  1. Con el alpha channel no funca????? Me pa que si haces un tga y definis bien el aplha channel, si salpica......o no?????? Es eso o el xxx_hm.bmp???? Ya ni me acuerdo.....
  2. That is the problem on training during war time. You need to get the skills needed to put you in the front and that's it. On peace time you train to get as good as you can get....BIG difference. If there is no war operations, all squads kind of become "training units". About our specific subject... I guess, having new Mig-25/Su-20/Mirage F1 to fly , F-13 and F-7 wont be missed so much.... I remember to read something about a squad (think it was the 7th but not sure) armed on the hurry with old versions of Mig-21 (PFM,FL,F-13,F) to be flown until they "run out of hours". I Don't think they are too much needed for the initial release....But that's only my opinion........
  3. Ups....you are right...... I will try to ask on Acig.org to see if we can clarify this matter...... About the indian instructors, here is a good reading on the subject, if anyone is interested.... http://www.bharat-ra...kumar-Iraq.html
  4. Let's get clear. I'm not saying that all the IrAF performed well during the war. In my post i was talking only about techs... IrAF was not an heterogenous force. Some units where highly trained and experiencied, but with obsolete equipment. Some tactics where also out of date and have to be readapted during the fight (which is way more difficult to do than in "peace time") . They did have some good performance, but also some really bad ones....Thats mainly because, from my point of view, the soviets where not interested in provide training to other airforces, just hardware. Proof of that, were all those soviet squads deployed on the south of Iraq, armed with Mig-25, Mig-23ML and Mig-21. They need those planes been tested by their own people. Other reasons were that, this guy SH, who, from my point of view, was a complete stupid, paranoid and psycho, believed that the Air force was about to force him out..and never allowed the Air force to act independently. He was always saying what to do, and that's a mistake ALWAYS. Pilots are fighters not politicians... And the wars are always winned by fighters, although politics always takes the credit..... By the way, seems that the Mig-21 which carried the Magics were the Mig-21bis from the No.47 Sqdn (based on Kirkuk ?? not sure.). Apparently they were also capable of carring the R-60T (a missile relatively rare in the IrAF)
  5. Hola Tomacho y bienvenido al foro .... Si sos un poco mas especifico, podemos ver como resolver tu problema... Asi como lo planteas, poco podemos hacer.....
  6. Not sure about the french mercenaries, supouss could be true. But the integration of Magic on Mig-21MF could be easilly done by iraqi techincians (They've also integrated the Exocet on the Mig-23ML, but only as prototype). Despite general believe (due mainly to propaganda), they where highly capacitated and trained, same with the iranians (The last are still flying a very complex aircraft as the Tomcat without almost any help from the manufacturer). So, i guess Mig-21MF could carry Magic missles.......of course, after the arrival of the Mirage F1....
  7. I have no problem to share it with the comunity, i just don´t see the point of doing it right now. I wanted to simply show the result of what i was talking before. By the way, if someone is interested, i have that darker skin almost ready (simply a color change of existing skins). Perhaps could be used with the new m3 you are doing. As you wish...
  8. Using the method i mentioned: Did it as an experiment for the 1stGen Series.
  9. You can do that with the "old" terrain editor. You must simply configure some values on the .ini file and that's it. Download it from here: http://combatace.com/files/file/6492-terrain-editor-2-versions/
  10. An alternative could be deleting the entire vertail and making a new one as fake pilot without the air intake. The big issue is that you lost the rudder movement....
  11. Some data on the VG wings fitters operational history: The IrAF received the following variants (in chronological order of delivery): - 18 Su-20 delivered in October 1973 (Lyulka AL-7F engines), all served with No.1 Squadron - 36 Su-22 delivered in 1976 (Tumansky R-29 engines), of which 18 served with No.44 Squadron and 18 with No.109 Squadron; several of these belonged to the Su-22R sub-variant which could carry the KKR -1 recce pod - 18 Su-22M delivered in 1978, all served with No.5 Squadron; six of these were upgraded to Su-22M-2K standard in 1981, equipped with Kh-58C / E anti-radar missiles (manufactured under licence in Iraq as "Nissin-28") - Some 20 Su-22M-2Ks were purchased in 1983 in order to replace losses; they re-equipped the entire No.5 Squadron, releasing remaining Su-22Ms to be transferred to No.44 Squadron. - 18 Su-22M-2Ks were purchased in 1983-1984 in order to replace remaining Su-22s of No.109 Squadron (only 3 of these survived by the time) - 18 Su-22M-3Ks were purchased in 1984; they entered service with No.69 Squadron; these were the first Iraqi Su-22 compatible with advanced PGMs and R-60s - 36 Su-22M-4K were purchased in 1986-1987 and they entered service with No.5 and No.109 Squadrons
  12. Pinta bueeno bueeeeeeeeno!!!!!!!!
  13. As far as i've read... SU-17 can not carry IR missiles. Neither Su-17M. But Su- 20 could carry two R-3S IR missiles (don't know which pylon, could be the outer or the inner wing pylons... my guess?? porbably the inner ones....) Su-17M2 could carry two R-60 in the inner wing pylons (BD3-57M racks with APU-60-1 launch rail) Same for the Su-22. Source: Yefim Gordon "Sukhoi Su-7/-17/-20/-22" - Aerofax

  16. This is gonna be epic!!!!! If it isn't all ready.......... Excelent work !!!!!!!
  17. Check this one!!! The IrAF insignia is still there!!!
  18. Excelentes!!!!!!!!
Cualquier cosa googlealo.... Suerte

  23. This pack is the most "historical" as far as I know. http://combatace.com/files/file/11092-pack-de-armas-argentino-malvinas-1982/ The guy who did it (TerceraEscuadrilla) has a huge historical background. He has permanent contact with pilots and mechanics who participated on Malvinas War and is an "open book" about Malvinas conflict. The pack also include a pdf with some "technical data" about aircrafts and loadouts which may help you. You can always contact Adrian (terceraescuadrilla) by MP, but I don't kown if he still visit CA...you can try...
