  1. Got an RTX 2080 TI

    I am looking at getting these items. Just need to decide on a motherboard. AMD RYZEN 7 3700X 8-Core 3.6 GHz (4.4 GHz Max Boost) G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB Video Card
  2. Got an RTX 2080 TI

Good for you Dave! I am in the process of selecting parts MB, Processor, RAM, and GPU for a long overdue upgrade but I am looking at AMD hardware due to the price point. The motherboard is the one part I have yet to settle upon. Once that is done I should be placing my order.
  3. To put that in another perspective that is just 250 people at $100 per person or 500 people at $50 per person. At the time of this post the average contribution is $52.57 per person from 37 people.
  4. Here is a great channel on YouTube called Astrum and two of the videos plus links to NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter pages.
  5. @GunnySonics I forgot to mention that the poster of the first video has published a book about his time flying helicopters in Vietnam. The book is "GUTS 'N GUNSHIPS: What it was Really Like to Fly Combat Helicopters in Vietnam" by Mark Garrison.
  6. You might find these interesting.
  7. Thanks for the Clemenceau reminder I have had it almost done for awhile. I will try and have it posted before the weekend is out.
  8. @mue I found an issue with LODViewer_v0.6.2. When viewing some of WhiteBoySamurai's ships when I click upon certain meshes used as pivot points for VLS missile and SBROC launchers it causes LODViewer to crash. I believe it is related to a "Material ID" issues as these are intended to not be visible in game. Below are screen captures of WhiteBoySamurai's DDG-72 variant of his DDG-51 shown in LODViewer v0.5.2, which has no problem with the related meshes and then contrasted with LODViewer v0.6.2 which crashes. LODViewer v0.5.2 pivot point meshes highlighted, note the "Material ID" listed... ...Vs. LODViewer v0.6.2, note the difference in the "Material ID" number contrasted with above... ...Crashed when pivot point mesh clicked upon.
  9. I am working with the uploaded to fix issues on this.
  10. I will give it a look and get back to you soon.
  11. I had an off the wall idea a couple of weeks ago. What does everyone think about a Death Star terrain map for SF2? I am thinking a relatively level terrain with various rectangular, circular, and what not geometric patterns for an artificial DEM file plus custom tiles to representing the building like surface structure of the Death Star with a canyon trench running through the middle of it to a target area with the primary target exhaust port below a main port. Create a couple of different turrets for the surface and tower mounted turbo lasers plus some low angle pedestal mounted cannons. I have this image in my mind of F-111's replacing the Y-Wings in the trench run and being able to prove if Wedge was right or not with his "...impossible, even for a computer." remark. Anyone with terrain making experience willing to weigh in on this idea?
  12. A video I thought I should share. Crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a 1930s Airliner. Encounter inflight icing, fuel problems, and weather as we head to remote northern Canada before crossing to Greenland, as we fly a Douglas DC-3 across the Atlantic to celebrate the 75th anniversary of D-Day.
  13. Just a thought but is your Avionics70.dll file working right? I just took a look at the TMF 1.0 version of both the FA-18A and the F-15A. The former is set to use the Avionics60.dll while the latter is set for the Avionics70.dll.
  14. @rwatson Check your messages. I invited you to join a PM thread that has just about everything needed to get a WWII ETO install started. I made it to help out another player with this same issue. It has been five years since I put in together so a lot of mods have come out since but it should still give you a good starting point.
  15. The Orville - Interactive Fan Experience

Just a reminder that "The Orville - Interactive Fan Experience" Alpha V1.0 is now available on Steam.
  16. Just thought I should let everyone know that the people behind Stage9 the Enterprise-D virtual reconstruction that got shutdown by CBS have reformed into Messy Desk Interactive. Their new project, which seems to have the informal blessing of "The Orville" creator Seth MacFarlane, is an interactive recreation of the shows titular ship. Just announced as of Tuesday, 9th July the official release date for "The Orville - Interactive Fan Experience" is the 23rd of July, 2019, 8:00 am PDT. See more links below the video. 17. In that data file none of the weapon stations have ASM listed under AllowedWeaponClass=. Try this minor data file edit and see if you can load Harpoons now. CF-188B_DATA.ini
  18. Would please you attach the data and loadout INI files for the aircraft in question so I can take a look at them?
  19. I just found out about these and thought I would share. https://apollopreliminarydrawings.com/
  20. The "Ymac=" entry for each wing listed just below the relevant "Chord=" entry appears to be the distance from the center line the given Wing, Outer Wing, or Stabilizer's Ymac is located. Maybe the ReferenceChord= is used as the base reference for the wing and the "Chord=" on each wing is the wing's chord at the distance the "Ymac=" is and/or with intact slats and flaps in retracted or extended position? You might find this thread useful as well. Maybe it should get added to the Knowledge Base.
  21. Well here is the Wikipedia definition of Chord (aeronautics). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chord_(aeronautics)
