  1. I have mostly been in the same Jastas again; 2, 5, 6, 11, 12, 15. Not much more. So Jasta 40, you say - I'll check; thanks. Do we have the STROPP plane (Jasta 46, I think)? Must check that too.
  2. Well, we should much rather fight together - it's hard enough, as it is. I like your approach, to fly a plane you like, even when it is definitely NOT the best fighter plane around. And after some time, you find more of it's special strengths.
  3. Is this a 3D model, as they have to be built for flight sims? And which program do you use (a free one?) ?
  4. Could get complicated, when on a highway with full speed, and you give "full rudder left"...
  5. Rugbyfan, you may know it since long; but in case, you don't: Trimming your plane nose higher or lower, can be adjusted via two keys (see "controls"). If you put those on two keys like "up arrow" and "down arrow", and count and remember, how many ticks your plane needs to balance it, you can do it at the start, and everything should be fine then.
  6. You are, Hood. The British say, you're from down under. Well, and as that is pretty much on the opposite side of the earth, you are (from our point of view) headover. From your point of view though...
  7. Being a grafic designer and semi-artist, I'd hardly be able to force myself to shoot this one down.
  8. Hey, that's something different for a change - a two-seater! May give Widow a headache - now he must even think about doing two-seaters! Lol! But why a French name? and are you sure, it wasn't "L'Elephant volant"? It has British concordes - why not "The Flying Elephant"?
  9. You mean, "Bloody April" ?
  10. Yes! Go and peel the spuds in the cantine, pilot! But you might use the effect - and plaster any enemy plane on your spinning down! But seriously - I experienced two nasty spins myself today. Never had that before! on the first one, the plane broke up in mid air. But I had not even performed very tricky manoeuvers... Both on Albatros D Va - a plane I thought to know...
  11. Yes! Nice, Rooster! Now you tasted blood, eyh? Keep them coming!
  12. Vee know how too handl a beautiful lady, mein Herr Englander! But I may add a little oil smear and such - worked out some in Photoshop already. But it's true - if you look at the Albatros, it is a wooden plane with paint on; not like canvas. You first have to seal the wood with primer, and then paint it in two or three layers, until it appears like a shiny car. I'm pretty sure, German air crew were rather neat about the nicely painted craft. If you see nowadays, how the people treat their cars - it's insane! Even the bumper (that should be for bumping, no?) mustn't have a scratch or stain. Regarded that way, I must have rather French or British ancestors. If you saw my kitchen... (Lol!)
  13. Don't show the kids - they like the rabbits!
  14. No, not Pol - it's Winder! (Lol!) On my Dsherman side of ze trenches, I just sit in der sun ant vait, until she killed you all. British Wunderwaffe - enemy must do nothink - Mmmuahahahahaaaaa!!!!
  15. A happy Easter to all the OFF Forum community, the whole OFF dev team, and all from the Combat Ace Forum! Olham
  16. Nice catch of athmosphere - gave me a good feeling for the S.E.5a. And sorry, but it did me good, that you crumpets also suffer from severe Flak. I do my Ballon attacks now in steep curves - makes it difficult for the Archies and worked so far. But on leaving, you must zig zag like a hare, still. They get really mad about their ballons...
  17. Now I should defend my lady against that. You seem to be another pilot, who prefers a good looking plane to the lethal fighters, eyh? Now, may you become THE German pilot on Pfalz DIIIa, as I may be THE Albatros man. But please: do you never say that again - that an Albatros was ugly! Otherwise, it might come to the first incident of two German pilots duelling over the lines both in German fighter planes. And THAT, my friend, would definitely get us both into one of the Kaiser's prisons. So, let's better stick together - it's hard enough against the crumpets, the headovers, the yankees and the frogs.
  18. I'm not very good at computing, but try this: Make a Win.rar compressed file of it, then throw the file on the desktop, and try to upload it from there?
  19. Hahaha!!! UncleAl - you sure gave them something to think and talk about. In future, you may be known as "Radar Man"! :patsak:
  20. I'm not at all a D VII fan, I find, she looks like a flying soap box. And for the history, all sounds reasonable, what you both wrote, and I know, some things may never be fully cleared. Also I notice often, that the former opponent sides have both their own truths in some differing points. Performance data for example, do often differ in a way, that you could almost say: British planes performed better in British data, wereas German craft did better in German data. Now, I don't want to start a hassle about such things; and certainly not for Mr. Fokker, who was, as you said, Dutch. I'm not a real life pilot either. I haven't even seen these planes in the air, cause I'm not as lucky as the Americans or Australians, to have airshows with these crates. All experience I have with a Fokker D VII is flying it in this simulation. And there I found, she does perform most dangerously. Had I to fight an "online air combat", she should be my best choice. Although - I'm such a style and design freak, I would perhaps rather "die" in a beautiful fighter as the Albatros D Va, than to be the victor in a flying soapbox.
  21. Reichsadler means "Eagle of the Empire", and I always wanted to make a very conservative skin I imagined to have been flown by Guenther Ritter von Mahlow, a typicall Prussian noble with not much humour for a more cheeky skin (Lol!) The eagle, I think goes back to a double-headed eagle, which was the sign of the "Heilige Römische Reich deutscher Nationen" - that would be: "Holy Roman Empire of German Nations", more or less - at least very old.
  22. Didn't know that either - Gous, one soon day I must read your tutorial...
  23. Wow - superb screenshot of your "own kill" (Lol!) Didn't know, this happened to Nupes, too. Could you sail the plane, with engine low, then - or is that fatal? My newest screens are about my newest skin; so here's one, were I climb to kill R.E.8s.
  24. Well, I did a quick check of production numbers here: http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft S.E.5a: 5,205 Sopwith Camel: 5.490 Fokker D VII: 1.000 In Wikipedia I just read, that this specific craft had to be handed over to the Allies (or to be destroyed), due to it's extreme fighter qualities.
  25. More than Sopwith Camels even? That would surprise me.
