  1. How do you all of you take these screenshots looking like you are in the stratosphere? The highest I can get is 84,000 ft in a MIG-25P. Am I missing some sort of coding in an INI to do this?

  7. Despite having the nations and weapon types right, I still don't seem AMRAAMs available for the F/A-18E and F/A-18F I just downloaded. They are the newest versions off of here. How do I add the capability? I must not be doing something right.
  8. Would I mess the B-1 up if I changed the base size to medium?
  9. Occasionally, I have planes that will cause a CTD when trying to fly a single mission after selecting them. CTD happens before the hanger screen. My most recent incident involved selecting the B-1B and trying to play a single mission on the Himalayas terrain. It will crash to desktop before I get to the hanger screen. On every other map it works fine. I'm confused as to what to look at next to solve it. Any ideas?

  12. If that is the real PAK FA in the schematic, there may be issues with stealth. For Example, the F-22 uses equal wing angles (also known as Planform Alignment) and re-entrant triangles to deflect radar waves, not just stealth paint. These contributing factors lead to the reduced cross section. If this is the PAK FA again, it will be picked up on radar.

  14. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! CTD now after deleting multiple rocket pods! MissileObject.DLL looks like the cause. See below... Help... cannot reinstall as my CD/DVD drive is fragged.
  15. I'm thinking of doing pulling a "START" on my weapons in WOE. I have too many rocket pods listed for each type (i.e 8 LAU-10s) and want to only have one or two showing of my choice. If I start deleting some of the entries via the weapons editor, will the number sequences change with each weapon deleted? Will it screw any of the numerical sequences up?

  17. My CD/DVD drive crapped out on me last night and won't read any CD's or DVD's at all. I launched WOE to my surprised that it works without the CD/DVD on startup. However, does the game look for the CD when you play single missions, instant action or campaigns? In short, can it be run without the CD?
  18. Under the curse of insomnia on a week night last night, I found out how to add them. I just copied them from the F-104G. Even though they technically were not used, they are definitely being used now in this alternate era video game. I even gave the F-104C Sparrow capability. If the Italians could have them on their 'S' variant, why not the Americans in a Cold War gone hot?

Although in actual history, the lower nose Sidewinder racks were never used to do greatly reducing the efficiency of launching AIM-9s from that location, I want to add them to my F-104C in the game. The model is Dave's that I downloaded off of this site in the A/C package. Is ajundair did an F-104G with these weapon stations. I was wondering if the pylons and copying/pasting those weapon stations from his Data file into the F-104C would allow me to utilize them and show correctly on the flight model with pylons. If there is a better way, please let me know... Thanks!

  21. Just messing around with the main screen from TW. A Cold War from 1948 to 2025 in my WOE does not just happen in Europe..
  22. Got it! It wasn't in ANSI (the Textureset.ini). Thanks for your help again Dave. The skins look beautiful on something so damned ugly. I love it!
  23. I think I have been bit by the bug that wants another thirdwire game. I couldn't bring myself to buy WOV before since I thought I pretty much have the best of both worlds just getting WOE and downloading all the Vietnam Era aircraft. Not the case I guess. I'd like to have the Vietnam campaign and the ability to launch from carriers. Are there any tips for merged installs between WOV and WOE? I have WOE already patched to 10/2008. I plan on doing a separate WOV install and then WOE right over it. Do I install to the same folders for this to work? Also, I have aircraft that are already found in WOV like the F-4B and F-4J. Do I just transfer my skins from the old ones I have to the WOV versions? Any comments on this will be great. I look forward to this mini project. Thanks!
  24. I'm not at home right now, but I am going to check and see if the INIs are in ANSI code as soon as I get the chance. Something is telling me they aren't and that could be why. Thanks for your help so far Dave!
  25. They are not. The BMP names are the same as the SF1 camo skins that came with the B-52G/H package
