  1. I know that very well. Part of the "immersion factor". When flying OFF, I am really there, in my crate, with these wingmen. Since I lost three good ones, I changed my tactics. I now remain high, observing their fight, and dive on those enemies, who bring them into trouble. My Wing1 always remains with me. Still though, I couldn't save them all. I am just happy, when I bring wing1 back home.
  2. Thank you, Morris! Will try it!
  3. Rich, there are the "Tips & Tricks" in the OFF General Help; then the "General Help Topics" above, in the sticky threads; and the FAQs on the website www.overflandersfields.com I think you mean the graphic sliders; thy are in "Workshop" > Graphics Config > File > Custom settings You will get a warning popping up; ignore it. The "Overrides" are found there too, go in Custom Settings to Window, then Overrides. But to set those up, you should look for the instructions in the above help topics.
  4. My god, each time I see the thin wires or the way rope held something together, I really wonder how they dared to get up in these crates! Does anyone know, why the wheel spokes were always covered with linnen?
  5. ...does performance increase with lighter fuel loads? Oh yes, it makes a difference. Try a "Scramble" with only 20% fuel filled in. Your kite will be like a wild pony - much better agility.
  6. Or he can't get a connection to the server of the "other sim"?
  7. Yep - it could mean: this is me, the one with the cross. Or: this observer is dead...
  8. Yep, Herr Prop-Wasche, as I said: you can turn softly banked, with rudder, or turn tight hard banked, with only elevator.
  9. Go to "Workshop", bottom, right from center, there is the choice: - fuel management or - individual skin You can't have both (with fuel mangement, other wings may have the same skin as you).
  10. Widow, as I see your constant sorrows about not having a Snipe, here is a painting ar least. Hope, Russel Smith won't mind - this and so many more can be found in the Galleries over at the Aerodrome's "WW1 Aviation Art Gallery": http://www.theaerodrome.com/gallery/
  11. Von Paulus: At this point, the client was in a catatonic state.
  12. Here is an excellent model on "The Aerodrome" website. And other great models too. http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/members/beeza-albums-my-1-32-ww1-aircraft-collection-picture963-wnw-1-32-scale-lvg.html
  13. Hihi, that's why I said the above. It didn't matter so much, that there were two versions. I was just glad to find a sample, Now I was able to make a factory painted hood. Here is what I have done so far:
  14. Oh my god - was it your fault, von Paulus. Did he kill you?
  15. Well, but you got it done, and she's looking great! To stay alive in her: fly as high as possible - this craft can fly the highest altitude in OFF. At least 14.000 feet. For more advice, Hasse Wind will come in hopefully. He loves the "bitch". And really, she is a sturdy and reliable craft - if only the engine wasn't in the forward view!
  16. I was searching especially for an early version of RLM 02 Grey, and found it on the website below. Now the modellers among you know, we can be pretty "anal-fixated" about detail and research. But nevertheless, I really found two versions of that Grey. It had a different tone until 1940, when it was slightly changed. At "The Aerodrome" I have asked Dan-San for his opinion of the factory colours of Albatros hoods, and he replied, that until the D Va, all hoods/cowlings were factory-painted in the grey, that was later called RLM 02 - as I had assumed. Now, here are the two versions of the RLM 02 - as I said - you may not find much difference. Later, the hoods were of course field-painted to the likes of the Jastas, or even single pilots. Lots of colour samples here: http://www.schiffsmo...ndardfarben.htm
  17. This shows again: any human intelligence security measures will be overrun by human intelligence.
  18. Yes, that glossy finish could just be clear varnish. After cleaning the surfaces a lot, or after surface damage, they may have overpainted them with a new coat?
  19. Okay, thank you, Paarma! Then I'll have a chance!
  20. Thanks for sharing, Paarma - not sure, if I can understand a word though. Although you are not very far away across the Baltic Sea from Berlin, it makes a difference.
  21. For Hasse Wind, our honorable reconnaisanz and bomber pilot, who iss fyink one mission after zee ozzer, indefatigably, for ze Kaiser and ze Fazzerland!
  22. From the Picture Album of the Bordeauxred Baron 1. A "Storck" should not mess with an "Albatros"! Mmuahahahahahaaaaa!!!! 2. One of zeese momentz, when you think: Thank you, Gravity!
  23. "Others"? Don't they live in parallel worlds? But we can't see them? Nor can they see us? In that case, they don't matter. Mmuahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!
