  1. Trust me man, it's one of those jobs where you just walk the fine line sometimes, and it's hard, maybe for me in light of recent events, to not cross it, but once you do... Game on and then you're dodging your other Moderators, or whoever, and sometimes you gotta be defanged but that's something else. Matter of fact I still have Moderator nightmares from the Ubi forums. I just don't go back there man, there's nothing more for me there. EDIT: Well I stopped back there and still have Moderator status, so I guess I'm still "active" though I figured Xinterface would have let me go.. oh well.. And the bad thing is, I'm in the training environment (well okay, this is my last week!!!!), and I see the same crap here online, that I see with the Privates. There's no escape, but Friday there will be! But the point is we get the same stuff, gimme gimme gimme. Sure there are somethings I can't do, but there somethings I can, and I try and stay within those limits. And if I can't help modelling or texture-wise (last one hypothetically), then hell I can always take the time to find ref photos, whatever.
  2. Ahh okay, I saw her in "Leisure Hive" so that's why I was interested. To be honest with you I think Tamm looked better, but that's me. Anyways, it's all good, as I've only looked at some of the extra material on the DVDs, given that I'm starting a collection...
  3. As was discussed in the LO forums, it doesn't matter if it's got rotors or a hybrid, if it fails you're still screwed... I'd done two combat landings in a freakin C-130, so I'd rather fly that than do one of those again!
  4. about time somebody recognizes np man
  5. And on a side note, the FM for this is nice Marcfighter, very smooth
  6. Oh yeah, about the pylons... given what's seen operationally you think you can make the pylons so we can have an asymetric layouts just on the wings, to include the Sidewinder stations?
  7. Who was it? Mary Tamm or the other one?
  8. I hope they improve it, the UK version was killing me, that's why I deleted it.
  9. http://562.50megs.com/WOE/Tutorials/GWU.zip That should help...
  10. Ahh okay, I'll give it a go then. I inputted the SLDry and SLWet and ended up almost ending up in the drink by putting in the real values. But thanks!
  11. View File VF-31 Tomcatters CAG With special thanks to Vampyre for his photos, this probably would've have been different Readme included. Submitter EricJ Submitted 04/15/2007 Category F-14 Tomcat Skins

  13. lol I was going to go there, but nah...
  14. Well if that's not a recommendation, then I don't know any different! Will get it uploaded soonest!
  15. lol can't wait to fly this one....
  16. SLThrustDry=49819.84 That should be the trick. I modded my crappy SH to get a little more oomph (didn't seem right either) and just adjusted the values a bit, just to get what should be a reasonable speed.
  17. http://www.zap16.com/mil%20fact/f-14.htm Here's a nice one I just found..
  18. Right, the national insignia is a stock one but I'll fix it. And I got the numbers issue fixed.
  19. That was a good one man, thanks!
  20. This should be it: Just have to fix the decals and it should be good to go unless?
  21. Well marcfighter, I had always believed so, but after reading what Sag posted, apparently not, well in regards to the "virtual speedbrake" Which honestly now that it's brought up, I guess not For some reason I always liked/not liked Carlo Kopps stuff. Great articles, but I guess his F-111 stuff always left me with a stuck up advisor taste, but he knows what he's talking about. But regardless, thanks for the article Sag Which brought up maneuverability. Compared to column5's Bug and what I have currently, there's a marked difference. I can speak in relative flight sim terms, as it's like flying the LOMAC Su-33, as the weights are nearly the same (If my mind serves me right, only a few thousand kilograms). But once you get it moving, it handles great. Then again some people equate the Su-33 to flying a pig, but I never have had such issues, except of course, loaded to the gills But in SF/WOE/WOV terms, don't expect to pull off maneuvers currently that you can do with the Hornet. Unfortunately I don't have any real world experience to base off of, but if LOMAC is a benchmark, then I'll say maybe the one I got isn't correct in whole. Weights are right, along with from other sources on the web. I would say the Tomcat is more refined due to the setup, and the Tomcat has a higher thrust to weight ratio compared to the Rhino, I left my wingie behind, and I just cruised along.. Overall it's great for it's intended role but not too sure in the close combat arena, due to the weight of the Rhino, or just how the one I have is currently setup. I feel honestly the FM should be better, but still not too sure. Realize I'm talking about the one I currently have, not marcfighters, as I don't have it either, so just so nobody gets confused.
  22. I think I remember that book, but any Bone driver would be loony to try and mix it up with even a Piper Cub with an R-60 on each wing. But if the claims for the -120D are true, then it'd be a little better.
