  1. FE2 Updates

F12 dont not work, I have experimented with it, and its a non starter, unfortunatley FE is not as "developed" as SF, which is a crying shame, as it is crying out for much love and attention, if they both worked off the same engine, then they could be combined, however, TK in his short sighted wisdom, has abandoned FE snd SF which is a travesty. I totally get where you are coming from with the F12 issue too, as it would be well cool if it had that option.
  2. New Faces for First Eagles 2

    NICE !!!
  3. Wish List - again!

The only "Celebrity" Pilot he did was that of Bruno Statchel. Or at least the only one I am aware of.
  4. Wish List - again!

Yes that sweet little Macchi is often overlooked !!
  5. Wish List - again!

I already posted a similar one a few months back, but here is my contribution............ 1. Sopwith Pup early and late versions. 2. An all new SVA . 3. Brisfit, I think everyone wants...no, needs this. 4. Roland Walfisch. 5. Bristol Scouts. 6. FE2's 7, Avro 504's all marks. I know a lot of these are available from A-Team, but most people dont have that access unfortunately.
  6. Yeah, its a sad fact tthat there are few FE modellers, and now Geezer has unfortunately gone AWOL, the talent pool is severely limited when it comes to giving FE some much needed love.
  7. First Eagles, ( and post WWI) really really needs a non DAT Bristol Fighter, has any one ( and this is where I am sort of aiming it at Stephen ) got any plans, to make an all new F2B, as the DAT one, although sort of ok, isn't the best, or rather, not as good as it COULD be. a couple of versions would be nice to see, with the early engine modelled, as well as the later, and post war versions. This is a very important aircraft for the period, and is one not available to a lot of pilots, due to the Capun rules and regulations. Oh...yeah.....we NEED a Sopwith Pup too !! I unfortunately have no idea or skills when it comes to modelling the aircraft, so as with everyone else, I am reliant on you magicians of the model design mob, to please please please, make these 2 very important and relevant aircraft.
  8. FE2 loadout issue

    Aint we all brother !!!
  9. FE2 loadout issue

Hi there can anyone point me at a possible solution to this problem. I have 2 installs of FE2 one which is vanilla standard, and the other is using the Desert/Palestine maps, on the weapons loadouts for CAS work perfectly well in vanilla FE, however, not on the Palestine install, all other loadouts work just fine though ie. Strike, and armed recon, however whenever CAS is inserted anywhere, it refuses to auto equip the appropriate loadouts for a CAS mission. Does anybody have a clue as to why this may be occurring at all ? the loadout files are identical for both Vanilla, and for the Palestine installs, aand as I say, if I specify an armed recon mission, it will install the correct weapons load, but not for CAS, this is bugging the hell out of me, so any assistance will be much appreciated.
  10. FE2 loadout issue

I posted it here on purpose to get a wider audience so to speak
  11. It is a possibility, they have ties with China and N korea, as well as the likes of Libya and Syria, however, although a reasonably wealthy country, they are a little limited on their manufacturing and industrial capabilities, unlike SAAD which is a more industrialised country, with their own aircraft industry, Zafir has only a light industrial capability, they do have an arms and munitions industry, but heavy industry is really a far reach for them. As I said to Daddy, I am not really a big fan of including Nuclear weapons. However a Scud or more likely Silkworm capability is definitely on the cards, having those weapon systems would certainly cause some headaches in the area !!!
  12. I repeat it is a "What if" situation, and although I tend to agree with your statement about keeping it "historical" that surely is the point of making a "what if" scenario, the beauty of it is that it is pure conjecture and semi fantasy, it isn't supposed to be a 100% duplicate of the real world, I personally do not like the whole nuclear scenario in the work we are doing, however, Eagle wants it there, and its his brain child, I am just his own personal Devils Advocate. Also, to be fair, as I previously stated, the whole story is still in it's formative stages, and thus open to change, however, a little suspension of belief should be applied to any scenario, as it is a made up story in the first place, and as such, I see no reason why, for the sake of the story that is, that such a thing is not possible. From my perspective though, I would rather not have any Nuclear involvement, unless it was a sort of Quasi "Cuban Crisis " type of thing, but this remains to be seen. The fact remains this is a "Mirror" universe, and an alternative timeline, which whilst following the general flow of the historical period, is not actual fact, and therefore anything is possible. At the end of the day there are at least 4 countries in this whole storyline that do not actually exist in the first place, and those countries will exist in geographical areas that are actually "historically" real world countries, so, are then suggesting that those new countries cannot exist, as it isn't historical ? If so, we may as well bin the whole idea, and just play with the bog standard simulation.
  13. I need to jump in and point out, that although DaddyAirplane's comment, and query, is, in the real world, a valid one, however, this is also a "what if" scenario, so some artistic license has been applied to the story. Therefore a little suspension of belief maybe required. Also this scenario is still in its formative stages, and Eagle and myself are at the moment a two man band. As we have both been working on this project, ( and it is a labour of love ) we have between us, discussed the general outline of where the story is going, so no doubt, by the time we finish this gargantuan task, I expect there will be a myriad of changes, adaptions, and unusual stuff. My hat is off to Eagle, as he has done all the brain work, putting this story together, I have been his voice of conscience sitting on his left shoulder, and reining in some of his more "enthusiastic" ideas, I am really happy working with him, as he is a bright, and clever individual, and he is always open to suggestions, and open discussion ( Even though I think sometimes he mis understands my sense of humour) We are far far away from completing this project, I am working away at the First Eagles stuff, so there is still some speculation on which bits of kit will be used post WWI, and also what aircraft may be built under license in SAAD, however, for the most part, I think we are in agreement about which aircraft is used by whom. The real work starts when we come to the terrains, ( we are using Palestine for First Eagles) and the actual campaigns. So please do not be over critical, and bear in mind that this IS a "wot if " kind of deal, with 3 or 4 totally new nations, plus Paran and Dhimar all thrown into a giant pot and cooked to perfection !! Watch this space, its gonna be a blast !!!
  14. I watched this today on Forgotten Weapons, Ian has come up with a blinder today.
  15. Ok cool, I look forward to seeing the full release.
  16. Beautiful ! Will you be doing better 'pits for the G91 and the Y ?
  17. I love the fact that there are Girls/Ladies, who love flight sims, and get stuck in with modding, I wish more gals would join in, as it is great when they do. As with the modelling community, there are some superb scale moddelers who are Female, and I love to see it. Keep up the great work !!!
  18. Today is the official 80th anniversary of the formation of the RAF Regiment, formed as a Corps within the RAF by Royal Charter this day in 1942, Proud to have served in the Regiment, and proud of the heritage and traditions of my beloved Corps. PER ARDUA.
  19. Looks quite nice as an alternative, I like the Throttle quadrant, it looks very neat and tidy.
  20. Sorry for my negative comments guys, they were made tongue in cheek, a sort of throwing stones into a fishing hole sort of deal, I do not like the aircraft, this is true, so I am merely making fun of it, no offence or annoyance ( well maybe a little) intended.
  21. Time will tell that its crap, should have gone with the Boeing abortion instead, they admitted it was rubbish right from the word go hahahahaha. Sorry, cant help myself, I shall never like the damn thing. but hey ho I wont ever have to fly one so screw it, lets waste our millions of tax spondoolies on it.
  22. It's an F35, who cares, fly a proper aeroplane..........one that works and looks prettier....sorry, couldn't resist.
  23. WOTR Training suggestion

I tend to agree, as, even though I have flown very little in WOTR up to now ( a trend that SHALL change) it would seem to me that the more complex engine and airscrew management involved, in flying a WWII era aircraft, is quite an involved process. It causes me to have even more admiration, for the young pilots, who, not only had to faff around with pitch, trim, and radiator setting, whilst keeping their heads on the swivel, avoiding being blown out of the sky, and hopefully actually manging to shoot down someone who has no desire to be shot down. how guys who only had 10 hours or less solo in Spitfires or Hurricanes, managed to survive is beyond me. The Germans had a bit of an advantage, as they had been in combat in a lot of cases in Spain, and later Poland and France, so were more experienced. But still, the same applies to the young men of the Luftwaffe as well, flying cover for bombers, with a very limited time over England, must have been rather hairy to say the least.
  24. WOTR Training suggestion

I must apologise as well as I had misread the title of your post, and I for some reason thought it was actually to do with WOFF/BH&H rather than WOTR, so my bad, however, I still stand behind the statements I made here anyway.
