  1. OT, cause not made of barley: I'm with you about swearing off, Cameljockey, but I don't drink Coke or Pepsi. I recently discovered Ayran, a Turkish yoghurt drink made of just 60% yoghurt, water and salt. Very good especially on hot summer days.
  2. Yer not alone, mighty - a very good pleading for the early years, which I fully agree with!
  3. Hasse, you should rattle and drum as loud as Widowmaker did for his Snipe. (But I know, that the devs know, what's missing. One day they will be available).
  4. Scramble with Jasta 17 - many British Nieuport 24 with the Lewis gun over our field. I could claim two of them. When I was out of ammo, I landed, but switched over to the white blips on my TAC. I saw a flight of 4 SPAD VII attacking a marching German column. Another fine demo for Creaghorn's tracers.
  5. This reports of a British tunnel system of the Great War may interest some of you: http://barista.media2.org/?p=3011
  6. Well, he said they will do, when there is enough progress to show. I trust them, that they will do.
  7. Wonderful video, Creaghorn! You are a very lucky man now: you can live another childhood! Enjoy it! And be patient with the lady - she had to grow him for 9 months and maybe a bit exhausted now; she will need your love and care. All the best for you three!
  8. Interesting to see, that Question #1 seems to show: most of us are flying both sides equally.
  9. Yeah, yeah, I know, British_eh - thanks for the reminder. This weekend I'll have time to invest in it.
  10. Great, Pol - I'll be patient; I know you'll come up with something to amaze me.
  11. Welcome here, Spitfire! If you come here more often, you will see, that OFF isn't only a great sim; it also has a great community around here. They will try to help you with any questions. Please send me a PM with your town and country - I will add you to our OFF Pilots Maps then.
  12. For Rabu - and all Nieuport lovers! Nieuport N11 "Bébé" flying Full scale N24 (for Rabu)
  13. Never saw this Caudron from Old Rhinebeck before. Enjoy the LVG, Hasse Wind - and everybody! 1914 Caudron G.III at Old Rhinebeck LVG C.VI air to air (for Hasse Wind)
  14. Oh, great: a conspiracy!!! Although - it looks like my usual proceedure with the Albatros at the end of my fights....
  15. Since the decision, that the devs won't show any developments for P4, so that they can't be copied by other sims, it has become rather quiet around here. In PM's with good members, I also noticed that they miss some info from the devs. Now, I have been thinking about ways to change that a little bit, perhaps. Here is my thought: The other most competitive sim(s) must also have their forums, where they (perhaps) show their latest ideas and developments. Now, would it be possible, that you (OFF devs) do at least show stuff, that the others have already presented; stuff they are definitely working on already (so it couldn't be a copy of OFF anymore)? I wrote this, because I'm sure it would be some important spice to our forum - if you say, it can't be done, that's okay; but I wanted to suggest it.
  16. It can be mastered, if you take some care and are aware, that it has not as much power as later craft. So you need to fly it with great awareness of your energy. For tighter turns, it is always good to dive to gain speed. Don't bank it too hard, use full rudder. I have shot down Nieuport Bebes with it, so it is possible to fight them. But you will feel like balancing on a tightrope most of the time.
  17. Stratos, you can join Jasta 4 (which is first called FA 23) - the fly the Eindecker E.II from 1. September 1915. Didn't find an earlier one. But do yourself a favour and start with a better fighter - like the Halberstadt D.II - otherwise it might lead to much frustration. You could still do the difficult Eindeckers later?
  18. I would try anything at least once, before I judged it. Your Black Pudding could be similar to our "Blutwurst" (your name is much nicer though). Here is a picture of a meal called "Himmel und Erde" (Heaven and Earth). That is the "German black pudding.
  19. Yeah, yeah, yeah! And I'll show you how it feels when your bum gets warmed up by phosgen ammo, fired from an outclassed fighter, old boy! Mmuahahahahahahahaaa!!!!! I was more impressed when I looked at the content of my handkerchief last time I blew my nose. [Capt. Blackadder] Hey, Mighty - you also payed Winder fo this fake???!!!
  20. Hihi - good job by Lou there, Widowmaker! Great you honour it by making it your banner. It fits you 100%, IMHO.
  21. What's a "scouse"?
  22. Well, I have started to write down the Albatros D.II and D.III, but I have the ambition to write my own "Dsherrmann" style. Of course Dej or you should correct it, but the way should be kept. This weekend, I will fly them against all their OFF opponents, so I can give tips for fighting each of them.
  23. That's too tough, Dej. And we got the Fokker E.V "Razor" without that (I wouldn't have made it). So let the man have the Snipe.
  24. I don't know anyone, who has flown through the whole war and survived it. Even Creaghorn, who is probably the most careful flyer, flying the sim as if it could cost his real life, has not survived a time of two years. I have given up to start at the beginning - I now pic a time of year, the aircraft, and a place to start, which I like, and there I got - until my end. Did you check my link for the map? (Hope you are positioned right).
  25. Yes, the Camel could and should be more tricky indeed, when even I - coming from the opposite Albatros - can fly it easily.
