  1. Austrian Gotha G.IV

This is a rendering of Gotha G.IV's used by Austria-Hungary.

The colors might not be 100% accurate. But it looks good to me.

Thanks to Capun1950 and the Skunkworks A-Team for the original G.IV model and the permission to repost my skin work.

You can find the Gotha G.IV model at: http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/

  2. Austro Hungarian Taube ( Galacia)

This is a re do of Stephen 1918's Kondor Taube, specifically in Austrian Markings for the Eastern Front, and as Stephen has just released his updated Galacia Map, I thought it fitting to re skin one of his Aircraft.
The First one is actually a skin seen on and Etrich built Taube, and NOT a Kondor, however as we only have the one model, I applied a little artistic licence. I have also added serial numbers, not historically correct for this aircraft, however they look the part, so a little suspension of belief will go a long way !!! also I am unsure if this scheme was a one off on a single airframe, or whether it was done on others, but anyway it looks very Austrian, and a gaggle of them flying together ( when you can actually get any altitude) look very smart and efficient, so all good !! The Second skin is just Stephens original one with new markings . I have also made new hangar and loading screens specific to this Aeroplane.
I used a combination of Stephens and Gambits skins , so most of the hard work must go to those worthy souls !! I have also included Von S' Data.ini which makes the aircraft a brute to fly, but that was what they were like, underpowered and SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW !!! I was going to apply weathering to the skins , but most pictures I have seen of Taubes portray pretty clean aircraft all things considered. I have re done the Engine sound as I wasn't happy with the stock proploop. I have also amalgamated the Armed ( rifle) and grenade armed machines, as I feel that they would have carried both, and no one or the other exclusively  . and have therefore put a loadout.ini file in with the aeroplane. everything else is in there sounds, guns pilots etc so it should be plug and play......if I have left anything out please accept my apologies, and blame the weather or the cat, anything but me !!
So again thanks and huge shout outs to Stephen, Gambit, and Von S who gave us the original I hope you enjoy this very attractive Aeroplane, even if its hard work to get the best out of it .

  4. Aviatik-Berg D.I skin pack hexagon cowls

Since there is a Part 1 and a Part 2 to my original Aviatik D.I skin packs I'll call this one "Part 3"

There are three new ( Well, updated ) Aviatik-Berg D.I skins for two different models. I have continued the Hexagon camouflage
pattern on the fuselage up onto the forward metal cowl panels. I only did three versions (takes too long to do more).

One pack is for the Aviatik-Berg D.I ( Late ) with the two Schwarzlose guns mounted in the forward Cockpit

The other is for the Aviatik-Berg D.I ( Early ) with the Schwarzlose guns mounted in each side of the forward Cowling. Can be
added to my earlier Aviatik Skin packs 1 and 2.

Both model versions can be found in the FE download section under Aircraft Models.

The Aviatik-Berg D.I models were created by Stephen1918.

  5. AviatikD1 Skin Pack PART 1

Aviatik D.I aircraft and skin pack for Stephen1918's AviatikD1 model.

This is only Part 1 of 2. The file was too big to include all in one download. I guess I got a little carried away. Try to follow the readme files. There will be some work on your part to get these to work. But it's all easy stuff. I promise

Instead of just skins I've created new Aircraft folders for every Flik. Each Flik has multiple skins inside. Flight models are by Ojcar with altered gun locations (false painted on guns w corrected muzzle flashes) by me.

You have to have Part 2 for these to work properly. It's well worth the effort. There are skins, Decals, Hangar and Loading screens, and a new Nation to add to the "NATIONS.INI". Lots of stuff. To much to explain here.

Thanks to Stephen1918 for this long awaited model and thanks to Ojcar for the Flight Models.

    Ejoy them all!

  6. AviatikD1 Skins and Decals pack PART 2

This is PART 2 of Quack74's Aviatik D.I skin pack PART 1.

Multiple Skins for Stephen1918's AviatikD1 model

It contains the rest of the Aircraft files and Decals.
It was all too big to post into one download. PART 1 is needed for it all to work properly.
Follow the README files and send me a PM for any questions. Or even post in the FE forum so all can see. I'm sure there will be questions.

Thanks to Stephen1918 for the awsome Aviatik D.I model
And thanks to Ojcar for the FM's

    Enjoy!

  7. Black-Stripes skin for Halberstadt CL.IV

    This is my first skin.
Its for the fantastic Halberstadt CL.IV which was made by Laton.

I hope you will like it!

I´ve got no information if this skin was used in the war. My inspiration was apicture of a plane in a museum, which I´ve found in the internet.

It uses the same decals as the stock-skin.

    Enjoy it!

  9. Choosing and keeping your German personal emblem

Here is a small trick to have your personal plane (and your wingmen's too, if you wish) always display the same fuselage emblem(s) you have chosen from mission to mission during a campaign in First Eagles 1. It will require a little work in installation for every concerned skin, and a few manips before each mission.

  10. Decal set for Aviatik-Berg D.I

This is a complete set of letter decals for the Aviatik-Berg D.I. You can assign them in the Loadout screen or the game will randomly assign a different one to each plane.

This completely replaces the "D" folder and uses a new Decals.ini and Numbers.lst for the skins.

I have also uploaded a new version of the Aviatik which includes this decal set, so if you downloaded the Aviatik-Berg D.I after September 20, 2011, you already have these decals.

    Installation Instructions
For FE1 - Unzip the file. In the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft/AviatikD1 folder, delete the folder named "D" and replace it with the new one. Next, open the folder named "Texture1". Delete the file named "Decals.ini" and move both the new Decals.ini and Numbers.lst into the folder. Do not delete any other files from the Texture1 folder.

For FE2 - Unzip the file. In the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals/AviatikD1 folder, delete the "D" folder and replace it with the new one. Next, open the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft/AviatikD1/Texture1 folder. Delete the file named "Decals.ini" and move the new Decals.ini and Numbers.lst into the folder. Do not delete any other files from the Texture1 folder.

    OK.

  19. Eastern Front - Skins for 3 of Bortdafarm's planes

A set of skins and some file tweaks for Bortdafarm's OefAlbatrosDII, HalberstadtDII, and Farman MF11c. You must have Bortdafarm's planes in order for these to work.

For the Albatros DII, I have made three skins, one plain linen and two camo schemes. I have also included a new ini file which updates the way shadows are generated. Some of the parts were almost impossible to skin, so I have made decals to cover the entire part. It's kind of a clunky way to work, but the results are pretty good. (Note - The Albatros DII had a wooden stabilizer at the tail, I could not get the wood to look right, so used linen instead.)

For the Halberstadt DII, I have made a green/mauve camo scheme. This plane also required decals to cover some of the parts. And this one also has a new ini file to change the shadows.

For the Farman MF11c, I have made a new linen skin with a set of decals for the Russians. I have included Peter01's FM, which I have modded to take an external bomb load.

Bortdafarm made several versions of each of his planes, I haven't tested them, but I think these skins will work with some the other versions.

    Installation instructions:
If you haven't already, download and install the three planes from the CombatACE Download area. This install will replace some of the original files - you might want to make backups before you proceed.

For FE1 - Open each of my plane folders and copy the contents into the appropriate folders in your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Click "Yes" when it asks if you want to replace an existing file.

For FE2 - Open each of my plane folders and copy the contents into the appropriate folders in your FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Click "Yes" when it asks if you want to replace an existing file.

Then in your FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, make new folders for each of the planes. Folder names must be identical to the folder names in your Aircraft folder. Move the "D" folder from each of the Aircraft folders into the appropriate Decals folder you just made.

  20. First Eagles lightened DFWs.

The game looks a bit dark at times. There is no way to change the gamma settings. So the planes look too dark. So I have lightened up the DFW.

Please back up the files in the following folders C:\Program Files\ThirdWire\WWI\Objects\Aircraft\DFWC5\GermanCamo1 & C:\Program Files\ThirdWire\WWI\Objects\Aircraft\DFWC5\GermanCamo2

Then extract the 2 zip files in “DFWC5.zip”. The extract the files GermanCamo1.zip & GermanCamo2.zip into C:\Program Files\ThirdWire\WWI\Objects\Aircraft\DFWC5

    4-Pack of Gotha G.IV of Kagohl 3

    They are flight leader aircraft.

Brandanburg's is the all red tail.

They are said to be possibly red in color as opposed to the popular green.

If you have already downloaded my "Green " versions, then just back them up and install the "Red" ones in their place.

The red one without lettering also has two extra skin templates in the skin folder for the Green version. Just rename the "Green" templates to the stock names.
