No RWR in Nesher SF2I

No RWR in Nesher SF2I
guyran replied to guyran's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Did Nesher and KfirC1 actually had RWR, or is it a TW's bug? -
In WOI the Nesher has RWR system. Though, in SF2I there is no RWR on board. From SF2I Nesher_Data.ini: [DetectSystem] Name= RadarType=RANGING VisualBlindArc=5,6,7 VisualRestrictedArc=4L,8L MaxVisibleDistance=8400.0 HasRWR=FALSE Where is the truth behind the RWR in Neshers? Did Neshers actually fought, above enemy territory in Yom Kippur war, without RWR early warning system? Guyran

From SF2I manual: Kfir C1 [Strike Fighters 2 Isarel] The Kfir C1 is the initial production version, externally similar to the Mirage 5 except the engine and additional ram intake. The original Kfir is renamed Kfir C1 after the Kfir C2 version entered service. Although Kfir has a higher thrust than Mirages, it is also heavier and less maneuverable, and it quickly became known as "Kfir Brick" by Mirage pilots.

Dassault Ouragan
guyran replied to paulopanz's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
Hi Paulo, Look for PM From the IAF Museum: Take care, Guyran -
Found the solution to my question myself, about changing the FM without messing it. I've temporary eliminated the X_data.ini files (containing the FM) in the third party aircraft by renaming it to something else. This causes the sim engine to search and use the original TW data.ini files located in one of the core cat files. It was quiet an interesting experience to fly the non-flyable Mig-21 variants according to TK's original FM. guyran

View File The Ace of Aces mission - SF2 Israel Historical missions for SF2 Israel: (Updated from WOI mission) The Ace of Aces First fighter squadron 101 Neshers vs. Egyptian Mig-21. Colonel Giora Epstein is a retired colonel in the Israeli Air Force (IAF) believed to have shot down more jet aircraft than any other pilot. Epstein was credited with 17 kills, all against Egyptian aircraft. With seventeen confirmed kills, Giora Epstein remains the world's top scoring jet fighter pilot making him the "ace of all aces". During Yom Kippur War, October 20, 1973; already a double Ace with 10 kills, Giora Epstein maneuvers his 101 Squadron Nesher after a decoy of 2 Mig-21 Egyptian aircrafts. On the deck are 16 Mig-21 Egyptian aircrafts waiting in a perfect ambush. After 3 of the Neshers returned to base, Epstein fought alone against 11 Migs. The results of the battle were: 4 Migs-21 downed by the Israeli Ace. The full story of this battle is in the Giora Epstein Story.txt file. To install: Unrar Copy the msm files into the mission folder of SF2 Israel. You can play Giora Epstein's mission either in normal or hard difficulty. The hard mission is very challenging. You can also play the 'crazy mig' pilot role. Remember if you are playing the Egyptian pilot, don’t engage the Neshers on sight, lure them into the waiting ambush first. I invite everybody who plays the mission to post (in the announcements topic), how many Mig's kill you've got in normal/hard mission. For suggestions or remarks just send me a massage. I understand that TK tweaks the FM with each new patch, This is a part of the FM derived from Mig-21F_DATA.ini taken from Mig_21_Complete_Pack_SF2_Europe_1_2 by ataribaby. [FlightControl] StallSpeed=70.97 CruiseSpeed=186.59 ClimbSpeed=298.33 CornerSpeed=224.63 LandingSpeed=66.65 MaxG=7.00 MaxSpeedSL=305.56 MachLimit=2.048 PitchDamper=0.85 RollDamper=0.75 YawDamper=0.3 This is the latest part of Mig-21F_DATA.ini extracted from the new SF2I. [FlightControl] StallSpeed=67.95 CruiseSpeed=186.59 ClimbSpeed=298.34 CornerSpeed=207.62 LandingSpeed=65.08 MaxG=7.00 MaxSpeedSL=305.56 MachLimit=2.048 MachLimitDry=0.980 PitchDamper=0.4 RollDamper=0.4 YawDamper=0.0 As you can see, many parameters of the FM like the stall speed and the corner speed are different. I wonder if it is worthwhile to adopt the new SF2I standard FM, when upgrading to SF2I? guyran
