A FIESTA OF LATIN UH-1H HUEYS This will be the first in a series of uploads for the venerable and widely used UH-1H Huey. Included in this pack are examples from Latin America . They include Argentina , Bolivia, Brazil , Chile , Columbia, Domincan Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Uraguay, and finally Venezuela. I have tried to be as accurate as possible in my representations here, however, serial numbers etc in some cases WILL be speculative , I was going to include more civilian police versions, however most of them are all in pretty much the same colour schemes of the couple I have included, so I didn't bother, and I expect that most people dont actually fly civilian marked aircraft in SF 2 , of course in the Latin countries the Police and the military do, in a lot of cases fly joint missions. But anyway, I hope you enjoy the offerings I have brought to your respective tables !!! Included in the file are all the bits and bobs you need to make this bird fly, sound, weapons, crew decals etc. So there should be no difficiulties involved installing and flying Credit to Yakolev79 for his original model !! As always ENJOY !!!- 3 comments

View File A-1H VNAF Trâu nước điên VNAF A-1 Skyraiders Also known as "The Crazy Water Buffalo" Hi Rez skins To be used on the stock 3W SF2 A-1H Skyraiders My next set and final set for the A-1H/J Skyraiders, is the one I just KNOW you have been waiting for in breathles anticipation !! Oh you giddy young things !! Yes these are the VNAF versions of the Skyraider. The contents are as follows :- 83 SOG 514 FS 516 FS 518 FS The 514 skins are just a rework of KULBIT80's skin and decal set, I have just updated the skins , the other 3 Squadrons are all new decal sets, and reworked skins, 514's skins are overall grey, 516 & 518 are pretty much standard USAF 3 tone over grey schemes with the usual over the top Vietnamese markings, SOOOOO TACTICAL !! The lack of tail markings on the 516th airframes is correct they just didnt 'ave 'em so there !! I have done the 518th skins as slightly earlier ones so I could do the snazzy white super tactical and camo friendly cowling bands, I have put anti glare panels on these skins even though in reality they didnt have them, but I thought the looked a bit odd like that so anti glare are us deal with it !! harharharhar finally the 83 SOG scheme.....I mean WOW...Really !! hyper tactical or what !! they do look we snazzy though eh chaps !! these aircraft carried no national markings except for the fin flashes, I know the reasons elude me too . Anyhow as with the previous skins I have done everything is all inclusive AT NO EXTRA CHARGE mind you !! All the usual shout outs to all and sundry, youre all groovy froods and you rock !! Now what are you waiting for, get into your Spad and go kick some Commie bottom !!! and of course, as always ENJOY !!! Submitter trotski00 Submitted 05/24/2019 Category A-1 -
a-1 skyraiders skins A-1H VNAF
Trotski replied to Trotski's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Yeah I suppose, I personally dont bother with it, as not all aircraft were fitted with them, and some were , I thought it was more to do with the squadrons in theatre so to give correct squadrons for the year in question.....like I said I dont bother with the vanilla/67 versions -

Trotski replied to Trotski's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Following this procedure you will end up with another A-1H which is purely Vietnamese Air Force , I hope this explains what to do , sorry I am totally crap at explaining stuff , if you are still stuck message me and I will walk you through how to get it up and running . -
a-1 skyraiders skins A-1H VNAF
Trotski replied to Trotski's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
the distinction of the 67 version etc. is not an issue , there is to the best of my knowledge zero difference between an A-1H and and A-1H 67 why TK did this I fail to really understand , anyhow . So to install just drop the whole file into your saved game file , so sounds go in the sound file, and objects go in the objects file , you will then need to copy the pertinent files from the existing A-1H ( the one already in your save game ie the one that is vanilla with the game ) so the Cockpit.ini, the Avionics.ini loadout, userlist , and the all important A-1H. ini, which you will need to rename to A-1H VNAF.ini this will then allow your new Spad to be flown as a VNAF spad , and will show on your aircraft selection screen as A-1H VNAF so you end up with a similar file structure to this :- rename the first .INI in the above list to to A-1H VNAF.INI [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=A-1H Skyraider <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< CHANGE THIS TO A-1H (VNAF) Skyraider AircraftShortName=A-1H AvionicsDataFilename=A-1H_AVIONICS.INI CockpitDataFile=A-1H_COCKPIT.INI AircraftDataFile=A-1H_DATA.INI LoadoutFile=A-1H_LOADOUT.INI UserList=A-1H_USERLIST.INI HangarScreen=A-1H_HANGAR.JPG LoadingScreen=A-1H_LOADING.JPG LoadoutImage=A-1H_LOADOUT.JPG AvionicsDLL=Avionics60.dll -

DESERT STORM MOD FOR SF2?
Trotski replied to JamesWilson's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Theoretically yes, however getting at least the NA dlc is recommended, however as I said you cannot go far wrong with buying all the expansions, Vietnam, israel, and Europe , then getting all the DLC packs as some add on aircraft are actually dependant on the DLC aircraft, to enable them to work, I have the whole lot myself, and it is a worthwhile buy, even if the Sim is getting on in years . I appreciate not everyone can afford the whole shooting match in one fell swoop, however I would advise buying them all, slowly if that is your only financial option. Go to the Thirdwire site and check if the complete edition is still on sale, worth the money if it is, I would also recommend FE 2 as well also a superb simulation for early aircraft , and well supported by mods on this here site !!- 10 replies

DESERT STORM MOD FOR SF2?
Trotski replied to JamesWilson's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
NA expansion is a must have really mate, then again all the add on packs are if you can afford the whole kit and kaboodle, including all the DLC aircraft from the Third Wire site , mot sure if the complete edition is still on sale , but if it is and you can afford it, it is worth a buy !! I dont remember which aircraft are included in the DS mod , however you can find third party modded aircraft and ground equipment in the downloads section of the site here- 10 replies

Question on SF2 Complete Edition

Works fine on Win 10 , dont hold yer breath on TK pulling his finger out of his bum to release the Win 10 version anytime soon -
Two questions - answer only if you really mean it
Trotski replied to gterl's topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2
I do still play FE 2 , though not lately as I am having a break from FE/SF for a little while. Yes I use Edwards Flanders , and most definitely I would use an upgraded terrain as and when it becomes available -
Ok cool !! I wasn't aware , so I am most happy to be corrected
-
These diagrams are a little off aren't they ? if you look at the videos I posted, the outer 3/4 if the tailplane is pivoted, on the outer portion and acts as the elevator to the best of my knowledge the aircraft didn't have this sort of "conventional" elevator arrangement, it was more akin to an all flying tail, and the whole assembly was one continuous structure with no cutouts . Of course I may be wrong and they did utilise this arrangement on later models of the aircraft, however I would be surprised if they did do so , please do correct me if I am in error, as it is all a learning curve, and knowledge is happily accepted , as is me being told I am wrong, one learns through ones errors after all !!

I likewise do not use the rifleman, it was merely a suggestion for a possible outcome, I use your Taube for pleasure flying lpersonally lol
-
The RFC and French did fly a few 2 seater variants as well, so if you do mange to do a 2 seater, then we could use Stephens rifleman mod for his Taube .

Sorry about the previous vid, the bloody commentator had verbal gob poops !! Also that Bleriot is I think a replica, however it displays a different tail profile to the one you are thinking about, maybe it was just the early XI's that had the small rudder/stabiliser ? Anyhow heres another vid of the Shuttleworth Collection Bleriot, which is original, and is the oldest airworth aircraft in the world, although they dont actually fly it per se, rather they do a short hop down the runway, which is understandable really considering its historical significance. Also there are some nice views of the Anzani engine as well at the start of the vid. As a little treat I found this replica Taube as well, I know its unrelated to the topic at hand, however.....................
