  1. OA-4M UpdatePack for SF2

    Version 1.0

    300 downloads

*** SF2+SF2I+V required for the KfirC1_77-Cockpit and optional A-4F_74-Cockpit, that is used here together with bits from the A-7E-Cockpit. Tested in full 5-merged installation *** This pack contains an update to the previously released OA-4M-Pack by Wrench. All skins and decals are newly done for this pack. Included are the following "new" planes and Skins: * OA-4M Skyhawk (2-Tone Gray Camo) - Initial Camo with large insignias and white modex. - H&MS-12, MCAS Iwakuni '81-'83 - H&MS-13, MCAS Yuma, '79-'83 - H&MS-32, MCAS Cherry Point, '79-'83 * OA-4M Skyhawk (GhostGray Camo) - 2nd Camo-Scheme, differently arranged with small insignias and lowvis modex. - H&MS-11, MCAS El Toro, '88-'90 - H&MS-12, MCAS Iwakuni 1986 (Yosemite Sam on Tail) - H&MS-12, MCAS Iwakuni 1989 (Yosemite Sam on Tail, Samurai on Aft Fuselage) - H&MS-13, MCAS Yuma, '83-'88 - H&MS-32, MCAS Cherry Point, '83-'90 * OA-4M Skyhawk (Overall Gray Camo) - There were probably just 2 planes with that camo 154306/DA01 and an unknown 2nd one. Gray overall with black markings. - MAG-32, MCAS Cherry Point, '89-'90 * OA-4M Skyhawk (Blue/Green Camo) - Experimental Camo on 154306/DA01. Dark green / dark blue with white bottom and black markings. - H&MS-32, MCAS Cherry Point, 1983 * OA-4M Skyhawk (Green/Gray Camo) - Experimental Camo on 154628/DA04. Green / gray with gray bottom and inverse markings. - H&MS-32, MCAS Cherry Point, 1985 Planespecific skins for the droptanks are provided (stock A-4 tanks), aswell as a new skin for the stock Mk.20 Rockeye II CBU. Optional: As there's no dedicated OA-4M-Cockpit available, the Pack contains 2 options here: * KfirC1_77 cockpit by default, from dtmdragons A-4M-pack as stand-in. It "feels" better than the big and roomy A-7-Cockpit from the original OA-4M-pack. I also made refinements over dtmdragons version to bring it more towards a modern Skyhawk-Cockpit. Landing Gear-, Arrestor Hook Lever and Rudder pedals are working now, I rearranged and reskinned the weaponspanel, to get rid of the hebrew stencils and Kfirs additional weaponsstations and I removed some instruments, that are useless here (Nozzle- and Shockcone Position). * A-4F_74 cockpit, which is slightly modified by me. It now has a HUD and the Radarscreen is used for the ARBS. Although it was not actually installed in real planes, it is added for playability. Also the HUD is rather small, but works. Included are Hangar- and Loadingscreens in 1920x1080 by default and 1024x768 as option. Just open the planes ini-files and you see what you have to change. There's a readme included. Feel free to read it! :) Installation ============ 1. unzip to a temporary folder 2. open "Put_Content_In_Your_Mod folder" and do as you were told, if asked to overwrite, say 'yes' :P 3. enjoy! Credits ======= - Thirdwire and TK for a great game, models and the cockpit-parts I used. - Wrench, Fracture, triplethr3at and pappychksix - original OA-4M Pack, Updates and of course the TA-4 Model - Nengajyou, daddyairplanes and Wrench - Yosemite Sam issue and Samurai logo - RAVEN - LAU-129 missile-rail - dtmdragon - Kfir-Cockpit-mod from his A-4M-pack and testing - Eole2 - testing, loadout.tga and optional A-4F cockpit-idea - Alejandro - Escapac seat - FastCargo - FakePilot - ???? - antenna/bent probe/avionics blister kit - ???? - avionics hump - ???? - J52- and damaged Engine-Sounds - Rudder-Pedals ini-statements taken from bobrocks AV-8Bplus - myself - skins, decals, loading- and hangarscreens, cockpit-changes, ini-work. P.S. ==== If you have any problems with this skin or have suggestions and hints, feel free to PM me.
  2. Sorry for reviving that old thread, but my question is somewhat related I guess. I have separated a weapons station in a bomb-only-part (StationID=1, Group=1) and a missile-only-part (StationID=2, Group=1) and my cockpit has "ARM"-lights for each station. My problem now is, that I have to use 1 "ARM"-light for both separated stations (as both still refer to the same pylon). I tried it with no luck. Is there anything I missed or that I can do about it? Cockpit is a stock one, so not available for 3D-work.
  3. A little update on this one. I tried to create some simple objects in the meantime in Blender and failed 2 times. I was already about to give up, but this week I started a 3rd and last try and it seems to me, that it could work this time. My Testobject is a simple Pylon with a Missile Rail attached to it, according to Blender it should have the right measurements, orientation and scale for all axis, has a material applied and I managed to UV-map this thing. So I guess next step is finding a willing person with MAX, that has a bit of patience with me and can help me converting that thing to a SF2-usable form. If someone wants to give it a try, please PM me! Attached is a picture of my "creation".
  4. TA-4Js of VC-8 in two flavours. This unit flew the last operational Scooters in US service in 2003. I also played a bit with the cockpit (for the first time, so don't expect any wonders :P), Gear- and Hook-lever are working now and I managed to remove and to switch instruments. So I'll call it a day :)
  5. That looks impressive. Good work! :)
  6. "What If" A-4Ms would have been upgraded around 1990 and still in active service. A-4T "DesertHawk", US Marines, 1992 Inspired by dtmdragons A-4K Kahu II and HMH-466 helicopters during Desert Storm. ;)
  7. What Other Games Are You Playing?

I'm not that much playing for some time now, but Elite: Dangerous (Single player), Skyrim and some Diablo 3.
  8. Happy Birthday Wrench

    Happy Birthday!
  9. and if not as transport, maybe as a bomber? :)
  10. Those Harriers look great! :)
  11. Details of the Bombbay - Page 19 and 21 have some drawings. http://forum.largescaleplanes.com/index.php?showtopic=21808&page=19
  12. It's a model, but maybe useful. http://www.largescaleplanes.com/articles/article.php?aid=2246 Manual for Ju-88A-1, maybe useful too. http://www.deutscheluftwaffe.de/archiv/Dokumente/ABC/j/Ju%2088/Ju%2088%20A-1%20Betriebsanleitung%201940.pdf
  13. Aggressors! After playing around with them, I really like gun-only fights! I even won this time ;)
  14. I guess you're playing the stock vietnam campaign? A quick look in the campaigns .ini showed, that your unit seems to only get a new camo at the beginning of 1966 (S.E.A. camo, before it was silver) and a different version of the F100D around 1968.
  15. I can't believe no one has ever done it before. :) Don't expect to much here. I've never worked with 3d-modelling software before, so it's mostly trial and error. My focus is on small fakepilot-objects of course, as everything else would be far to much. First try is nothing to get excited about it - a LAU-118 Shrike/HARM-Launchrail, but that seems doable to me. Thanks for the links, that will definitely help! And grats to 500 posts! :)
  16. Thats the way I'm going atm...obviously it is the way you have to go here. Thanks anyway.
  17. incredible, as always, a big thanks to you! I finally solved a mystery with your great tool...placing a decal on the inside of the skyhawk flaps.
  18. A little break from all the scooters...Just found Wrench's KAW Shooting Stars with ErikGens superb F-80C and played around with it a bit. F-80C from 16th FIS, Korea 1950
  19. I did a little test and this is what I found out and seem to work. I post only relevant parts of the inis. nation.ini ======= [Nation214] Name=USAF Aggressors <-- that name is used in all relevant INIs DisplayName=USAF Aggressors <-- change to whatever you need Alignment=ENEMY ... squadronlist.ini ============= [squadron655] Name=57th ATG <-- that name is used in all relevant INIs DisplayName=57th ATG "Flogger" <-- change to whatever you need Nation=USAF Aggressors <aircraft>_data.ini =============== [MissionData] NationName=USAF Aggressors ... texture.ini in aircrafts skinfolder ========================= [TextureSet] Name=VA-126 - Red 23, 1983 <-- change to whatever you need Nation=USAF Aggressors Squadron=57th ATG ... decals.ini in aircrafts skinfolder ========================= //DO_NOT_DELETE-->USED_FOR_LOADOUT_SCREEN-->NationsMenu [Decal001] MeshName=Rudder DecalLevel=0 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=A-4E_Aggressors\empty <-- change to whatever you need Position=0.0,0.0 Scale=0.0 DecalMaxLOD=1 //DO_NOT_DELETE-->USED_FOR_LOADOUT_SCREEN-->UnitsMenu [Decal002] MeshName=Rudder DecalLevel=1 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=A-4E_Aggressors\empty <-- change to whatever you need Position=-0.0,0.0 Scale=0.0 DecalMaxLOD=1 //DO_NOT_DELETE-->USED_FOR_LOADOUT_SCREEN-->NumbersMenu [Decal003] MeshName=RightWing DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=A-4E_Aggressors\empty <-- change to whatever you need Position=-0.0,0.0 Scale=0.0 DecalMaxLOD=1 You need at least one decal for level 0, 1 and 2 for each menu to show. It works even if the decal doesn't exist, you just have to have it in the INI. I recommend placing these decals on different meshes, as they seem to count towards the maximum decal per mesh. Hope that helps! Rene/Nyghtfall Edit: Added a screenshot.
  20. SF2 Vietnam (although modded) - most campaigns I played were in Vietnam....I really like the challenge to fight my way through tons of aaa and sams and then drop some bombs on a target the old way (no ccip or other helpers). And I like the colorful jets planes of that time.
