Ive been thinking about getting started on that mainscreen you wanted featuring VA-15 Valions. Ive found very few usable pictures though on the net. I was wondering if you happen to have any good scanned pics from your days onboard the Indy. See, not only did I want the Valions tail logo, but the Indys' name on the bird too if possible. The few pics I got of Valion birds show other CV names. If not, I can take a screen shot of the A-7 in SFP1 with the Valions skin on to use, but its not the Indy name on her. I have some other ideas too. But they may not fully feature the plane as much as the squadron logo.

When it seemed I was resonably safe, I went to an outside view just to take a look at the bird 30 feet off the deck. It was totally awesome in burner. Speed of sounds around 730 MPH at sea level isnt it? Now we just need a good sonic boom like Lomac has. Love watchin the plane doin hi speed passes in LO just to hear the BOOM, lol. Zag, Mudd, Its not easy making those decisions, I know. I had to make it concerning my mother before she passed. I still wonder sometimes if I did the right thing. But then I think how I would have felt if the situation had been reversed. When the decision is between prolonging suffering and finally ending it, I knew in my heart what needed to be done. It didnt make it any easier though. Funny thing was, after the decision was made, I was reading the Bible to her as she slipped slowly away, I looked down and my eye caught a verse that seemed to stand out. It was Psalms 116:15..."Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." I was like God was standing there next to me, some low-life ant, and pointing this verse out. From that moment on, I knew that what happening was right and that I would see her again one day. She passed away Feb.2nd, 1998.

Its not considered appropriate to expose oneself in public here. At least, it didnt use to be... It never ceases to amaze me how hollywood whores and their johns continue to shove their "morality" and values down our throats and we lap it up. If this is the kind of thing you want your children to see, then enjoy. I know what its like to step over the line and pay the price. I still cry when I think of Karen or look at her picture still on my bookcase, or when I look at my shaking hand everytime I lift a glass. Everything in life is a fine balance and its not always easy to see where to draw the line. The Greeks have a saying I learned over there, a very simple and honest one that cuts thru the BS, "Nothing in excess". You have to consider what world you want to live in. If its whores, porn, alcohol, and drugs then tell me, what do you think your life will be like in short order? I know... If its family, consideration and courtesy, quiet pride, courage, and values like our grandparents had, what would your life be like then. I would rather die than go back to what I was. It cost me too much and hurts still 15 years later. So no, I try not to judge, as one who has been there. But now, I want to live life like God intended. To be at peace and put these damned demons from me. I want to smell the grass, and laugh with a wife, and live in a world where hate is only a memory. Im not one to stand on a street curb and curse and yell at the gays marching by in a parade. If I was an employer and a gay man stood in front of me qualified for an job, I would hire him. He would also be welcome in my home as a guest. But that doesnt mean I approve of their behavior, nature itself speaks against it. He would be required to behave in an appropriate manner at work and in my home. I certainly wont condone that so-called "lifestyle", I draw the line. In the same fashion here I speak my mind and draw a line. This was wrong and unacceptable to me. If my daughter or son had seen that, I would have been ashamed and thrown the TV out the door and refused to let Hollywood and TV land values anymore in my house. I may yet, its not on much anymore anyway. An old saying...if a man wont stand for something, he'll fall for anything. Where do you REALLY stand? Think about it. We dont need to enact more laws that diminish our freedom and take away our choices as freemen. Each man needs to be a man and stand for whats right and try to live it too. One of my favorites, got the video. Never realized I like "blues" till I listened to their music. Went out and bought the soundtrack. Loved the scene where Ray Charles puts a round into the wall next to the kids' hand that was stealing the guitar. Great stuff. Going under that tram or whatever it was, when they showed the speedometer, they hit 120. Loved that part...then they make it to town hall, pull up on the sidewalk...and the car...well, I wont say, hehe. :D "I'll have a chicken." "With two peices of white toast." "...and a coke." "Man, do you beleive these honkies?!!?"

All I have right now is the original main screen running in the game. I want to change it or make a all together new one. But where can I find the original? Where do I put the one I make when its done?

As promised, the 1.01 patch will not be the first and last Lock On patch, and Eagle working hard on the 1.02 patch. The reports that Eagle has sent me have been very encouraging and great progress has been made on many important matters. However, we have yet to get a patch build to test, so I cannot verify what has and has not been fixed. Once we do though, I will post a list of 1.02 items fixed to date. I want to avoid listing something as fixed until I and the test teams can verify. At the current pace, I estimate that the 1.02 patch will be ready in a matter of weeks rather than months. I have the main screen template somewhere. Navychief wanted a main screen with the VA-15 Valions on it. I looked in the game folders and cant find the original main screen. It must be buried in some cat file somewhere but which one? Also, does this screen get done in 1024X768 res same as the hangar screens? Thank you...

Ive been curious about the B-17 too but havent heard anything. If I do, Ill post it. The trick to the P-51 is only use a half tank of gas. The center tank, behind the seat, throws the center of gravity off. Also, it isnt really a dogfighter. The Jap planes and the FW will cream you if you try to dogfight. Havent tried it against any soviet planes but I'd expect the LA and Migs to out turn the P-51.

When you said gunfight, I thought you were talkin westerns. Go see "Open Range". Nice to see Hollywood can still put out a real good western. The movie was outstanding and the gunfight at the end was downright inspirational, lol. When Costner fans his shooter and mows 'em down, I actually let out a YEEHAW!
