  1. DH VENOM NF.51 / J-33

    Venom NF.51 / J-33 (stopgap)

Well this a fake Venom Nightfighter for new outstanding campaign in Sweden by JonathanRL.

I made this 'plane' around original fantastic skin from Knug.

A working radar is added, but Kevin could tweak it! (that's not my job)

The serial numbers (as usual) are historical.

You must have installed my Vampire FB.50 to work properly.
    Take it here http://combatace.com/files/file/12332-dh-vampire-fb20-j-28b/

Install: as usual all in mod folder.

I hope that someone of our 3D artists could make the real Venom NF.51 and the long awaited Sea Venom.

    Enjoy!

  5. CAC Sabre Mk. 31 / 32

In 1951, CAC obtained a licence agreement to build the F-86. It was decided to power the aircraft using a licence-built version of the Rolls-Royce Avon R.A.7. This involved a re-design of the fuselage as the Avon was shorter, wider and lighter than the General Electric J47 that powered the North American-built aircraft. Because of the engine change the type is often referred to as the Avon Sabre. To accommodate the Avon, over 60% of the fuselage was redesigned along with a 25% increase in the size of the air intake. Another major revision was in replacing the F-86F's six machine guns with two 30mm Aden cannons, while other changes were also made to the cockpit and to provide an increased fuel capacity.

The RAAF operated the CA-27 from 1956 to 1971.

In 1958–60, CAC Sabres completed numerous ground attack sorties against communist insurgents in Malaya, during the Malayan Emergency, with No. 3 Squadron RAAF and No. 77 Squadron RAAF. Following the Emergency, they remained in Malaysia at RAAF Butterworth. From August 1964 onwards these aircraft responded several times to incursions by Indonesian MiG-21 fighters. However, the Indonesian aircraft always turned back before crossing the international boundary.

In 1962, a detachment of eight CA-27s, which was later expanded and designated No. 79 Squadron RAAF (79 Sqn), was sent from Butterworth to RAAF Ubon, Ubon, Thailand, to assist the Thai and Laotian governments in actions against communist insurgents. Australia and Thailand were allies of South Vietnam and the United States during the Vietnam War, and 79 Sqn performed air defence for United States Air Force attack and bomber aircraft based at Ubon. The squadron never engaged North Vietnamese aircraft or ground forces and was withdrawn in 1968.

Former RAAF CAC Sabres were operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (TUDM) between 1969 and 1972. Following the establishment of better relations with Indonesia, 23 CAC Sabres were donated to the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU) between 1973 and 1975; five of these were former Malaysian aircraft.

Based on North American's F-86 Sabre day fighter, the F-86D had only 25 percent commonality with other Sabre variants, with a larger fuselage, larger afterburning engine, and a distinctive nose radome.

  12. Sukhoi Su-11 "Fishpot-C"

The Su-11 was an upgraded version of the Sukhoi Su-9 ('Fishpot') interceptor, which had been developed in parallel with the OKB's swept wing Su-7 fighter bomber.
Recognizing the Su-9's fundamental limitations, Sukhoi began work on the Su-11, which first flew in 1961 as the T-47 prototype.
The Su-11 shared the Su-9's delta wing, swept tailplanes and cigar-shaped fuselage, as well as the circular nose intake, but had a longer nose to accommodate the more powerful 'Oryol' (Eagle; NATO reporting name 'Skip Spin') radar set.
A more powerful Lyulka AL-7F-1 turbojet was installed, providing 9.8 kN (2,210 lbf) more afterburning thrust for improved climb rate and high-altitude performance (and to compensate for increased weight).
The Su-11 can be distinguished from the Su-9 by the external fuel pipes atop the fuselage, aft of the cockpit.
The Su-9's beam-riding K-5 missiles were replaced by a pair of R-98 (AA-3 'Anab') weapons, usually one R-98MR semi-active radar homing and one R-98MT infrared guided. Like many interceptors of the period, it had no cannon.

    A new tga loadout image

    Some data.Ini tweakings:

    - Woking canopy (key=10), autoclosing at take off and opened when plane is parked (Thanks Mue for outstanding lod-viewer!)

    - Viper63a for his pilot (not included) and for make me reinstall this plane on my new PC!
    - paulopanz for RoCAF skins, decals, edits and tweakings

    NOTE:

I made some years ago these skins that now refreshed and upgraded for clashes over Formosa/Taiwan campaign
To use this plane in game as a target or in a campaign a proper high quote mission type should be needed.
I tried to ask Tk, when he answered us needing our money, to include but he denied because it couldn't be funny.
I don't think so and as we have several strategic recon plane like Yak-25 or SR-71 and RB-57R (never uploaded!) if someone could add this mission type to the game (i can't say how) he would be very welcome.
At the moment some good intercept missions for example for the MiG-19SV should be very useful to use this beauty.

    That's all volks!

  17. Hunter FR.76A

Abu dhabi had 3 recon Hunters used by Ground Attack Squadron.

The skin was inside FR.10 pack but converted in jpg format.
    Decals resized and tweaked.

I decided to split FR.10 in several planes, using their historical designation as Cliff made for SF-1.
So You can pick only the types you need/want
