The range of a Harpoon is about 60 NM. If you want to lock onto a target that is very far away, just use F7 to cycle through ground object views and use Target Closest to Center of View to select it.

My controller ran out of battery before my F-14 could take-off from the runway rendering Chaff, Map, some visual targeting, Manual flight and weapons controls impossible to use. But I was able to complete a CAP mission with just using Auto Pilot and wingman commands to kill 6 Mig-29s. When the last 2 remaining Migs tried to bug out, I used Auto-Pilot and Waypoints to turn my aircraft to their direction while flying through Secondary Mirage-2000 Targets and then pushed the throttle to chase down the Migs for about 40 NM through a field of SAMs and finally ordered my wingman to kill Mig #5 and then Mig #6 and back through the field of SAMs to return home

are you sure the Radar is in Miles and not in KM? But Base never seems to get distance correct, someone could be 100+ NM out and says they're 50 Miles out

I like flying solo anyways, they always give away my position, never seem to know they have an ECM, randomly refuse to attack targets when told ("One, Negative") and just overall get in the way during Recon missions and dogfights

No, they were huge man-made structures. It would be ok if it were a giant object instead of terrain, but you can't even be damaged by objects if you try to hit them

I've heard the tapes on the Radio and the nurse who committed suicide only talked to the DJ for 6 seconds, he last words? They were "Yes?" and "Yes Ma'am", that's it. The nurse who gave out the information was a totally different nurse. The nurse who committed suicide didn't even release any info she just transferred the call to a 2nd nurse. The true criminals here are the Dead nurse's colleagues for constant teasing and belittlement towards her at work way before the call even took place, They were a**holes to her, and somehow slip by without repercussions or notice. But it still confuses me why she would commit suicide when she wasn't the one who made the mistake. Could be just a coincidence that she chose that same week to kill herself and now her kids' lives are ruined; and now the DJs' lives because the media trying to be judge, jury and executioner before they even get their facts straight. Anyways, I think this is getting attention only because of Royal Fanatics in the newsrooms are being butthurt and the fact that these two countries don't seem to like each other that much, if this was just a random UK citizen that was pranked you wouldn't have heard a peep on world news or maybe even the local UK news. Did you guys over in the UK hear about the Fort Hood shooting on the news 24/7? A man who killed people on purpose? Something that never started as harmless in the first place? I still don't fully understand how ECM pods work, and I don't know if they work properly as they would in real llife. I wish the weapons had descriptions and stats built into the menus. Do They ever run out of power?

is it just me or does flying solo without my idiot wingmen into a SAM field with ECM decrease the dangers of SAM lock-ons? I flew over enemy territory with my B-1B and not a single sound came from my RWR
