B-61 should work for nuclear sharing with USAF/USN attachment points just fine. i've run many a NATO zipper mission w/ B61 before no worries. as for squadrons yess all but Norway ar currently in squadronlist but for some reason i cannot get Denmarks units to show up. one has to have the specific syntax it seems cause some dutch units were missing til i fixed em. (ex. 416TFS, 32RAF etc) whats buggin me is finding the right mix for the Danes, but also all my current installs are very lightly modded right now with no F-104 or Danish skins anywhere. gotta few hours of class today then my wife is trying out for a job so i'll add on the skins/aircraft and see if it has any effect. gotta theory but also gotta go....... also have gunny's pack broken down into sections will take a loook and poss send to you this weekend. -

Upcoming DLC skins
daddyairplanes replied to Piecemeal's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
if its the same price as the Navy skins i'll likely get it. then i'll prob think on how Sundowners skins with my own decals are better but hey its a better use of 3 bucks than a cheeseburger or smokes...... edit just looked at the pics on TW site. Euro 1 is toooooo defined as per most photos ever taken of that paintjob, while Hill 2 is not defined enough again as every photo i can recall seeing...... -

will have rough squadronlist.ini up later tonight for consideration. most Vietnam AGExp and NF4+ squadrons are added along with most ANG squadrons that flew a stock TW in their RL history. although that file is change semi regularly by TK, it's in increments of about 3-5 every 4 months and that is why 150 some slots were added: that way only the new couple of squadrons need to be added. i also left around 850 to 999 blank so futre mods and/or campaigns can have the extra room. while i definately think landing lights would be a great idea, i gotta point out that is edited in the data.ini and those get messed with every month. some form of plug in to the stock ini maybe but other wise something would be changed every month. not sayin lets not do it, just have a good plan is all.. -

Why You Should Check Out Flaming Cliffs 2 (and the entire DCS series for that matter)
daddyairplanes replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
the govt. wouldn't put out a message like that for public consumption due to fear of panic in the streets. Besides CNN would break the story before the EBS! -
Is it possible to create a Black & White EOTV Image in SF2?
daddyairplanes replied to HomeFries's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
someone could point the exact answer out better than me but i think it may have something to do in the ini's. i'm thinking something to do with the color values like changing the lights or colors of text. little hopped up on theraflu and nyquil right now so i'm sorry it this isnt too useful but it hopefully gets you in the right direction..... -

Anyone like to finish an Euro 1 Herc?
daddyairplanes posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
got alot else on my plate right now and this has been sitting on my HD since April. the wings are darker than the fuselage for some reason and i haven't gotten around to decalling it. that said i think this is the farthest project along so i anyone is interested in picking it up and finishing for their own project lemme know and i'll PM it to you. i'd like to see it out there for the 80's and early 90's Hercs but i'm just stalled out on it. -

Can Stock Campaigns be deleted from Separate Merged Installs?
daddyairplanes replied to Geary's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
also any planes you want gone can actually disappear just by deleting the particular planes folder in the main Aircraft one. no need for blank files in Objects........ -
I think thirdwire fans should see this for DCS
daddyairplanes replied to Stary's topic in Digital Combat Simulator Series General Discussion
nah Wrench's Zombie squad is better however for now i'm stuck with TW due to 1. cost of DCS 2. the fact i have all major SF2 titles and 3 most importantly, Phantoms. -

not working out the hourly on it but i get 40% disability from the Veterans Administration for my dings and dents. thing is my back is the major issue and reason i filed a claim in the first place. how ever i got 30 percent for PTSD like issues (filed as an afterthought on advise of a VA rep) and 0% for my back because i didn't act like i was in pain. sorry, after 7 years it gets old whining about the pain everyday! back on topic.... with these other countries planes being released terrains to match would be mighty nice. hell don't even need a campaign, i'm sure we would work that one out fast in the CA house! so long as it's not too locked up..... -

you mean you can actually fly in this series, not just mod it? i do agree though, i got the F-4 skinpack just to save myself some time with the ini dancing and making a few of the decals for my own project. now down from two weeks to 13 days 23 1/2 hours........ -
SF2 Realism Mod
daddyairplanes replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
if multiple folders why not break down into 1. terrians 2. ini edits 3. flight, effects and other minor but not strictly ini related mods 4. weps. just as an idea i dont think we are talking major aircraft mods right now. and because R/L is still kickin my butt right now i'm gonna wrapup the squadronlist by adding the major shooter squadrons from NF4 and Vieatnam Air and Ground. still little leary of red air add ins cause then your talking cockpits and could make a squadronlist as big as the stock one. but there should be plenty of room at the end to add in. my main focus with that has been 1 units flying stock aircraft sometim in history and 2 era from 1948-1991. yea theres examples like the 100th FS wich replaced Alabama ANG's 160th FS in '07 but i don't wanna go that crazy..... -

my two cents on the weapon matter is that much should be added but maybe not everything possible out there. i had to massively trim doen Gunnys pack when i had my old Compaq laptop due to there just being soooo much stuff that i wasn't gonna use. on the other hand without ini edits on some weps you have things like the abilty to carry Mk 82's on a Mustang in 1950! i would vote for making the stock weps more accurate and adding some of the useful stuff but maybe not every single variant of 2.75 FFAR or Iranian homemade missle. leave those in the specific mods (FAC, Helo or Op Darius) for which they are more useful. my understanding was that this was primarily for stock game improvement, but i also agree with HR that many elements (squadronlist, RWR library) could be useful in any future mods to save time and lessen patching impact. not to say patches won't bork the mod, just lessen the borking to where updating is a few hour or maybe day affair for all concerned
