I have been playing IL-2 for about 4 years and may have some ideas. Maybe the thrust vectoring function could be adapted for prop-pitch, since mixture is hardly used at least when I fly. I only use it on very long flights to conserve fuel and other things. I think somebody did some key assignments for trim awhile back for the Tu-22M3 so that should be able to be worked out. I think the biggest things are the ability to control radiator, prop-pitch, manual trim, and possibly a mixture control, after that, your set!

Hi all, I am trying to make some .DDS damage textures for some aircraft that are missing them, like my RAZBAM A-6, but can't get them to show up in game. I am using Photoshop 7.0, with Nvidia's DDS Exporter/Importer for Photoshop. What I'm doing is I'm opening the base skin, adding the damage, then deleting the skin it's self, so I'm left with just the damage texture. I'll show you how I'm trying to save them: I'm not sure how to save them and have been playing around with it and can't get them to show up in the game. I also think I'm naming them right in the aircraft's configuration file as the _holes.dds name. I quite stumped by this, as I am quite good skinning for IL-2 and such. Any help would be much appreciated! liamp51

H all, I was wondering how I could add custom ground objects to a campaign or map, without using the mission editor. I wanted to add a bunch of the NVA infantry available on CA to the campaigns for the SEA campaigns that are in the game. I got them to be able to fire at low, slow flying helichoppers, or aircraft. and absolutely love the extra immersion that they have, now having to worry about small arms fire! It would be really cool to have the NVA camps in the Steel Tiger campaign populated with a bunch of NVA awaiting the unwary aircraft! Thanks! liamp51

Hi all, As some of you have taken an interest in my new website (which is still a WIP but is coming along) I will post my main goal of the website. It is mostly to help people find other websites like CA and SAS1946 that offer all the resources to help them mod IL-2 and the SF2 series. My other goal is to post some reviews on the SF2 series since their aren't a whole lot out there. My other goals are to put up different videos of these two great sims as I also have a passion for movie making. Hi all, I was wondering how easy it is to convert and FS 2004 plane or something and import it into SF2. I know the RAZBAM A-6A I have was an FSX model and so was the cockpit. It would be really cool to have some of the very nice freeware aircraft for MSFS in SF2 that can actually shoot/bomb things! Thanks! liamp51

Wow! IL-38 looks amazing! Now we will have a proper Soviet maritime patrol aircraft! If you can get all your planes to SF2 standard...that would be AMAZING! Can A2A re-fueling be made possible? Thanks! -
My biggest issue with props in SF2 is the prop-textures and detailed enough damage models. I think the prop textures need some improvement from the stock unmoving non-rotating disk that we have right now. Veltro2K's look awesome though! Also, is there some way you could have thrust vectoring set to prop pitch, or mixture? That would add a LOT of realism! Looks great! liamp51

Hi all, I just bought an D-loaded the RAZBAM A-6 Intruder for SF, but have an installation question. When I direct it to my MODS folder, it says there is right protected material there that will be overwritten. Does this mean it will overwrite my other MODS? Or is it just saying that? Hi all, I am doing a campaign in the A-6A Intruder and LOVE it! I also recently watched the movie, Flight Of The Intruder, a very good movie for people who haven't seen it! I was watching the movie, and had a thought, would it be possible to make the DIANE system for the A-6's in SF2? http://www.avsim.com/pages/0608/RAZBAM/fig15.jpg That would be really cool to have! Wow. Doesn't look like he was shot down...looks like turbine failure or a bird ingestion. There are no tracers or SAM trails that I can see, and no flack puffs unless it was all small arms fire. Looks like the pilot didn't have a good day!
