MidWest USA Terrain for SF2
= For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended)
This map represents the Central section of the North American continent; from the Great Lakes in the east as far west/north as Regina SK, and as far south as Tulsa Oklahoma (destroyed/occupied) and pretty much all points in-between. The original base map, centered around Omaha, Nebraska, is/was the basis for FastCargo's "Super Secret Mod". This is a =highly= expanded version. Rivers include the Mississippi, Missouri, Platte, Assiniboine & Soruis, all the waterways and canals interconnecting the Great Lakes, and so forth. Lots to see and do here!!!
The map takes place in a "What If..." world of a partly Occupied America; something along the lines of "The Wingman" novels, the TV series 'Jericho', the movie "Red Dawn" (always a favorite!) and any number of Post-Apocalyptic scenarios. It will fit any timeframe from the mid-1950s through the Present Day (ie: my "Global Sedition vs the North American Alliance" kinda thing).
This map make use of the Limited Nations statement, as well as the Allowed Mission Type. This is due to there =not= being any shipping routes for the Blue side to attack; all those routes are within Blue territory, so only the Red side can use them. All others are active.
Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life courses, or be placed in their Real Life locations, or even exist as such. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into that classification (ie: mountains, hills, valleys, etc). Some cities may also NOT have all their proper Real Life industries, facilities and other building classifications, or be fully loaded with 'target objects'. Accuracy has been strived for in all cases, to reflect the Real World . As much as is possible with this Engine.
This map also makes use of the 'Expanded Borders' mod, wherein you make changes to the FlightEngine.ini. Instructions on making this adjustment are included (if you haven't already).
Several 'new' GroundObjects are included, some modified from others, some you may already have. All are SF2 compliant and may not be 'down convertable' for 1stGen usage. As I don't mod 1stGens anymore ... Many more GOs are required; you should have them already for other terrain mods. If not, its up to YOU to get them. All the usual suspects, of course (SAMs, vehicles, ships, AAA units, truck, tanks, dinosaurs, etc)
As expected, there are several Easter Eggs -- you'll find them if you look hard enough. As a matter of fact, the largest Easter Eggs =EVER= placed on ANY terrain in SF series history are on this map.
There are also several target items that will "turn on" after a set year; this being the year of construction or start-of-existence (for a certain shipping company, some buildings and bridges).
As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended (ie: REQUIRED!!!) you read the document through after unzipping before installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading. It's most important that the disclaimer be read, as there are a couple of 'permisison only' items used, that CANNOT be used elsewhere with their creator' approval.

Lybia Terrain - 2011 Updates
Found this while looking for something else!
Way back in March, 2011, when the New Libyan Revolution started, a couple of CombatAce members asked me to add a couple of new cities. In particular, those where the fighting was heaviest at the time - Bin Jawd and Ra's Lanuf.
This is the result -- just some very minor tweeks and retiling/retargeting to add these 2 places. No other major changes are in effect.
As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them!!

IcelandNA Targets Tweek for SF2:NA
= For SF2NA, And/Or Full-5 Merged Installs ONLY!! =
*Note: for the SF2:NA IcelandNA map ONLY!!! It may be usable on Gerwins TFD/HFD based terrain, but many items will need repositioning due to the existence of actual coastlines*
Some very basic enhancements to the target areas on Iceland, to increase the 'eye candy' and try to make it loook like people actually live there. Using the basic layout of several stock 'cities', filling in some gaps.
As to be expected, there are at least 2 Easter Eggs on this terrain - one real, one fictional. I've tried to keep the needed ground objects to a minimum, so they are not included. You should have them from other terrain mods. (fishing trawlers, small cargo ship). Tried to keep it a 'stock' as possible. However, some enhancements have been perfromed on Air Defenses on both sides, but a -very- minimum, just in case things change radically with the next patch.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you read the document through after unzipping, but BEFORE installing.

Eritrea/Ethiopia Terrain for SF2
= For SF2, Any and All (Full-4 Merged Reccomended)
This terrain is a rebuild version of the 'beta - (minus)' uploaded by Wingwinner some years ago. It has been completly rebuilt, from the HFD up.
This terrain also uses JSF_Aggie's Enhanced Desert tiles, with the tile set =GREATLY= expanded, with many new tiles, many tiles with minor & major corrections and repairs, and LOTS and LOTS of custom TODs. The area covered includes parts of Somilia, Djbouti, a little of eastern Yemen, Ethiopia, Eritrea, and Sudan as far west as the Nile rivers (Blue & White) confluence at Khartoum.
The 'addon' terrain objects have been kept to a minimum. Stock in-game items have been used in most cases, although some additional units may (or may not!) be required. Add-on GroundObjects, while heavily listed in the _Types.ini, have been kept to as small amount as possible. See "Notes" for what you might need. You've probably got most of them already. Some additions to several Userlists for both Stock 3W and 3rd Party add-ons (in particular for some SAM units) have been included, as several nations simply weren't listed.
Limited Nations, Limited Missions and Operations years do NOT reflect the Real World . Eritrea did not exist until 1991; the map has the standard "all years spread". However, the various nations are listed in the Eritera_Nations.ini, but none of the Limitations are active.
Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life courses, or be placed in their Real Life locations, or even exist as such. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into that classification (ie: mountains, hills, valleys, etc). Some cities may also NOT have
all their proper Real Life industries, facilities and other building classifications, or be fully loaded with 'target objects'. Accuracy has been strived for in all cases, to reflect the Real World . As much as is possible with this Engine.
This map also makes use of the 'Expanded Borders' mod, wherein you make changes to the FlightEngine.ini. Instructions on making this adjustment are included (if you haven't already).
Please note, that when unzipped, the terrain folder will be quite large (~350 megs) due to the size of the tiles -they're 1024x. Make sure you have enough space.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended (ie: REQUIRED!!!) you read the document through after unzipping, before installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading.
It's most important that the legal disclaimer at the bottom be read and complied with. There has been a change in policy with regards to =ALL= my terrain mods.

Eastern Mediterranean Terrain for SF2
= For SF2, Any and All =
This is a complete rebuild of the WW2 "North Africa" terrain by Edward, for use in modern time (ie: 1970s-to date). It has been completely rebuilt, from the bottom up, and completely retiled using a 'combo set' of various and sundry imported tiles. Also, there are =MANY= totally new tiles, and their assiciated TODs, that can be used for either the Desert or the IsrealME terrain. Read: lots of new transitions that fill in 99.9% of the blanks of the original tilesets.
This terrain does =NOT= have the SF2NA "NavalMap" statement activated, either on the _waterbmp or in any ini. It is designed =ONLY= for ground-based air forces. It is highly suggested it remain as such.
The LimitedNations statement is set to TRUE, and Egypt is now classed (on this terrain ONLY!) as a Friendly Nation. Don't be surprised to see IDF birds parked on EAF bases, or EAF birds in Turkey and Greece!
This terrain covers the area from the bottom of the Gulf of Sirte (S/E corner), north to central Greece, east to western Turkey (Anatolia), back south to Egypt, as far east as the Suez Canal. Covering the Eastern Med, Crete, Agean Sea, and points in-between.
See the planning maps for full coverage. It'll make a nice companion Map for both the Modern Libya, and PureBlue's Anatolia terrains.
Those familiar with Edward's orignal WW2 version will recognize the base region, but the targeting and tileing have been completly redone, and is more reflective of the Real World . Place names have been changed to local spelling (where discoverable, spellable and pronounable). Expect to find several World Heritage Sites scattered around and, as always, the occasional Easter Egg.
Also included is a modifiend SingleMission.ini, that adjusts the minimum values for various missions.
Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life courses, be placed in their Real Life locations, or exist at all. Several cities and other physical features, and target areas will also fall into that classification. Some target areas (cities, etc) exist only as named places, with no strategic or tactical values. Just someplace to fly over.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you read the document through after unzipping, but -BEFORE- installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading.
Please also read the New Standard Usage Discalimer, as it's been changed slightly to reflect a change in my policy. It's listed at the bottom, in the Legal Statement Section, with the URL back to the CA post.

Baltic Terrain Tweeks, for "Ostseeausgang" Terran by Gepard
= For SF2, Any and All =
(can also more than likely be used in 1st Gens as well, you just don't use the water.bmp)
Just a little, quick and dirty tweeks pak, that adds new planning maps (all 3) and a modified Pit1.ini that removes the shadow 'tractor beam issue'. Also included, for SF2 usage, is a new _water.bmp (called Baltic_Water.bmp)
The terrain is available here:
http://combatace.com/files/file/13009-baltic-entrance-ostseeausgang/
Super easy, simple install instructions are below.

Persian Gulf Terrain for SF2 (Original Beta by Gepard)
== For SF2, Any/All -Full 4/5 Merged, @ May 2012 Patch Level ==
*Note: should be usable at April 2012 level, but will have issues with Primary Targets for Anti-ship, CAS and Armed Recon. The May 2012 patch fixes this*
This is a finalized, completed version of Gepard's Persian Gulf terrain. It replaces the Beta in it's entirety.
A companion terrain for the Iran/Iraq2003 Op Darius terrain, or a 'stands by itself' terrain. This terrain covers the eastern end of the Persian Gulf; from southern Iran & the Straits of Hormuz, west to the UAE/Qatar/Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. Consult the
planning maps for a full view of the region. It should be noted that Kuwait and Iraq are unsable, due to their proximity to The Wall. There is one 'carrier station' (ie: using the SF2NA style water bmp marker) for Friendly usage.
This is a higly detailed terrain, with many new custom tiles and TODs. Due to the large number of terrain and ground objects used, you may experience long loading times. It has been fully tested in a full-5 merged SF2 install, at the May, 2012 patch level.
Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life courses, be placed in their Real Life locations, or exist at all. Several cities and other physical features, and target areas will also fall into that classification. Some target areas (cities, etc) exist only as named places, with no
strategic or tactical values. Just someplace to fly over.
As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended (ie: REQUIRED!!!) you read the document through after unzipping, but BEFORE installing. As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading.
It's also VERY IMPORTANT to read the Legal Statement at the bottom, as it reflects changes in policy to ALL my terrain works (even if finishing someone elses).

India-Pakistan Terrain Tweeks Pak
- For SF2, Any and All -
This is a relatively small tweeks pak for the India-Pakistan terrain. It is to be applied to the original I/P terrain download available at
http://combatace.com/files/file/11805-india-pakistan-terrain/
There has been a few small changes in the 'eye candy' department, and a slight cleanup of some of the airbases. A few new terrain =AND= GroundObjects have been added, and included for ease of installation. These changes are not major and will not effect much, except adding the recently released fuel truck repaints, both the red and yellow 'followme' jeeps, and little things like that.
A new TFD and HFD are included, as some retiling had to be done. Also, a new "india1" planning map was created. It's just very basic, showing the region.
As always, fairly simple, easy to follow install instructions are included. Please read and follow them. It's pretty straight-forward (for once!)
Happy Landings!
