  1. I'm sick to death of looking at airplane files, so I've taken a break and worked on 1940 desert ground objects. Roughly half the models shown below are finished, the rest are still WIPs.

  3. While its mostly a matter of taste, Jan Tuma's tiles have more a bit detail and variety than Max's tiles. If you are really ambitious, take a look at GTerl's tiles in his superb WW1 Italian map. He used Tuma's tiles, plus made new ones that were based on Tuma's work. Sometimes you can drop different tiles into existing maps and get very impressive results. Other times, not so much...
  4. Thanks! If you don't mind, I'll take a look at it's tile art.
  5. For grins and giggles, I altered the brown to one of the other variants used by the Regia Aeronautica, and switched to low-visibity, late war markings. As you can see, the Italians employed VERY sophisticated camouflage concepts.

  11. More development shots of the Belgium camo. Note I am not trying to match colors to Gterl's game map, it just happens when aircraft and game map colors are realistic.

  16. Steve - I've never gotten the Vogesen map to work, so I have a question. Is it adapted from SF, and thus has 2000 meter ground tiles? Or, is it a true FE map with 500 meter ground tiles? If its the latter, I might consider making new 1024 ground art that would be based on the existing ground art. If that's the case, would you have any suggestions?
  17. Delightful! I wondered what you were up to.
  18. Working on upgrades to the CR42. When the Glad and CR42 are as good as it gets - right now - I'll work with LloydNB and Baffmeister to make the SF2 releases. Shot below shows progress on the Belgian camo job for the 1940 CR42, flying over a test 1024 tile in Gterl's Italian Front map.

  20. Dunno what to tell you. The pilot should either work, or not work - aircraft location should not be a factor. Maybe some other guys know something I don't and can answer your question?
  21. You seem to have a unique problem. The Gladiator models were tested by four other guys and no one reported your problems.
  22. Tinkered with some desert ground objects this morning. When Gterl and I were experimenting with a Spanish Civil War game map, he got a test version to run problem-free using 1024 art tiles and a few 2048 tiles for airfields. Shot below doubles the "special" art tile to 4096.
