down a notch usually solves the problem. 4 5 4 4 5 5 works for me. Cheers, shredward
  8. Check the sound folder - there are several files called pilothit and xpilot hit.
  9. Well, Olham, that really depends on if one is only MOSTLY dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do. Go through his clothes and look for loose change. Cheers, shredward
  10. Thankyou Lou, Your story is very much in the spirit of OFF, and the season,. It reminds me very much of another story which takes place on Christmas Eve, many years later; The Shepherd, by Frederick Forsyth, and read on the CBC every Christmas Eve by the late Alan Maitland. All of our Canadian members will know of what I speak. Peace to you all, Ted
  11. Slippery devils, those recruiting Sergeants!
  12. The recruiting Sergeants back in the fall of 1914 told the boys 'Enlist Now - we'll be home by Christmas'. the shredder
  13. This thing is sitting on Ebay, and it's grand larceny at this price. One of the great classics. If you don't have it, and want it.... http://cgi.ebay.com/WWI-The-History-of-56-Squadron-RFC-RAF-Book-OOP_W0QQitemZ270494347944QQcategoryZ156401QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4340.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%252BC%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BDDSIC%26otn%3D10%26ps%3D63 Cheers, shredward
  14. Don't know about you guys, but I'm gobsmacked by the screenies, and there've been tweaks since then. shred
  15. Just about enough for a Flight! Congratulations! Ted
  16. Hmmmm, I see real possibilities here, we can expand from our filling out claim forms: spit shining boots, latrine duty, church parade, short arm inspection, putting rounds into ammo belts, sighting in guns, hut inspection - yes, I can see where we can take this.... Thanks Bullet!
  17. OK guys, I'm gonna spell it out. No politics. No religion. Nothing personal. And nothing I don't want my five month old daughter to see or hear. We're done. the shredder
  18. Oh Oh, the Thought Police have arrived:punish: A fairly innocent looking thread, and I never thought to have a look. Just goes to show. You guys know the rules. Don't make me come back here!!!
  19. Hello Barkhorn, You've risked sounding pedantic, but I applaud you for having a good eye. And yes, some rudders were overpainted, darker, and the sequence altered after they arrived in the field, in the 94th and 95th. When you get Hat in the Ring, you will find those rudders overpainted, while the rudders of the 27th and 147th retained the factory hues and notations, again with the sequence altered. We do our homework. Cheers, shredward
  20. The OFF weather files are based on historical data from many sources. While it is true that weather restricted flying on many days, it is also very true that there were very few days when there was no flying on the Front. OFF reflects this - levels of activity drop on dud weather days, and very rarely all flying operations are scrubbed, as they were on that day in the Great War, but those days are few. Remember, these skies are Over Flanders Fields, not sunny Southern California. Cheers, shred
