  1. If you're a subscriber to Combat Ace you have a lot more room for attachments. Hence the "Choice Member" by my avatar.
  2. I should not have even started that thread. My sincerest apologies to all. :blush2: CJ
  3. Jasta 10 boys are great, fightin with you right to the end ...now if they weren't the sneakiest l'l victory stealing bunch a horses pitutes... :angry2: They will do that now. You pump a hundred rounds into an EA and get him hurt bad and going down and one of them swoops in and gets off 10 or 15 and steals the kill. Frustrating. I just turn the tables and do the same thing to them!
  4. Hey Tony! Many congratulations on your retirement! That means more time for BH&H, provided the "honeydo" list isn't too awful long! Enjoy! Mike aka CJ
  5. If you can't decide on a bike or a sports car, how about a sports bar?(bike+car). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38TFetQAe2o CJ
  6. Open sights for me.
  7. I know where Catch/Catch22 is.
  8. Broadside, I'd be more than happy to send you a copy of Phase 2. It's got a few unfixed bugs (eternal flamers comes to mind) but it is a great sim in it's own right. I played it for well over a year and never tired of it, at least, that is until I got BH&H. Send me a PM with your address. Do it soon as I have to send a couple more out today as well. Welcome, CJ
  9. I like the '70 better myself.
  10. Maybe he forgot to.
  11. I can remember when I was a kid, I collected pop bottles to buy every issue of Hot Rod I could get my hands on. I read about these cars long before they ever hit the showroom. When they finally did, I was only 12 but I just HAD to ride my bike to the Dodge place to check them out. Factory hot rod. And the ultimate factory hot rod, The Hemi Superbird!
  12. What a tw@t.... he's never going to make retirement He needs to be on the track, or in jail, NOT ON THE ROADS.
  13. Two things I did notice in RoF. Remember the airflow/air particle video on YouTube showing how the air moved and how it was so accurate and realistic? I looked and can't seem to find it now. They went into detail about the airflow etc. This is small, but considering how they made a big deal out of it maybe it isn't. I was looking at the plane sitting on the field and I could see the grass blowing in the wind. Well, when I started the engine, the grass behind the plane kept blowing in the breeze. It should have been laid over flat by the propwash. One other thing. The planes are vampires. Everything that finds itself over the water, trees, sky, clouds, etc, have a reflection in the water, except the planes (see screenshot). I know some may say these are nitpick issues, but I'm just calling them on their claims.
  14. I was always partial to these. A lot of bang for the buck!
  15. Cameljockey - is there a setting for "scenery detail" ? And if so, how high is your's set? Cause: the SPAD looks good, but the landscape is cold and without "a grain of grass and daisies". In answer to your question Olham, I have scenery set on "Medium". I had it on "High" but didn't see much of a difference. I've taken some screen shots of a SPAD flying over the home aerodrome in both games for comparison. Since I had no idea where the aerodrom in RoF was, I just used one in OFF in the general vicinity. To me, the scenery in RoF looks like a never ending golf course. CJ
  16. Thanks guys. This is what it looked from "the Office". CJ
  17. Jasta 10. I've flown with them enough. I like being in the company of men like Lowenhardt and Voss. CJ
  18. I've got the AF wide open as well as AA. Maybe it's just the angle.
  19. I smell an ass around here but I don't think it's OFF. My machine is perfectly capable of running RoF. It ran a lot better but the graphics still had boocoo jaggies. I found the fix on SimHQ for that. You turn off all of the post effects and force the AF/AA in Nvidia control panel. IOW check "Override any application settings" and turn Vsync force on. I got rid of 95% of the jagged edges. I went for a flight in the SPAD last night just to check it out and actually had a really good time. I agree that the FM is superb (the DVII is a little more skittish than it should be IMO, it has always been referred to as very stable and easy to fly) as well as the DM, which are better than OFF, however, IMO, the AI in OFF is much better. I have to agree about RoF growing on you. Once I got past the substandard menus, pain in the butt control config, and graphics performance (mainly lack of enough AA/AF) and got it straightened out it is really a joy to fly, and looks superb. I never said RoF is crap or a POS, I was just comparing it to OFF as it stands now. There are a lot of disappointed sim lovers who agree with me. I am looking forward to what Neoqb is going to release next for it, hopefully they'll turn the DrI and Camel loose. I'm not a boom and zoomer by trade. I love a good joust! That's why the DrI is my favorite. BTW Peter have you flown BH&H? CJ
  20. Winder, Pol, I have a fix for the graphics, the only thing is you have to do without some of the effects. Go into Settings and turn off all post effects (Bloom, Post Saturation, blood, etc). Then go to Nvidia Control panel and override application settings and Vsync force on. It cleared mine up considerably. You can see the difference. It doesn't completely eliminate it but it's a big improvement.
