  1. She looks as if she'd say: "A hard day's work done! You can be really proud of me! Didn't get through to China though - Iron Curtain, you know? But the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" - tch! Much overrated! Boy, I should be tired, but I wonder, if there aren't any slippers I could chew my way through..."
  2. You can bet you're lucky there! On a ship, it would vomit my very soul over board.
  3. Thanks for this, Shredward - I hadn't know that it was not even his behaviour here. The devil may know how far he went elsewhere - across the Rubycon, I guess...
  4. Please don't call it "blasphemous" of me to use the shape of one of the best known peace songs in the world, to sing this ode about our forthcoming WW1 air combat sim - I think, if we can enjoy PLAYING a war only, instead of fighting it, we are a big step further, aren't we? .
  5. Captain, I don't know how far your sinus may add to the motion sickness, but I can tell you that when I started using TrackIR, I first made only minor head movements, which seemed to make me disorientated already. I was afraid I would never get used to that. I felt somewhat lost in mid-air, got dizzy, and was in big stress in dogfights. To be honest - I only continued using it, because I had spent 120,- Euro on the device, and I couldn't accept that should have been spent for nothing. Now I can hardly believe it anymore. I needed time to get used to it - quite a lot of time actually; it took me two months or even more. But now I can even follow an ace-flown Camel in a tight right turn underneath my aircraft, and find him coming out the other side below me - without losing control about my craft. I would never want to miss this experience again. As I said, I don't know if it will work for you - I only wanted to tell you, that I also felt "air sick" for quite some time. I meant to say: don't give it up too early; it may develop. .
  6. I feel much the same as you do, mighty. But I have also read much against him and his behaviour, in private messages I exchanged with some friends here. Like you, I think we are adults enoughs to realise how someone like him has his "special patterns". He was often rude, and sometimes even unfair (by acting against his own rules towards newbies for example), but this way I seemed to know him better than I may know some people, who hide behind a mask of politeness. If there was a voting, I would vote for him to be allowed to come back. But there are rules here, which are not made by you and me - forum rules, which must be accepted. He had more than one warning. He was even allowed to remain here, when he was about to get banned the first time. He knew he should have cared a bit better about his words. After all written words - not spoken ones in quick temper. For some, there will be no warning signs that work - they will still walk across the closed, unsafe bridge. He was a Lemming in that way. I know how much the forum meant for him - and I feel sad for him, that he can't be here anymore.
  7. Abbay, this was an advice for redpiano - because he needs to find, where his problems lie. For you, if it works, then leave the mods on, no problem.
  8. Now Hauksbee may already feel a bit "positively embarrassed", but I want to put on top here, that the good soul that he is, sent me the first book of an old series by Heinz Nowarra: 50 JAHRE DEUTSCHE LUFTWAFFE (Band 1 - 1910 - 1915). Thanks again, Hauksbee! Captain, it's funny to read all the things you now see with TrackIR, since we knew all the time, that it would be like that. Hauksbee has done something really great - and it came to the perfectly right person. Congratulations!

  10. Thanks, Adger! You're right - Shiloh hasn't returned from Xmas leave, it seems. As for "unc" - he got banned for repeated bad behaviour in public. He MAY still be a reader here - in that case: greetings, Unc!
  11. Good to see some "on topic" stuff. Do you have more specialities, Shredder?
  12. Welcome to OFF once again, golden eagle - seeing what you aimed for, you made the right choice. Did I add you to the OFF Forum Pilots Maps? If not, please send me a PM with your town and country, and I'll do so. Oh, and I will have a virtual Warsteiner - new guy buys the drinks! Make it large!
  13. Update 28 February 2012 - 00:40 h Berlin time (= GMT + 1) rjw, Ontario, added. The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  14. elephant, you lucky Greek, the trees in northern Europe won't green before May. You may see some crocusses in March and April, but not much more.
  15. Good tip, Pol - I had enough "history" weather-wise for a while. Why not have it nicer? But it's nevertheless great to have the historical weather option.
  16. Well, Scandinavia in OFF Forum could now already form a basket ball team - that's a start!
  17. redpiano, do yourself a favour and read "Tips & Hints" here - there will be everything about a clean de-istallation and proper new install in the correct order of software and patches: http://overflandersfields.com/FAQ.htm
  18. Yeah, with chives - hmmmmm!!!!
  19. Update 26 February 2012 - 20:58 h Berlin time (= GMT + 1) FredrikR, Sweden, added. The maps are in post 1 of this thread
  20. That must have been another officer - probably one who had problems with landing.
  21. Or, as some American "Air Cavallery" officer said: "Helicopters cannot fly. Helicopters beat the air, until it will carry them."
  22. Would you really want to trust an aircraft, that is doing THIS during the whole flight???
  23. Aaaah - you mean that minor error! ... When you have found the right stuff for those cells, please let me know. I was also wrong by writing 15 February, when it was 15 January. Damn stuff between my ears - sometimes I think, Aliens have substituted it with scrambled eggs overnight!
  24. Why me - my facts were correct? Mmuahahahahahahaaaa!!!!!!
