Having problem with TMF F-14 superpack radar
MigBuster replied to Eagle114th's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
If this is using avionicsF14A.dll then expect it needs SF2NA installed - do you have that? -
"or the media is extrapolating wildly — and giving people the entirely wrong impression" Pretty much says it all - see it a lot of it in the media - you hope they are just clueless - but suspect their agenda is to subvert people into reading their crap.

http://www.bbc.co.uk...d-asia-21930280 China 'buys fighter jets and submarines from Russia' China has agreed to buy 24 fighter jets and four submarines from Russia, Chinese state media report. It is reported to be the first time in a decade that China has made a large-scale military purchase from Russia. Two of the submarines will be built in Russia and two in China. The deal, signed just before last weekend's visit to Moscow by the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, comes as both sides increase military co-operation. Correspondents say Moscow and Beijing are trying to counterbalance what they see as American military dominance. China is buying 24 Su-35 fighters and four Lada-class submarines, reported the Communist Party organ the People's Daily and China Central Television (CCTV). -
Ha - yep they hack into the hard wires in the ground though to manipulate the ILS from what I remember - whereas in the airliner case you would be talking more Battlestar Galactica where they shut the vipers down over a wireless interface. Because computing is so flipping complicated things can be overlooked and protocols can never be tested properly within time/cost constraints - therefore there is always the possibility of some smartass finding ways to do it - but as I said if you give any external access leading back to the control system you are asking for it!
-
Its likely the control systems in these jets are not designed with security in mind - however its accessing the systems that would surely be the problem for any hackers. It would be pretty stupid to give any kind of external access to any networked systems that give control of the jet - those systems should be isolated - and physically protected on the Jet.

1979 vid on the F-16/F-17/Viggen/Mirage F-1 sales proposals to Europe Entertaining just to see them trying to get round the "Not To Exceed price" - and overall the makers were very skeptical of the F-16

fixed that for you Yep great that all the weak around her let her cast an economy based on virtual money - as we wallow in a never ending recession..........still cant blame her for deciding to lend all the virtual money to people who were going to virtually pay it all back.

Iran-Iraq war
MigBuster replied to Centurion-1's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Well if you want to talk agility (the ability to change from one state to another quickest) then its not the F-14A. Although it has a small turn radius at slow speed (due to its almost straight wings ) its roll rate is painfully slow for the same reason.
