  1. Hi, Simon Sorry to hear that. Be careful, old boy - as far as I know, Tetanus should be three injections. Not sure, if yours is still strong enough? If it helps you: I won't do any skinning today or tomorrow. Lots of work to do, and tomorrow, I'll buy balcony flowers with Dorina (step by step...Lol!)...
  2. Siggi, I'm doing more skinning than flying - could really do with that monitor. But that's not the only reason. I lost three pilots of my new pilot (there aren't any old) to cloud turbulences (even by flying through a veil of haze); never had that before last patch; two got killed by ground fire; and three by breaking up craft in mid air. I must admit, that I'm fed up a bit at the moment, of constantly getting killed by all these incidents. I just can't seem to get anywere...
  3. So, you're really into it now, Lou? Great (but like a drug - can't stopp. Disregard work, washing up, etc.) Well, you know that now, don't you? Atmospheric shots, Jimko!
  4. Additional info to the "Stropp" Albatros. No one seems to know, who really flew it, and how he died; as the plane fell into Allied hands intakt. Also, the name "Stropp" confuses people. But it has two meanings (if it was not the name of the pilot): Wikipedia: Ein Stropp (von ursprünglich Strupf = „Knoten, Schlinge“, verwandt: Strippe) bezeichnet seemännisch ein kurzes Stück Tauwerk mit Augen oder Haken an meist beiden Enden. Can't translate it all, but it is 1. a salilor's bend 2. in the Rhineland area: a little boy
  5. Well, they couldn't either. But I think, it doesn't need too much data. Next time, I'll set up a clock with takeoff time, and look at that. And write only things like "north of Arras" or "west of waypoint 1". Perhaps enough...
  6. Thank you, Rooster, and Paarma You have done so many already, Paarma - are you still hungry? I've seen ,that you (?) had even made the blue-white Alb before, that is now in the download section, by Deadhead. Come to Berlin for a year, and we do them all together (Lol!!!) Cheers; Olham
  7. Albatros D Va "Stropp" from Jasta 46 Since a gentle pilot around here sent me a documentary from the National Air and Space Museum, about the restauration of the Jasta 46 Albatros D Va "Stropp", I wanted to do this skin. It may not look it, but it was so far the longest working process on a skin for me. As the restored plane has a very light, bright plywood tone, I had to get that done first. Then I had to get a good green painting, without covering up the structures and material from our skinners' original work. Getting the tail stripes right, took most of the time, and I see, they are not yet correct. I scanned the weight writing, and the "Stropp", and had to clean it before tracing. And, and, and... as I said, a lot of work. But I'm quite happy now already! Enjoy! PS: as far as I saw, little seems to be known about it's pilot. Also, there are debates, wehter the fabric on the wings was Lozenge or Green / Mauve camouflage. Perhaps I do both versions.
  8. Don't know what's going on - I can't seem to get it into "Screenshots"! Sorry -wrong again!
  9. Why dont you fly Dshermann side, no? Zee pilots are orderly trained officers, who follow der leader blind (...?...Heard that before ?) werever your orders send zem - and if to hell! Mmmuahahahaaa!!!
  10. If my memory don't fail me, Canada took 14 - 20 days for two people, I read posts from.
  11. Ooops - wrong theater. This was meant to go to "Screenshots" - were it will be in a miunute.
  12. 1. Do one round at your airfield to collect them all. 2. Warp only at 70% throttle or less. 3. Press "R" more often. At every turn/waypoint, they can easily loose touch.
  13. With thanks to the sender of the documentary about the Albatros D Va "Stropp" from Jasta 46. I did my best to get everything as close as possible. But the rudder of the plane in the docu is a late, longer and rounded version, all of wood as it seems; that I didn't find in BHaH. Also, we don't have a Jasta 46 yet. But maybe one day...?
  14. Yes, alright - thank you, Paarma. I will follow the Aerodrome people, and give it Mauve/Green wings. That fits good witn the yellow/green design. Here is a first screenshot - I must do some fine adjustments still.
  15. Fill in 150% - 200% of what the mission needs; and reduce throttle to 60 - 70 % before warp.
  16. So, I won't have a cable from head to rig? It's Bluetooth then, and much more fefficient/precise? In that case, I may get it.
  17. Change your behaviour, GAW - fly FOR your wingmen. Watch them, guard them, help them out, and bring them back home with you. It will be rewarded - with a good feeling, and with confirmations!
  18. SKINNERS MAKE A WIN.RAR FILE (AND A SCREESHOT) OF THEIR SKINS AND UPLOAD IT HERE: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...amp;showcat=351
  19. Good looking: the Albatros D Va of Hans Böhning, by Deadhead - see: download section. Why didn't you post a screenshot here yet, Deadhead?
  20. BARNSTORM - if you meant the original OFF skins: we all work from there, changing them. It's permitted by the team!
  21. The skin is ready now; as a special addition, I have added a little dripping oil for Widowmaker and OvS. But only a little!
  22. View File Albatros D Va "Reichsadler" ("Eagle of the Empire") Skin created from original OFF skins made by OvS/James Romano and Paarma/Arto Karttunen. This skin's emblem is the Reichsadler, as it was designed at the time of the Kaiser empire. The heraldic emblem of the eagle seems to go back to the double-headed eagle, used for the arms of the "Holy Roman Empire of German Nations" (Heiliges Römisches Reich Deutscher Nationen). And for Widowmaker and OvS, I have added a little oil dripping. Submitter Olham Submitted 04/14/2009 Category Aircraft Skins

  24. Think, we must thank OvS for them - after my Camel carreer, I'll try an S.E.5a too. Yes, they sound great!
  25. Got the documentary by the National Air and Space Museum, about the restauration of the D Va "Stropp", Jasta 46. The Museum restorers gave it Lozenge fabric wings. Now I found opposing info at "The Aerodrome", saying, the camo should have been Mauve and Green. Here's the link: http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/aircraft...p-albatros.html Have you got any further info? I would like to do this skin for the contest. Thanks; Olham
