  1. VFA-125 F/A-18D skin

    Version 1.0.0

I'm not sure if it was an F/A-18B or D that this skin goes on, but in either case drop this in the appropriate folder and go fly. In the drop down menu it is under VFA-125 Desert
  2. Took some artistic liberties with the roundels as I have no reliable shots or reference pictures (nor could I find some new ones) so that was the last thing I needed to do, so it's also uploaded.
  3. Another skin that somehow didn't get finished: I have to add roundels on the wings
  4. Yep. But that was a nice find, that update helped me even though I don't fly the Raptor.
  5. Good video, too bad the scale is small though, doesn't help when I zoom out the cockpit, or use wide view.
  6. That might help my situation as I didn't update the F-22, so it may help with the AMRAAMs not firing or showing HUD symbology. EDIT: There isn't a cue for the updated symbology, and Crusader may have a way of showing a shoot cue as I didn't see one.
  7. That's beyond me, Crusader knows stuff like that and can maybe help, or maybe Fubar512. I just do skins and fly man.
  8. I think he means Sidewinder. I took a hop in the same Raptor and didn't get much farther as my target wouldn't cooperate as far as locking onto an Iranian Phantom. Anyways, the best probably guesstimate through the radar MFD and get some sort of hope from that. I assume that the diamond represents the in-range indicator, but since I didn't get a lock on with my AIM-120Cs I can't say for certain as it was in range. If Dels (shoot him a PM, he may answer your question) is still around, maybe he can answer the question.
  9. View File VMFA (AW) -225 F/A-18D skin This skin is a "best fit" skin to the Hornet Team F/A-18D. To install the skin simply drop in the FA-18D folder and go fly. It can be found under VMFA(AW)-225 in the dropdown menu. Submitter EricJ Submitted 09/30/2019 Category F-18

  11. I wasn't planning on it but I can if you want.
  12. Here you go: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JMUylB1Ur3sBRb2bSRIG9gFITJdI1W-V/view?usp=sharing
  13. No problem man, I'll finish it today and link it here for download.
  14. More work, fixed the VMFA(AW)-225 as well as adding a national roundel. Also nose is of an early version (not sure) but here it is so far:
  15. Getting the nose right, as well as the rest. I used some Hagesawa decals for the VMFA(AW)-225 ends and they turned out okay. Speaking of model kits, the skin is a kit bash if I ever saw one, given I have three references for the same jet and I can only do so much.
  16. Cool! So far I've been using it (thanks daddyairplanes) and it's helped stop me from going in-game from taking time to go through the motions of a mission.
  17. Still like to feature creep because it's a request:
  18. I have that tool and honestly never thought of it really when I started obviously. I may use it though, so we'll see.
  19. I realize it's a bit off but the way that the skin is setup it works like this. I can move the slimers down and see if it looks better but here it is colored.
  20. Fully traced on the tail. The colors won't be too exact, more like that reference photo of it in the air, just as a fair warning even though it has a gradient color scheme applied to it. However, the end of the braid is going to go lower (the whole slimer needs to be moved down as well) so it looks to scale with the part on the tail.
  21. Doing some tracing of the first reference photos. Don't mind the VFA-2 stuff, this is me using a personal skin to adapt to the VMFA(Aw)-225 skin.
