Air field eye candy
Stary replied to Veltro2k's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
dude I build stuff myself... -
guy go watch Gravity, it did whole science part of being in space pretty good, these are SW movies, known among other things like little incest for their established and beloved depiction of space battles
-
Craig we do know she is handy using kind of rod weapon prior so there might be some skills -plus influence of Force on her of course has to do something with it together with her extraordinary MF flying skills. Other than that because movie magic
-
Yup he's finished his first step on way to darkness. Killing own father, pretty dark for kids movie, aye?
-
Craig sword is a sword, you point the sharp point at the enemy. I was really happy to see the return of more classic lightsaber fights -the jumpy "unrealistic" ons from prequels were getting boring fast. I think the beginning of the movie was one of the best SW universe scenes I have seen, with the assault on the primitive settlement, FN-2187's repulsion to the New Order's brutality, sudden discovery that Stormtroopers do fear, suffer and bleed, genial dialogue between Poe and Ren (ok who talks first? I talk? you talk?) that establish the former as a new series' Solo for me, and introduction of Rey character. The scene in which she marks another done day on the wall, when we see her living in a hulk of AT-AT, those are some of defining Star Wars moments for me What bugs me with the plot is the ohh well this thing is bigger, lets go kill the oscillator and destroy planet sheme as RedLetterMedia's guys pointed out in their review -would be nice change to say have the Rebels (rebels agains what exactly? Senate? New Order that seems to compose of dunno, one planetary weapon, one Star Destroyer and some TIE squadrons?) disable the weapon and render it inoperable for months or few years, not end up straight murdering snowy planet OR maybe even better having the heroes fail in this installment. But overally the heroes don't come off unscratched with you know who dead and Finn comatosed? badly injured for sure. As it's the spoilers corner -I was pretty sure it's Han from about 2/5th of the runtime but when he fell I was preparing myself for emotional Chewie's revenge suicidal moment of sacrifice. The thing I would NOT stand would be Luke showing up in that forest anyway are we sure Ren made it?

check your closed for one angry tentacled space monster :D

as Dave joyfully removed my post :D I'll say that the battles taking place in atmosphere are really really well made

no, I think not this bug, other one -
Hello guys, Raven's gunsight topic reminded me I have these sitting on my hdd. As these cockpits are somewhat in "beta" status I decided to upload them here, for evaluation / propheads testing purposes. Please be aware these cockpits are old, going back to early 2009 when I did P-36 one but then never finished it, the next ones followed based on that cockpit, somehow they feel "off" but I can't put my finger on it I upload them so you can fiddle with the positions, maybe find solutions as to why not everything is working correctly etc. In short I decided it's time to get rid of them release them here in forum as they are P-36: P-40B: Tomahawk IIb (AVG): get them here: Hawk family COCKPITS.zip

my odd early jets wishlist
Stary replied to Stary's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Everybody's good buddies means DAT? Yes but those are old and have some issues in SF2. As for Sabre H I have the max file of what is basically ready beta, must check it out one day. Heck I think it's posted in the modders depository for everyone with modder status to grab? Same with my new MiG-9 but it needs more work -

I'm having ideas for some ETO limited conflicts so more UK ADA vs Warsaw Pact. some can be stand ins using similar airframes tbh. re: Ouragan and Super Mysteré cockpits: on my list after the Thunderjets/Thunderstreaks and some Yaks And my ideas don't have that whole NATO baloney in there -
some WW2 / Korea aircraft ini and fx tests
Stary posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
ok, these in various forms I have been testing for a while now both in my Korea and just recently PTO installs: aircraft ini fx test.zip >>BACKUP every single file you are about to replace<< there are some adjustments to AIRCRAFTAIDATA.INI AIRCRAFTOBJECT.INI BULLETOBJECT.INI with stock values left after slashes for comparision quick summary on what's generally there or what i wanted to ahieve (those two things don't really go together lol) -Bullets travel further before disappearing (old feat I've been using since I discovered the MinBulletMach value) -thanks to that enemy might open fire from greater ranges -gunners are set to fire less and less acurately (please verify) so I don't get 5-10 fps on quite a good system flying through formation of 10 bombers (!!!) -fires can be suppressed more easily on their own and have less of a chance of progressing, -planes have less chance of exploding mid-air from fires or well placed shots -shoot off pieces from planes fall longer/are visible longer; create sound effect and burning fire when hitting ground -you generally have to do more gun damage to shot down aircraft (in theory, as the guns are way overpowered in SF2 as we know) -head shake and effects of g forces and plane movement are more prominent etc (requires LOTS of tweaking!) -FE-style gun unjamming is enabled but requires additional key in options I think -some crude test tweaks to AI ranges, fire durations and such together with new smaller tracers, new tracers smoke, >new< engine damage effect that wasn't used by default, and new flak effect. my goal is to start some kind of "test thread" here that would allow us to find the best playability vs realism settings to enhance the WW2 and postwar experience as I am really not going into modern (or post mid-60s) stuff anymore ohh and juuust in case I stroke out or fall under a train here's dump of my current WW2/Korea-oriented WIP effects folder I use, some more bombey explodey boomey smoky eye candies in there, you'd better back up before using this one: Effects.zip though those require tons of cleanup and work and inclusion of some sweet stock fx graphics I recently purchased for my commercial work -
