Next TK flight sim?
pcpilot replied to Luiz Carlos's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Interesting article about TK, thanks sparko. Despite some quirks in these sims I have always found myself coming back to them for a quick shot of action. Ive always liked the aircraft and cockpit graphics. Be interesting to see what area TK focuses on for his next sim since the aircraft for that era are probably already out in one of his other sims. I think Falklands would be nice. Since carrier ops and most of the period aircraft are available, itd be cool to see his take on a English carrier and harrier and VTOL. He'd be improving ships and water in his sims at the same time. Its bound to be exciting. Or perhaps switch from the allied perspective in his sims to the opfor view, say, a flight combat sim covering a hotspot in africa flying the old MiGs and Sukhois. -
Russo, sounds like some good pike fishing! I keep hearing about the 30lber in the river around here but aint seen him...yet. Fubar, if there is a fishing boy scout, you have got to be it. Man, talk about being prepared! In style even...LOL! Persoanlly, I like my 14 foot aluminum boat with 10 horse, a couple rod holders, and Im not talkin about my feet, a couple beers, a dozen worms, a sunny day, my fishin partner; ie, the wife, and my day is well spent.

Trippy B-52 video Mike. Makes me wonder if you have something in the pipeline again...Glad to see you back. Love the scooters. Im lookin for a basket case myself to restore. When I was in th3 service back in the 70's and 80's, cafe racers were very popular with the fellas as a cheap, fast, cool ride.

Wow, 66 views and no replies... Made it to Gunny II, but been having a problem with BSOD, crashing and re-booting. WinXP error reporting seems to indicate a device driver problem, but have the latest drivers for my Biostar 690G Mobo, Nvidia 8600gt and audigy 2 ZS. So not sure whats up. Ive even disabled sound so maybe its video or mobo somehow. Sure is annoying to be into round 3, getting extra points, one of the leaders in frags, and all of a sudden freeze, BUZZZZZ, bluescreen...reboot...

Been playin with it when I can these last couple days. Found a good server running 1.4 as I havent got the latest patch yet. Been all free for all. Im up to Corporal II now. Already won a couple matches, nailed 3rd in a few more, and have been having a genuine blast. I understand that CA has a server now, anyone tell me the ip? Do I need the 1.5 patch and punkbuster enabled? Never liked invasive software so havent instaled PB yet.

Ok, since I am now a proud owner of this anti-stress, waykewl, little gem of code, I guess I'll add my two cents...my favorite right now is the SAW, camo'd with reddot, a .45, and a load of flashbangs. Love spottin someone walk into a building, come in behind, heave in a flashbang, watch them kinda drool and stagger just before I hose them with lead...gotta love it!

What does it mean?
pcpilot replied to Mannie's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Thanks Fastcargo for the link, very interesting. I wondered what some of these codes were myself. -

Happy Birthday Dave! If ya gotta be weak with cake and ice cream at least make it ultra rich chocolate... :yu:

19 years...wow! Each aircraft is an individual model hand done; must be the full complement of some 90 odd aircraft! I used to model as a kid but nothin like that, lol.

Hi Fellas, Thanks for the replies; they make sense and I figured as much. Not sure what to do for our situation. To shell out dough for a wireless system, espesially one of the newer ones seems dubious when I prefer the hardwired setup, for security as well as speed. The problem as I mentioned is no phone line in the room to setup easily. Soooo, might have to go wireless anyway....ack! Anyway, my problem. Thanks again for the naswers...

Wife and I just moved into a new condo and the builders didnt leave us a phone jack in the spare room/office, so I cant do my usual hardwire network in the same room as the computers and which is nearly lag free, espesially with LAN games. I have an netgear WGR614 v6 wireless router that is 802.11g compatable. I can set this up in the front room where there is a phone connection to take advantage of our dsl. This is a 54mb router. My question is, how good of a connection is this type of wireless setup for gaming online? Or via LAN? Will there be much lag?

The plane trys to straighten for the landing when the wind blows the right wing up, causes the left wingtip to hit the ground, and blows the whole plane to the side of the runway, where no doubt the pilots are applying every bit of throttle they can to get her airborne again...WHOOOOWEEEE!!! No THATS exciting!!! Glad I wasnt on that bird...

:lmaosmiley: Actually Dave, I gotta admit that supper sounds darn good, always like oriental of any sort, Thai is an old favorite. Just havta avoid the cats, monkeys, and eels... My wife and I had a real nice meatloaf with taters, corn, salad, and some home made brownies for desert.

I read his story, then was looking at the pictures when I came across the one of the honor guard holding his medal...it sent a chill down my spine.

Wife and I watch this show too, an old favorite. Have the first 4 seasons on dvd. Favorite character was always Maj. Winchester; an ass that could show a human side too.

From the readme... This is the "Improved" skin for the Koni fast frigate model for Strike Fighters made by Capun and Mikewhl. This is a semi-historical skin using some of the common Soviet naval colors and lettering. While its name is correct, its number is fictitious as I have been unable to ascertain with certainty the Soviet number for the Delphin. Ive also added weather deck paint, ships' boats are now painted, the main deck is colored like soviet ships, window glass is added, as are the forward weather break for the gun and the windlasses, and a red waterline added.
