when a part in max has "no material assigned" it shows up a a ghostly white.it cn be seen through any solid parts of the aircraft.

one thing is that while FE2 is better in just about every way to the original some of the add on aircraft have very strange visual defects that only the original creator can fix.I'm thinking of going back to FE1 until a work around can be found. :(

I never tracked what down which exact effect was causeing it.Wish I could be of more help.

I think that may be an interaction of a "particle" effect with a grafix card.Did you add a 3rd party effect pack or is that stock.I get that in Stike fighters and FE depending on what effects I have loaded I do not get it with stock.I have a lower end card.

In FE2 there is a seperate decal folder where you have a folder named the same as the aircraft then usualy a folder with the skin nam then a "D" folder where the decals are put.

I would go with the Lloyd since we seem to be on anAustrian kick these last few weeks ;)Anything from that list would be very welcome though.If you have the inclination to do another allied singleseater inthe future the DH.5 might be interesting with its reversed stagger wings.

while it's still not certain alot of the info I found on the net points to the "spinner" being a fixed device and not moving with the prop.It seems that there was a fixed shaft attached somehow.There is some controversy and a few differing opinions though.

That is a very generous offer Monty.I hope someone with the tools and skill will take you up on that.In the meen time Stephen1918 has came through with the "fake pilot" model.once things settle down( my father passed away this week) I will get it uploaded. I was just thinking that someone with Monty's model can mod it into a Nieuport 21.basicaly that was a Nie17 with a different engine and the cowling of the Nie11.

I figured that it would be rather "simple" as long as a 3D modder had the time.Of course it is easy for me to say simple since I'm not the one who will have to do it ;)

I would have to agree,most of the info I have seen show ailerons on the upper wings only.I think that some may have been "upgraded or there might have beed some D.IIs on the line when the switch to the D.III went into effect and sometimes "hybreds" may have resulted.Or it could have been old fasioned missidentification of photos.

I would like to offer a sugestion for a 2 seater, any Austrian 2 seater or maybe one of the 2 seater Nieuport 10s with the Nieuport you could use it as the basis for the single and 2 seater plus the Nieuport 12 is very similar and with modification might(since I have no 3d experience) be made from the same source.Thanks again.I figure the Nieuports can be used in the traditional west front or the east as russia used them and Italy used them against Austria-Hungary.
