  5. These markings are intended for Capun's Hurricane I as installed in Baltika's Battle of Britain SFP1 campaign. Back up your original files if you wish, then add these files to the "1" folder. There are still a few texture mapping issues, but all-in-all it looks like a Hurricane to me.

I take little credit for the textures - they are mostly borrrowed from the best that I found on the Internet, I just adapted them to the model. Thanks go to "Stag", Gramps, Baltika, Wrench, and anyone else I forgot that deserves the real credit.

    Legal bit:
Since these textures are hardly my original work, please don't use them for any commercial purposes - they are for free to increase the enjoyment of the Battle of Britain campaign. The .TGA decals are mine, so do what you want with them.

    Historical bit:
No. 1 Squadron of the RAF equipped with Hurricane I aircraft in 1938. The original "NA" codes were replaced by "JX" in September 1939. After operations during the Battle of France, the unit was relocated back to Tangmere 23 June 1940 where it operated under 11 Group, entering combat during the Battle of Britain from August 1940.On 09 September the squadron was withdrawn to RAF Wittering under 12 Group to rest, recuperate and refit.

    More units to come.

  6. Here is an alternative texture for my No. 1 sqdn Hurricane package. Many sources quote the underside Duck Egg Blue color as having a distint greenish tint. Both A and B schemes are presented here - the A scheme in the post-August 1940 period with the smaller fin flashes and larger underwing roundels.

  10. This is a set of textureset.ini files for the Israeli, Mexican and Venezuelan skins for the Dev A-team's IAI-201 Arava uploaded by Fire Fox.

You need these to get the skins to appear on your aircraft ingame!

    Installation:

    1) Download and install the Arava from the Dev A-team's site.

    http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/

    2) Download and install the three skins noted above to your Objects/Aircraft/IAI-201 folder

    http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8013

    http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8014

    3) Extract this mod to your Objects/Aircraft folder and let it overwrite when prompted.

Your skin folders will now include the necessary files and you can choose them when you load up the game and go to the hangar screen.

Thanks to TK for the game, Capun and the A Tream for the plane, and Fire Fox for the skins.

    Have fun, and good hunting!

  19. Amiot AAC-1 "Toucan"

During the occupation of France the Amiot factory produced Ju-52/3m aircraft for the Axis war effort. After WWII the factory continued to produce the same aircraft but re-badged as the Amiot AAC-1. The "Toucan" was used by the Armee de l'Air and the Aeronavale until the early 1950s in Vietnam and Algeria.

While the aircraft produced after WWII didn't have a rear gunner, all the current models of the JU-52/3m have rear gunners. Fire Fox may produce a civilian/transport version in the future.

    Enjoy

  20. Hawker Fury MkII
    SAAF No.1 Squadron

For use with the A-Team Fury MkII. Some elements of Charles' original skin have been retained.

This is the latest skin in my tribute to the SAAF in East Africa.

The Hawker Fury was still in service with the South African Air Force at the start of WWII. Due to aircraft shortages, the Fury used in mixed squadrons during 1940 in East Africa.

    Enjoy

  22. Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam/Wings Over Europe etc Mi-24 skins readme

All credit for these skins goes to their creators as detailed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV\WOE and add a textureSet to each skin.

Not all of the countries for which we have skins are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left those as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet.

All you need to do is to extract the skin to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 folder, then go fly and blow up some stuff.

Thanks must go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV\WOE, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V, and of course TK for giving us these great sims to play with.

This skin is based on SteveB's excellent textures and converted with his kind permission.

    Enjoy, and good hunting
