  1. You a follower of Occam's methods are you? Anyway I did not mean to comment r putdown your detailed historical research. I mean, if I had enemy gathering at the TACAN of the airport I fly for I would be really confused, scared and wondering what I am doing here But I guess this was Vietnam reality and what made that war so peculiar. Thanks for the historical research, that goes in the memory of those who left life and suffered there

  3. Your missions are amazing historically; I have two questions -The challenge level is low; there is no opposition. I added for personal Fun some AAA to the sites defined in targets data. I guess your choice is historically correct, they where counter guerrila operations versus hidden sneaky enemy. AAA must have been up north -Again no dounts about you historical research, but how in the hell, those blackvirgin areas, by bienhoa,, THAT close to saigon,,infested by enemies, what a cluterf*** that war must have been; really enemy at your dorrstep, and at the end of your runway Your missions are amazing historically; I have two questions -The challenge level is low; there is no opposition. 4.

  7. no non ricordi molto bene. Poca roba. Ho visto Cloverfield.
  8. I see your standards are pretty high; and I guess you have stewartesses undressing you all of the time, ..lucky you
  10. So basically in my example, the britsquad, reaches Dover , but from there CAN'T reach Calis simply because the entry strategicnode003, relative to Calis, is not applicable to units in Dover, right? the only entry applicable would be therefore this one [strategicNode011] Area=Port of Dover ConnectTo[001].Target=London Raffinery Purfleet ConnectTo[001].BasePoint=765000.00000,657000.000000 ConnectTo[002].Target=Port of Ramsgate ConnectTo[002].BasePoint=883000,642000 ConnectTo[003].Target=Hastings Railwaystation ConnectTo[003].BasePoint=793000,593000 Which obvioully leads to places just in UK And don't be sorry for me not understanding. You are clear, it is just my little brain Anyway thanks for all the info, they are very precious
  11. Edited and deleted: My mistake; I thought it was funny, but it just depicts bad professionalism in aviation

HABEMUS PAPAM Finalmente. Come abbiamo fatto senza fin'ora? :clapping: mah
  13. [GroundUnit017] GroundObjectType=BritSquad UnitName=19th Battalion (City of London) Home Guard ForceID=1 Nation=RAF StartDate=08/08/1940 BaseArea=London Raffinery Purfleet RandomChance=100 StartObjects=540 MaxObjects=1000 Experience=20 Morale=90 Supply=15 UpgradeType=NEVER [strategicNode010] Area=Port of Ramsgate ConnectTo[001].Target=London Raffinery Purfleet ConnectTo[001].BasePoint=765000.00000,657000.000000 ConnectTo[002].Target=Port of Dover ConnectTo[002].BasePoint=872000,620000 [strategicNode003] Area=Port of Calais ConnectTo[001].Target=Paris Orly Airport ConnectTo[001].BasePoint=995000,335000 ConnectTo[002].Target=Port of Dover ConnectTo[002].BasePoint=884000,623000 I know I am a pain in the ass. But I really might need those info for a campaign. Quesion: what stops the britsquad to reach dover and then paris orly, via calais?
  14. finally; I can be one of the "geeky ones" for the occasion
  15. So they will move frm connect 1, then 2 and the numeric progression states the direction of the move, I mean they can't move back.
  16. Incredably intersting and historically correct. Can I abuse of your patience and ask you about , for instance, this entry? [strategicNode006] Area=Port of Le Havre ConnectTo[001].Target=Paris Orly Airport ConnectTo[001].BasePoint=995000,335000 ConnectTo[002].Target=Port of Brighton ConnectTo[002].BasePoint=718000,580000 ConnectTo[003].Target=Port of Cherbourg ConnectTo[003].BasePoint=527846,439536 Orly is EAST of Le havre, while Brighton and cherbourg are East of le havre., so what does the area= mean?
  18. Thanks for answering, and not just for your skills but for your kindess Yes I did and it is fun indeed. I sort of knew that about tempest and typhoon, and should you need help and testing with Channel Front consider me available. I just like the Tempest and typhoon, they remind me of early time A-10 and Su-25 I checked your data file and figured out what you wrote and explained, I just was curious as there was anything more. Your job in timing targeting and air offensives is very intersting and worth of text-book approach. I have yet to understand how they run in one only direction. I have to study.. I saw that interdictions and ground offensive start at 3 for luftwaffe, thoguh, is there a reason? but you delayed the ground unts by their date,, very intersting. Also what do you mean by "and allow them to build up from very low strengths to something approaching (but well short of) operational capability. "? I read your entire thread and thought downloading the campaing was a good recognition to your efforts; I like doing campaing too, and broke my head over the anti-shipping missions if you rememeber. ( Iam ATRdriver on 3rdwire forum) Thank you!
  20. Yes and that idea works I experimented with that; it works provided that all ships are modded with air defence radars, and all cruise missiles are changed as aRMs. On the other hand the system will generate only 2airplanes sead flights So gone is the idea of large soviet bombers formations. Plus a sead flight is generated only supporting a strike. My idea was that strike could be a "recon", with unarmed planes, such as placeholders bears. But again the main attack would be the "sead" 2 planes-only. Really not realistic. It sounds complicated, and it is. and for little results. All what can be achieved as antiship is what I done in out fo africa 1.5 with campaign generated antiship missions whch are issued only to player flight, and antiship against convoy stations which are issued to the AI flights as well, but they won't use guided missiles. It works, in the smaller scale campaign of "out of africa", but is nt applicable to giuk situations On the other hand the idea of blinders attacking the nrorht of england is nice, recreating some chapters of redstorm rising and could also come with "anti-sub" missions and Sub attacking cargo convoys. This is an idea I have in mind, and I posted about it elsewhere, but I got frustated at the moment with this..
  21. Baltika thanks for the campaign. I don't know what I was thinking and so far I had avoided WWII installs. Anyway I had to resize ALL the skins. Who thought that 12 mb worth of skin for Me-109 was agood idea? well not for my ppor rig for sure.. sigh. anyway it works much better now. A german sound pack would be great too.. Anyway , few questions Was there a role for tempest and tyhponn in BOB? and..is it valid to throw the uberai mod in the bob campaing And most important; can you share more about this phased campaing concept of yours? I am really intrested. How do you time the air offenisve with ground operations? how does the player know if he is moved to next phase campaing, and does he at all? thanks for the campaing and for all the knowledge you might feel like sharing
  22. Because AI-flights, non player controlled, don't release guided weapons. So you would have formations of soviet bombers not launching missiles at naval fleets. Big Air-sea operations can be organzied in campaign, I have more than one study of feasibilty done, but this "limitation" (not a bug, my god) stopped me from experimenting further. And eurogroundwar in germany has been done in many flavours. More intersting something along the line of cauldron, that raises the problem of FriendlyVSFriendly, if I recall there are germany and france VS UK and USA. The FriendlyVSfriendly can be overcomed relatively easily, but still we have the guided weapons AI problem, and there is no mirage2000 and rafale, so what is the point
