  1. serverandenforcer did some work on the FM as I'm NOT in any way an FM guru, I'm more of a texture artist than just FM stuff. As for performance hit? It could be the two 2048 x 2048 textures for the aircraft as well as other smaller textures as well. You may have to resize them to 1024 x 1024 and see how that goes. But that means it's more like a VRAM issue as opposed to anything else. Or you may want to check or downgrade your Anti-aliasing as well per your card settings. Maybe your Anistropic filtering is a bit high? If so dumb it down a bit and see how that goes. I usually leave it to the application and so far I have really good framerates but doesn't look like shit either as far as for screenshots and the like.
  2. Actually some of my better engagements were during missions, not "scripted" sets that I do for a more focused evaluation.
  3. I think it's just the fact that I like stuff to look good. As the Super Hornet is concerned I like the jet a lot and therefore feel that it was too low poly in my mind. But I run SF2, DCS, and rarely FSX, and Arma 3 with decent (maybe too good) framerates. And my ASUS is two years old and I had guys last year in my clan bitching about low FPS with a certain mission, which amazed me but that's that. Overall I like quality models and that's pretty much it. A lot of my gunwork in Arma 3 is reasonable for the game and yet highly detailed enough to look like that weapon without going overboard and not kill the FPS either. I was talking to a guy and he showed me a gun model that was 350MB(!!!) and he was wondering why it worked. If I remember the SH was like... 20,000? It's been a long time since I knew the figures but overall while there are parts that could use some tweaking and enhancement overall its cool as it is. Ravenclaw's stuff? Man his stuff runs highly detailed (sometimes insanely detailed) but its also not much of a hit on the polys. May want to look at optimizing your card or getting a new one as well.
  4. Okay I've been cornfused... Okay you can't use SF2 tanks in WoX because methinks you want the custom tank images in WoX? It's not going to happen since the game engine doesn't support it and can't be done man.

File Name: Su-25T USAF 74th FS (FT) File Submitter: EricJ File Submitted: 05 January 2015 File Category: SU-25T Skins Su-25T USAF 74th FS, (FT) While the Su-25T as a whole is a very capable combat jet within its own right, the aircraft will never be as capable as the A-10A or A-10C currently. However it does look good in a splash of European 1 and represents a fictional rendition of the aircraft in the 74th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group, the “Flying Tigers”. To install this skin simply cut and paste the folder into the Bazar/Liveries/Su-25T folder and in the Payload Editor, select “USAF 74th FS (FT)” and go fly. And for those with the appropriate mod can use this also for the USA side. Click here to download this file

  7. Okay what you need to do is look at the format for the SF2 tanks and mirror it, name it differently, then edit that aircraft's specific data_ini. and add that name so the game knows to look for that model. Personally I have no clue why you're so hot to use older model versions of the same tank in SF2? I mean the cool thing about the SF2 version is you can do custom tanks with custom insignia and stuff, but it literally is the same model in SF2.
  8. After knocking out some request work managed to tweak the tail a bit: The checker is a bit high but overall I like how this one turned out.
  9. I think you're just not realizing the name you should be looking for: F-18E/F/G 480 Gallon Tank Open the game, and go through the pylons and you should see that name above as the "Name" for the tanks.
  10. That sucks man, I used to use the FLY 5 stick... and the damn thing broke just sitting there, out of two one key broke. Novel concept for the deployed Soldier but seriously the Logitech has never failed me... Nice shots too! And enjoy sitting on that seat man, guess it's a South African thing
  11. Yeah I made a "night" vision system given that SF2 can't model it properly.
  12. Yeah I tried the Mi-8 and can't fly for nothing so I guess it is a patch issue (sucks as it looks fairly cool) and the Huey is marginally better though.
  13. And fairly complete, though I'll probably resize the TAC badges to be slightly bigger and add the checkered tail too:
  14. And the USAF version but the shark mouth isn't as extensive as the other one you can get via the "Aggressor" pack from ED, I chose to keep it more subtle and some decals jacked from the A-10C templates to start rounding out the nose area:

File Name: Su-25T Aggressor 1 File Submitter: EricJ File Submitted: 02 January 2015 File Category: SU-25T Skins This is a fictional skin, of an Su-25T of the 412th AB, 1st Squadron, Eastern MD, 2015. It is completely fictional and based off of the old USAF “European 1” scheme for the A-10A Warthog, before they switched to the two-tone grey scheme currently applied. To install this skin simply cut and paste the folder into the “DCSWorld\Bazar\Liveries\Su-25T” and go fly. In the Payload Editor this one is named “Aggressor No.1” in the Paint Schemes drop down menu. Click here to download this file
  17. Well the reason I despise flying in A3 for fixed-wing is the size of the islands, which is great because while it does take time, can be added without waiting for years of development. And one reason I don't like DCS is man you'll be in your 90s before a real good module comes out. Granted the A-10C is a real good module but overall still... years is what some people just don't have the patience for.

  19. Yeah don't get me wrong the article is cool as hell, but I actually started helo flying around March or so ish around last year and been hooked since. Given though DCS does realistic modelling I think while A3 is making great steps to finally improve the modelling, I just think I'm better off fixed-wing for DCS/A3/SF2 and helo flying for A3. I just don't have the care I guess for the helos, given (with the exception of the Huey) they're all Russian and would appreciate an Apache for DCS or at the minimum a Cobra. I like flying Russian iron but I've done it for over a decade so I need a change
  20. And... that is it for this version, and going to do a USAF version next:
  21. I've taken a dislike to helo flying (maybe because I've done fixed-wing for so long), especially the Mi-8 since it rotates uncontrollably and easy to break. The Black Shark is alright and have yet to fly the Huey but overall I honestly prefer Arma 3 for helo flying compared to DCS.
  22. Any pod is "good" as they're very generic (other than some operating procedures). Since I'm sure you've probably operated the real thing then you're not going to get the same amount of use of it. The pod automatically goes to the nearest target you hit E with (or the main target for your mission). If you want to use a real TGP with any effect simulated go to DCS and get the A-10C module. But here's a small guide I wrote four years ago and not surprisingly still works even with the July 2013 patch: Like real life you need to just practice, and highly recommend getting the Bombing Range map as that way you can practice unmolested if needed.
