Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else was getting this problem and if they are could they try this fix? I was doing a low-level SEAD mission and came across a SA-10 Battery with FlapLid which I shot at with my HARM. However it flew over the top of the FlapLid, as did the 2nd HARM. I replayed the mission several times with the same outcome so I dug deeper and found that the FlapLid_data.ini has the height of the radar set to 8m but the truck only 2m high so when the HARM flew through the radar at 8m there was nothing for it to hit. The problem isn't so bad when firing HARMS etc at high altitudes as the HARM dives down on the radar so is more likely to get close enough to hit the truck. I changed the Radar height to 3m and the Truck with the Dish upright to 4m (more realistic height looking at pics for the FlapLid) and everything works as it should. Here's the data.ini for you to try if you're getting the same issue. You haven't "cut-through" the Alpha Channel layer. When you add the Alpha Channel you need to paste the decal into the Alpha layer, then delete (use eraser) over the decal. This cuts-through the Alpha Channel to show the decla below. Here's a quick 7Mb AVI of me doing a decal for you to watch. It may not be the best way but only takes about 90 secs per decal. http://www.ianhenshall.com/sf2/decal.avi ***EDIT*** - If your Stars are on different layers for my way to work all the stars must be grouped into a Smart Object so that there is only 2 layers - The background and your complete decal.

Hmm, thats strange, all I did was rename the 2 skin from DDS to BMP??? - Here's a free Hex Editor - http://www.handshake.de/user/chmaas/delphi/download/xvi32.zip - Although when 1st used it looks terrifying it's very easy to use. The skin names are usually right at the bottom (but not always) on the Right side of the screen for 99% of models. Are you using this Alpha Jet - http://combatace.com/files/file/11825-sf2-dornier-alphajet-a/ as that is what I used for the new LOD?

Loving the Canberra! The desert scheme really suits it (and it's how I remember them) -
Cheers Svetlin - This is just my luck but I'd already tried Florians IDS and while the fins are perfect the front half of the tank is very wrong. If I could have the back half of Florians and the front half of the Sf1 tank I'd be a happy man! For the time being I'll just stick with the Sf1 tank I think. Thanks for the help anyway!

Hi there, I'm trying to remove the stock tanks from Sundowners Tornado so I can add different stuff to the pylon (ARM's etc) but I'm having no luck. If I remove the FuelTankNodeName it stays. If I change the FuelTankName the original tank still stays along with the new tank. I've removed it from the Loadout and the in-game loadout shows it's empty but it still shows up when flying as part of the model but it isn't "seen" by the game (can't be jettisoned etc). Any Idea's folks? View File Update for Tornado GR1/GR4 by Dave/Sundowner V3.2 (GR4 Decals) READ ME ---------- This'll be my last update for the Tornado Pack V3.0 by Dave and Sundowner available here - url]http://combatace.com/files/file/12320-tornado-gr1gr4-for-sf2/[/url] as I can't think of anything else I can change/fix. This bulk of this update is the missing GR4 decal folder which has now been added to the mod. Each Sqn now has it's own individual A/C numbers & year dependant Fleet codes (GR4_98 is 2 letters, GR4_06 is 3 numbers) and I've included 2 special "Anniversary" decals for 12Sqn and 617Sqn. These are placed on 1 Aircraft from each Sqn only. The 617sqn 60th Anniversary Decals can be found on ZA370 in the GR4_98 only. The 12Sqn 90th Anniversary Decals can be found on ZD650 in the GR4_06 only. I've also changed both the 12Sqn and 617Sqn GR4_06 skins (12Sqn had GR1 nose marking and 617Sqn has a different tail tip marking). One point to note is that 617Sqn are the only Sqn in the RAF to retain there WW2 style "Fleet Codes" which is why theirs look different to all the others. I've also tweaked the mirrors for all the GR1 variants as the "nose" wasn't showing allowing you to see through the model into the undercarriage etc. One issue I found with that is that the image in the mirrors is set as though the cockpit is actually higher than it it is (like the mirrors are about 2ft above the cockpit). I'll be having a play to see whether it's fixable without breaking the current cockpit view but I consider it a minor issue. Lastly I've changed the Storm Shadow jet exhaust effect from 2d to 3d for a better look (Thanks Fubar512 for the help) Installation ------------------ Unzip then simply copy and paste into your Mod folder (usually C:\Users\YOUR NAME\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 etc) and allow it to over-write. Tested on a Nov '11 patched Full Merged and SF2:Europe Only. Thanks --------- I've never done any Decals before so the folks here who helped out in the many "Help" threads I started really made this possible - DTMDragon, Spinners & Wrench ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Submitter ianh755 Submitted 02/18/2012 Category Tornado

That is quite possibly the craziest thing I've seen in this thread - I love it! -
Just a quick question - is there an easier way of placing the decals? I'm currently doing a rough guesstimate of the .ini by eye then checking in game, adjusting the .ini, back in game etc for 50+ times until the decal looks like it's in the right place. When you times that by 4 decals it's a lot of time!
