This is simple addition of two more seasons (fall, winter) for my Formosa visual update mod. Created as simple 4-seasons tileset test for other project, I decided to upload it for everyone wanting to have "full seasons" tileset for this excellent map. Or to use it in other, more appropriate (climate wise) theatres. "Formosa Strait Taiwanhaixia" map was created by Gepard. Remember there are great fixes by Wrench, The. Apply these To install simply extract this package and move the files from the Formosa folder to your choosen Strike Fighters 2 MOD folder/terrains/Formosa folder, overwrite when asked. As this is just simple tiles pack, should work with Series1 too, but I don't have any installed at the moment to confirm. And sorry for not releasing it in DDS format, it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks
  2. is it really only me dreaming about having stock 3D ejecting pilots and chutes in the sky? After all the years...
  3. no, but it needs few GB of free space during installation process (unpacking and patching CAT files I guess) I can't estimate how much really the pack takes after installation but less than 2 GB I think
  4. And so many new nations to select too...
  5. Gr.Viper, awesome posts are awesome it's time to finally leave good old Skyhawk office
  6. or maybe even -stretching things a little bit -for Super Etendard with ini movements and all the tricks And turning Hunter pits into earlier MiGs maybe..?
  7. Soo... guess it's time for some Expansion Pack 2 test shots: I think lighting was further improved... or perhaps it's just me not running the sim in long time?
  8. Henrik, here's Lightning F.1 pit, have yet to test other models edit: I'm currently trying various settings for .TOD objects materials settings, together with enabling/disabling relative shaders in terrain data.ini, but no luck so far
  9. Amazing images

Seen this one in full res, in National Geographic photo of the year contest: more amazing photos in the link http://www.boston.com/bigpicture/2010/11/national_geographics_photograp.html?ref=nf
  10. TK wrote on Facebook hotfix will be available soon...
  11. Hmmm... There's thread by Kevin on Thirdwire forum, many report the same issues, together with freezing Exp1 executable (bye, War Of Independence install) And BTW, you guys too had disk space requirement of over 6 gigabytes during install? I think it was due to various CAT files repacking/patching process?
  12. As I was away for waaay too long time, I think something within my install is messed up (all merged with Exp1); anyway I really can't see the new campaign in the selection screen..? And I can confirm, no .TOD objects at all. Checked with my GermanyCE repaint and on Formosa map

(Experimental) Thunderstorm weather mod for SF2 series by Thirdwire series 1 compatibility fix included made in and tested with merged SF2+Expansion Pack1 may 2010 by Stary 21.05.2010 -------------------------------------- This little modification replaces default rain effect with heavy thunder. Random lightnings, heavy rain, distant clouds lighted by electrical discarges and raindrops on screen are modelled. Unfortunately, no thunder/rain sound attached, as current environment engine seems not to allow to do so. -------------------------------------- Thanks to USAFMTL for betatesting. -------------------------------------- file edit: updated with readme, sorry!
  14. damn! rest in peace!
  15. it's known bug, reported to TK at least several times, I don't think TK's going to fix it thou...
  16. I think it was Max188 or Brain32 who first started uloading 8bit bmp tiles. It's good for series 1 only, for series 2 there is DDS format, that is under tests for Mig Alley mod. And I don't see much difference between 24 and 8 bit tiles (edit: waiting for Jules to jump on this part ) I think it's even better for planes skins. For batch color depth reduction I recommend free IrfanView. And yes, it's good solution for people with older hardware
  17. it's [AlphaObjectMateria] setting in Germanyce_data.ini, try these settings: [AlphaObjectTextureMaterial] EffectShaderName=terAlphaObject.fx DepthBufferCheck=TRUE DepthBufferWrite=FALSE RenderedInOrder=TRUE AlphaTestEnabled=TRUE CullMode=NO_CULL LightEnabled=TRUE SpecularEnabled=FALSE EmissiveEnabled=FALSE FogEnabled=TRUE AmbientColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 DiffuseColor=1.000000,1.000000,1.000000,1.000000 ZBufferOffset=2.000000 BlendOp=BLEND_SRC_ALPHA NumTextureStages=1 TextureStage[01].TextureName= TextureStage[01].MipMap=TRUE TextureStage[01].FilterEnabled=TRUE TextureStage[01].StageColorOp=TEXTURE_MODULATE_DIFFUSE TextureStage[01].StageAlphaOp=TEXTURE_BLEND_TEXTURE_ALPHA
  18. I think I did slight changes to maximum bullet speeds (speed below which single bullet is no longer calculated and removed from the sim) in bulletobject.ini and some effects references in missileobjects.ini (for nukes explosions to show)
  19. Deus Ex:Human Revolution trailer

Well said Von Paulus Loved the first one, never really got deeply into second, lost that dark hardcore feel. But I liked the Project:Snowblind, an spin-off shooter set in the same realm
  20. me to, but I'd take this little one without question
