  1. SD I do find your instructions to be clear enough, thank you. Don't fret about the link.
  2. Since the ebay link was up for a second or two I clicked on it and did a search for the X45. Cheapest was $25 + $10 shipping so I feel real good about my $10 purchase.
  3. SittingDuck to my rescue again. Thanks M8!
  4. This dummy is having trouble understanding how to access missions installed with MadMatt's installer. I see the missions in the Training folder. Don't they need to be in the Quick Scenario's per appropriate Nation? I don't want to mess things up by jackin' around willynilly. Help with this would be great. I am probably not remembering something that was posted but help please? I was able to access the Gotha in the CFS3 QC found in the OFF Workshop. The Gotha is not finished but it's sure nice to have. I still would like to access the user-made missions though.
  5. FRO man, you are a skinning machine. I don't know where you find the time to do all these but thanks so much
  6. Well when I find the X52 for $10 or less I'll let you know. Or maybe I'll fall in love with the X45?
  7. Look, look and look some more. Situational awareness, do you keep an eye open all around you? Like Dej said don't get fixated on one target. Do him some damage if you can but don't chase too long when there are enemies at hand. Fly with TAC or any other tools you may want. No need to be macho when you are first learning. Do you have TrackIR? It sure does help the situational awareness. Fly as high as you can manage at all times. Higher elevation than the enemy is a great advantage it also helps in decreasing the accuracy of the AA. As mentioned before use your wingmen. Always lead, select in workshop. You will not win the war. You may survive for awhile. There are many choices in workshop to fit your current skills or to make it challenging. Make the selections to suit yourself and have fun. Know this, we long time fliers have a large stack of dead dudes piled up around our pc's. We got better and are getting better. Practice, practice. Keep at it and you will improve. Best wishes.
  8. Problem solved. Somehow my screen resolution got changed. Maybe with the joystick installation or Madmatt's, who knows. But I'm on the field now and can setup that X45. Sorry for any grief SD. You are a true friend for trying to help this moron. My best to you
  9. Just tried Quick Scenario, kicked me back to the Splash screen. Rebooting did no good.
  10. Do I need to restart my pc?
  11. Never had a problem before. I'm going into QC throught the OFF manager. I am able to select type of planes and elevations and such, click go to field but get sent back to the QC selection screen. No error messages now.
  12. Running Vista SD. I deleted all the files I could think ofincluding Zep and gotha pylons. Reinstalles MadMatt's but I still can't get to the feild.
  13. Hmm... no go. Maybe I should reset OFF in the workshop and then do MadMatt's tool? I loose my skins then don't I? I have no pilots right now that I worry about losing.
  14. Okay SD, I'll give that a go. Thanks for your kindness.
  15. The time is really right now what with the release of the SuperPatch IMHO.
  16. Update. This morning I plugged in my stick and my laptop found the drivers. I checked the calibration and functions of the buttons and it's all systems go. I went to try it out ingame but I could not fly because I had installed MadMatt's installer yesterday and now I get the message UnitData Model Name "60sq gotha" already exists. Seems perhaps this little hangup is another thing you may be able to help me with SD? Being the online man that you are. Help. Update; So I got to thinking and I deleted the gotha file from my aircraft folder. Now when I try to fly I don't get the gotha message. I get no message but in QC I get kicked back to the selection screen. I can't get to the field.
  17. Good Idea. Seems to me a that Widow has hit on something here.
  18. Thanks so much SD. I thought you had mentioned you use this stick. I found and printed a manual. I run Vista and I don't have the driver disc but I found the Saitek site and can download the driver from there. It's too late to mess with it tonight but your info will help for starters for sure. I am also greatly encouraged that you like using yours. Do you use the rudder control, I find this arrangement intriquing as I don't have a rudder set. My throttle seems stiff to move, is that normal? Cool, I found the throttle adjustment on the bottom and she works easier now.
  19. Hi guys. Picked up a secondhand X45. I know nothing about it at this time. Looks brand new.... Anyway if anyone would care to share their button assignments they are using with this stick for OFF I would appreciate your input. Some assumption on my part, someone using this stick...... hey it may be a big step up from what I was using. If it is somehow nichtszogoot for OFF perhaps it will be good for IL2. Thanks.
  20. Olham my freund. Good news! I hope it is the answer for you. Your Blue Max collection will be growing soon.
  21. Like I said, she's a beauty. I've downloaded and will take her up soon. Thanks again BH.
  22. Good going Hobbit, bloodied first time out and lived to tell. Nerves shot, don't expect that to change anytime soon.
  23. Hey thanks Widow, just what I needed. Here's to better flying and more of it.
  24. She's a beauty BH! Can I have her sir? Sure looks legit to me. She screams German to me.
