  1. I don't know, but you should check the Start Menu for Windows Firewall or Windows Defender as I have Win11 so it'll be different for Win10 where it is.
  2. Ohh.... that could be the issue. There's a topic somewhere (maybe somebody from the community can help), but are you not installing it on the OS hard drive? That could be an issue. I tried finding the article in the Knowledge Base, but after searching couldn't find it.
  3. Personally I'm not sure what the issue is, and frankly since nobody else chimed in, it's a unique issue that nobody knows how to solve. It's not the Options.ini or Version.ini as that's automatically generated (you can try deleting them, and see if that fixes the issue, as it should produce it). Might be the NVIDIAdriver or that Windows Defender is blocking the program. Have you checked that? The Firewall stuff?
  4. I think YAP had some too back in the day, but I'm really not sure actually.
  5. Well it could be the lack of antivirus, but that's speculation. Sorry things didn't' work out for you...
  6. That doesn't exist in the game at all. You can mess with The Range/Red Range and practice weapon delivery, but most of all you have to develop a map to simulate that (I think the Nellis map does it, but if I remember correctly it's A2G) ability in order for it to work, and making a "campaign" might work, but you never know with SF2.
  7. Well you open the NVIDIA control panel by right-clicking on the desktop, and select the NVIDIA control panel, and in the middlish of the screen you'll see the General Settings Tab, and a Program Settings Tab. Click on the Program Settings tab and you'll see a list of programs that it supports. More than likely SF2 isn't supported, so you click on "Add" and select the SF2 Game executable (whichever one you need to use) and then go to 2. Select the preferred graphic processpr for this program." Select the drop down Menu the NVIDIA card. Then you can use the card as it defaults on the integrated driver (Don't use this). Apply at the bottom right and then try it again. As far as Windows Defender you got me, as I use AVG for my antivirus, and don't touch that at all.
  8. It could very well be your antivirus, or lack of it. I mean Win10 doesn't stop you from playing it (I run it on Win11). So either check your Windows Defender settings, and or open the NVIDIA panel and find the game file, and then have NVIDIA use the card, not the integrated graphics to play the game.
  9. I honestly don't know what the issue is, you should just install it and it works. That's all I did with SF2 Complete. Maybe your file is corrupted but I don't know what to say man.
  10. Normal installation, you don't have to do anything special to get it to work.
  11. You have to edit each plane, weapons don't appear unless you add the entries in the plane's data.ini
  12. Yeah SF2 changed a lot of things up for the game and how the files are handled. You can still use the weapon editor for SF2, as for some things I do need it, but overall I just drop and play, and so on.
  13. I think you should let it install in Program (x86) as I did and no issues. That may be the issue that's causing the problem. So uninstall and reinstall and let it default and see if that fixes it.
  14. Agreed DA, all I've seen on A-6s were bombs and Bullpups, and whatever else they cleared, but never a gun pod.
  15. Yeah as OlWilly mentioned above you have to do the weapon editor procedure for SF1. SF2 you can still use it, but you can modify the _data.ini somewhat without the Editor to get what you want without having to open the Weapon Editor and saving and all that.
  16. Just put the folders in the Weapons folder in Objects, it's literally drop and use.
  17. They've done a lot for what the game is that's for sure, all of them at one point in time or another.
  18. DCS is coming out with an Afghanistan map (It's on pre-order) so that's about it. Without TK working on the title we're at where we're at right now, which is what modders can eek out of the game. Unfortunately, it's not much but they're finding new things to toy with and so on, but for the most part it's not being worked on (I'm just guessing since TK has moved to a more profitable mobile gaming). It's besting a dead horse by complaining about his lack of updates and so on. It's unfortunately trying to get the most out of a 2008 game.
  19. The fact of the issue is that there isn't much out there really, so you'll only get so much traction with this post. Unfortunately, the terrain system isn't as detailed and I like to fly in mountain ranges low level too. But this isn't DCS, and not a good sim to do it. Go fly DCS if you want that.
  20. Me too. I already have one already, but a new version would be nice
  21. Agreed, but I'm afraid that it won't be mountainy enough
