Here are some common treetypes in europe: Beech up to 40 m (120ft) Oak 20-40m (60-120ft) Maple 20-30m (60-90ft) Since i can't measure the height ingame i dunno which one you find oversized nor have i an idea how to change the seaon height. I must admit i never noticed it.

The terrain tod files are in the main GermanyCE folder. The season folders contains the .jpg and .tga files only.

Wonder how the tree size could be different ? The trees are part of the terrain tile. And the tile doesn't change. It's just the .tga that will be replaced if you select a different season. Maybe Stary can tell more...

Wie, haste jetzt endlich nen neuen Rechner?

Falls sich jemand wundern sollte, das ich nix neues schreibe, bin im Moment arbeitsmäßig wieder stark eingebunden und komm zu nix. Die Zeiten wo ich krankgeschrieben war und stundenlang modden konnte sind im Moment vorbei.

Hm, wenn ich mich recht erinnere braucht das desert4 doch das originale desert aus SF2. Ich habe aber nur europe und nordatlantik.

Hans, Wonder what happened if you fly with your Mirage over more ground object target areas like Hamburg or Leuna Werke? What you also can do is open the target.ini and disable the entries you find at the Bremerhaven target areas. What happened if you rename the seasons folder in the terrain folder? Guess you should be able to fly over a black untextured terrain but never tested it.

Hans, Thx for the file. Well i have no plans to add more airfields to the terrain yet. I don't want to increase the number of people having problems playing this mod because of to much stuff on it. And for everyone running into CTDs please post your PC specs too. I still think that the problems is RAM or graphic RAM related. Post your OS version too please. If possible post a screenshot of the area. But i have to mention that the current CTDs doesn't have anything in common object related. And the terrainengine.dll fault message sounds too generic for me to make any sense but i must admit that i'm far of beeing a SF guru. So my help to fix any of your problems is very limited if i can't reproduce the problem on my system.

So wie ich das jetzt sehe, sind wir mit dem Mod hart an der Grenze zu dem, was mit der Engine im Moment machbar ist. Die Abstürze beim Spielen einiger User deuten meiner Meinung nach darauf hin, das es bei denjenigen passiert, die vielleicht nicht so einen leistungsstarken Rechner haben. Eine andere Erklärung habe ich da im Moment nicht. Evtl. Nutzt sogar noch der eine oder andere WinXP mit seiner mangelaften Speicherverwaltung. Also kommen von meiner Seite her keine neuen Flugplätze auf die Map. Eric, der wohl das Nato Mod mitgemacht hat, will die später einfügen, wenn wir hier fertig sind. Das kann er dann auch tun, aber das ist dann sein Mod und nicht meiner. Florian, dich bitte ich drum für die anderen Fliegerhorste soviel Objekte wie möglich von den bisherigen Horsten zu benutzen und mit Neuen sparsam zu sein. Bei Texturen kann man auch erstmal sehen, was da schon alles im Terrainordner liegt, bevor Neue hinzukommen. Neue Targets kommen von mir auch nicht hinzu. Ich werde noch an den DDR Basen weiterarbeiten um von den Standartairfield layouts wegzukommen. Was ich vermeiden möchte, ist ein "Elite" Mod , der nur bei einem Teil der Spieler läuft, bei denen mit den fetten Rechnern.

Hm, did you ever used Starys hires terrain tiles before? I havn't made any changes to the trees.

Fubar, Are all trees that big or on a specific tile only? They look normal on my terrain. Did you make a clean install of the mod?

Sorry there won't be copies of Büchel on the map. Owner restrictions. About the CTDs. There are about 300 downloads so far and a handfull guys with CTDs. Well i don't think that there is a bug on the map. The posted CTDs spreads to widely and don't have anything in common. There is only one thing that came into my mind when reading about the troubles and that is RAM or graphic RAM limits. But i guess that we are currently scratching the edge of what is possible with the SF engine on todays computers. I need to rethink carefully about the next update steps. Maybe the engine is not capable of what we dreaming about.

Is the Mirage the only plane you have problems with or any others too?

Fixed now. Sorry for confusion. Yep, the Thirdwire memorial minute at 80% is normal. Guess because of the ammount of targets/textures that needs to be loaded. About a crash. Sorry i have no idea. There isn't something special in the area. Could it be that you ran out of graphic memory? If it works fine with stock aircrafts but you have trouble using the Mirage you might check what ammount of texture memory is used by the addon aircraft.

Might be an error on my end while uploading the file. You only need to dl one file. They are exactly the same.

Ich hab mir vor ner Zeit mal eine NAS gekauft, darauf mache ich jeden Abend mein Backup mit ner kleinen Software namens Sync2folders. 2 klicks und die neuen und geänderten Daten aus meinem Germany CE Ordner werden kopiert. Für meine Musik habe ich sogar noch eine weitere USB Festplatte und für wirklich wichtige Sachen wie Fotos hab ich noch zusätzlich 100GB Webspace, falls die Bude mal abfackelt. Du solltest wirklivh in einen neuen Rechner investieren, du weißt ja nicht, was die HD zerstort hat. Kann am Alter der HD liegen, kann aber auch eine Spannungsspitze vom Netzteil oder Mainboard gewesen sein.
