  1. Better watch out Olham. You might like the DVII. Naaahh...... just can't imagine you in anything but your trusty Albatros. Although you could use your new craft as an element of surprise. Who is that exceptional pilot in that new DVII ?
  2. Hi Olham, Thankyou for the reply and the complement. There really is a great wealth of knowlege around here. Now we have plenty of Lozenge colours for a Fokker DVII. You really are very active in ths forum helping everyone out and comming up with interesting ideas. You are a big asset to this close community. Keep up the good work. That model really is a pleasure to fly. If the real one flies anything like it, I can see why it was so successful. Thanks again, Speedski
  3. My Fokker is still flying after 8 years and I am amazed at that as I have replaced the electric engine several times. It now runs a brushless motor which I expect to last a long time. Good luck with yours. Cheers, Speedski
  4. I researched and built a Fokker DVII years ago and seem to remember that the 4 colour Lozenge was used for Fighter scouts and 5 colour for Navel aircraft. A third more uniform hexagonal print was used for bombers. There then was a different colour used on the top and underside. I have all the patterns and have supplied the ones for the Fokker DVII This was all done some time ago and my research and memory could be wrong but I did devote quite some time to it. I hope this helps The Down bright pinkish pattern is the underside. Speedski
  5. How about "Dad's Army" always a favourite of mine. Just some good old English humour and I see nothing more in it . :) Speedski
  6. Well done, nice neat looking model. Good workmanship. Speedski
  7. Buy a can of nitrate aircraft dope for fuel and you will have the smoke , the smell, the fire and an emergency thrown in ! Good grief. Speedski
  8. Some of us that left, never really left. We are just very very quiet. Cheers lou, all the best. Speedski
  9. Thankyou everyone, I just love all this stuff. Great work. Kindest regards, Speedski
  10. Ah... so thats where you all are. Top effort Olham, thanks for looking after this project. Cheers, Speedski
  11. Really good stuff guys. Well done Speedski
  12. Olham' yes I have been flying in 1918. Nice and busy. I think I saw you there. Didn't I shoot you down a while back ? ( This is where you come back with the comment about the nurse ) Cheers, Speedski
  13. It surprises me to hear people say they don't like scrambles. I see scramble appear at briefing and I smile, have a little squirm in my seat and say , Yeah get me up there. I have tried to set most things on realistic. Last time I looked I think it said %130 , is that possible? I do use warp because I like lots of action. I don't think it makes it any easier, perhaps the opposite. It certainly makes you work to stay alive. Anyway, for me, I love the furballs , and if you are by yourself you work up a nervous sweat. If you survive and send the last one spiralling down, you have a great sense of achievment returning safely back at the home airfield. How about surviving a furball, youre chasing the last enmy on your own and you get jumped by another 5 enmy. Now this sim really knows how to put the pressure on and keep it on. I am sure at times in the real war people faced daunting odds. Just love the sim. Cheers, Speedski
  14. Great footage and music, thanks. Hey Uncleal, I have Aces High too. Great movie. Cheers, Speedski
  15. I think the DVIII turned out the nicer looking aircraft with the rotary. It just has more character. Speedski
