You flew straight, you assumed it wasn't for you, and you pushed forward on the stick, for the most part aircraft don't like being pushed down. Pull, role, break turn into missle. Never fly straight and level for more than 15 seconds in the combat area. You have chaff and flares use them, before you input to the stick. Get out of afterburner if you can. Your not a bad sim pilot you just need practice. Later be safe.

Just saying we would be taking a step backwards with what we have now and whats in the works. Spend more money on 1 jet to do the job of 10. You make good points w/all those other aircraft, but that was different time. We were still young in the air like everyone else. We were borrowing a lot of stuff from the Brits and old GE scientists. If we were still like that we would have been flying Tornados, and now EF-2000s instead we are " pretty much" a very independant nation when it comes to our war planes now. I am sure these days both aircraft enginers share info to some extent. If it was 1988 and not 2008 I would say yeah we could use some of that fancy "COBRA" stuff, but not now. If we want to make money we can sell whats in the desert still very capable stuff F-4s,F-16A+Cs, F-18As. They may not be Su-27 family and up capable but, still good old work hoarses and we could do simple upgrades to extend the life, systems. Spend a mil or 2 on each plane to make 10,15 mill. I was being sarcastic with my anology.

How bout we build them sell them to all the "bad AXIS of EVIL" countries, but put a self destruct chip in them. So if they ever decid to act up against a nation other than self defense we send the code to the chip to destroy the onboard systems such as engines, computers radar all the expensive stuff. We wouldnt use it if it ever happaned.

What about just going into the aircraft DATA folder and trying another naiton instead of FRANCE like UK,NATO,JAPAN, ETC which ever has the closest to what your loking for.

Australia did not have a carrier I am sure the HMAS Melbourne was moth balled w/to much rust. I'll bet not all you know that the RAN was to get some Harriers and a carrier from UK, but that deal was squashed when the Faulklands Conflict started. Australia wanted to purchase Invincable, but was offered Hermes it was the oldest in the fleet and they would have been back in the same hole in the water inwhich to throw more money. The nunber of Harriers I do not know the planes would either be AV-8B or Sea Harriers. That would be a cool fictional skin for somone to take on.

A US carrier w/British crew members probably for their F-4 and Buccs it was only 4 years since they got rid of their conventional carriers. We were playing the hands tied behind our back on this one asking them to talk it out.

Also try pause the game till u find the contrail unpause and follow w/you hat switch. be sure you got a good look at it cause the contrail is very visable as it is first launched then it disapates. I use the above method also.

I don't understand such the huge deviation from the origonal story line. I can understand some things to freshin up the plot, but I think they went overboard. The first half I thought was great. The second half I started to loose intrest. Oh well Big fan of the Origonal movie and the book. I read years ago, I think I"ll have to break it out and blow the dust off and read it again.

The first part, assign a target then when the target is hit call the wingman back to formation, then assign another target. The second part, this game is funny because I have that same prob, but sometimes the AI wingman will hit the target.
