In the last couple of days I saw in one shop, here in Portugal, selling the MCFS3 Ubisoft DVD version. It costs around 9.90€. If anybody is interested it would only have to pay that value plus Postage and Packing.

Usually when there's a presence of a graphical card, the bios switches automatically to it. But if not, than you can plug your monitor into the motherboard integrated video plug. But I'm suspecting you've a bad graphic card.

Duce I'm confused. So you had 2x Geforce7900GS 256MB, and not only one like you've said previuously, right? And now you're trying to use one GeForce7900GS with your new one 9800GTX+? SLI won't work with two different cards. Have you tried your new card alone, in slot 1?

I've never tried the MP part of the game. How is it?

At least in training you can fly german planes as well. I've just fly from the north edge to the south edge in the Canterbury map, at a average speed of 510Km/h, and it took me 8 minutes. So It took more or less the same from east to west. I'd say that wop maps are around 70x70km. I didn't try with other maps, but probably it's the same. Besides being an immersion killer, it's not bad for small type missions, but for a campaign?.... I bet Storm of War will have bigger maps. Now in OFF what's the average distance that a plane fly in a mission?

Like I've said in another thread, it's not hard to hit the borders of the maps. You can leave the action but you won't go very far. But the smoothness feeling it is not only FPS related or small map related. I'm sure that the graphic engine is really very optimized and well coded. Maybe the motion blur also helps in giving the feeling of smoothness. Probably they are using a few tricks, without having much FPS impact, to create a illusion of smoothness. That's just a feeling.

But even ARMAII doesn't have a map as huge as OFF.

IMO they are tiny. They are OK for dogfighting but not for all missions type. For campaign, you'll need a much larger map, maybe not huge as OFF, but much more larger. You hit the borders map quite easily. That is a immersion killer.

Precisely, but you need to play it in order to really admire the visual effects and have the sense of speed. It's not enough to watch the videos. In my case one thing is for sure, even with this stunning effects, smooth experience, etc, OFF is what really I want to play

Another reason is the way the textures in ground were made. If you zoom you'll see that not everything is 3D. But it is so well done that in the air all looks 3D.

It's a burned copy, right? Probably bad brand and/or bad burned (high speeds). Some times after a few months they aren't read anymore. Usually due to bad sealing.
