HandyMax Tanker

This model represents a "HandyMax" sized tanker, so named due to the fact that their gross displacement of less than 60,000 dwt, and their LOA of less than 200 meters imbues them with a level of versatility that's almost unheard of in today's maritime industry.
 
This model was designed and optimized for SF2:NA, and that means Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8. At the very least it requires the latest SF2 series patch for its systems and DX10 visual effects to work properly.
 
To install this package, simply place the folders located inside the .ZIP archive into the mod folder of whichever SF2 title you desire the ship to appear in.
 
The supplied sound effects will require editing of the soundlist.ini file in order to work.
This model package also includes an experimental effect, which will be most evident at night or under similar low-light conditions. Consider it an Easter-egg!

Unzip into your mod folder. If you install into a TSF Folder, or folder where TSF is installed, you can also install updated campaigns that adds the
carrier to Operation Isbjörn & The Catalina Affair if you choose. This is however not mandatory, but recommended.

This packs includes the main surface ships from the Spanish Navy
at the time of Operation Northern Sabre (1979), including:
 
-Lepanto Class (Fletcher destroyers)
-Churruca Class (Gearing FRAM destroyers)
-Baleares Class (AAW Frigates, modified Knox design, Knox model used as stand-in)
 
The Lepanto (Fletcher) class were no longer first line ships,
however, they were still being used for fisheries and patrol
duties. Would have joined a (the) carrier group if needed. The
model included is Grinch´s late 2WW Fletcher class, and lacks the
FRAMish improvements of the ships in service with the spanish navy
 
The Baleares (Knox) class frigates were different from the
original Knox class, their role being AAW. The stock model
has been tweaked and acts as an stand-in as no other is
available...yet
 
Improved skins including number decals are to follow. Please note
that this pack is intended for SF2NA, alone or merged

Project 877 Paltus (Kilo class) submarine for Strike Fighters 2
 
The Kilo class is the NATO reporting name for a naval diesel-electric submarine that is made in Russia. The original version of the vessels were designated Project 877 Paltus (Halibut) in Russia.
The boats are mainly intended for anti-shipping and anti-submarine operations in relatively shallow waters. Original Project 877 boats are equipped with Rubikon MGK-400 sonar system (with NATO reporting name Shark Gill), which includes a mine detection and avoidance sonar MG-519 Arfa (with NATO reporting name Mouse Roar). Newer Project 636 boats are equipped with improved MGK-400EM, with MG-519 Afra also upgraded to MG-519EM. The improved sonar systems have reduced the number of operators needed by sharing the same console via automation.
The first submarine entered service in the Soviet Navy in 1980, and the class remains in use with the Russian Navy. 17 vessels are believed to still be in active service with the Russian Navy, while 7 vessels are thought to be in reserve.[6] So far, 33 vessels have been exported to several countries: Algeria, People's Republic of China, India, Poland, Iran, Romania and Vietnam.

This package includes the FREMM class frigate, La Fayette class frigate, and the Kang Ding class frigate (a La Fayette derivative built for Taiwan) updated to SF2:NA standards.
