WW2 Eastern China Terrain for SF2 11/18/2013
- For SF2, Any & All (Full-5 Merged Reccomended)
= For Adventures in The Far East =
*Note: This pack is designed to REPLACE, in total, any eariler versions of this terrain.*
**Note2: IMPORTANT! Make sure you have the WW2 ground objects!!**
This map repsents Eastern China (mainland), Formosa, the South China Sea regions from Chan-Chiang (Fort Bayard) in the south to Shanghai in the north, Taipei in the East and Chungking in the west. It has been COMPLETLY rebuilt from the original; almost nothing from the original remains, excepting perhaps the shapes of the land masses and oceans.
The map depicts the region in approximately mid-late 1943. Some Friendly sites were eventually captured during Japanese operations in late 44. To that end, I've left 2 maps in the "extra bits" folder, showing the Japanese routes, for any campaign builders.
The LimitedNations statement is set to TRUE, allowing only for the regional powers that took part. The terrain also makes use of the 'Allowed Missions' statement, as there are NO Friendly shipping routes for IJAAF/IJN forces to attack (although I wish we COULD use the rivers for such...they're just a bit too narrow). All other missions statement, for both sides, remain intact.
LOTS of new tiles and their associated TODs have been created, and match the GH3 styling. There is also, as expected, a few Easter Eggs.
Also included are several GroundObjects, (repaints/repurposing of 2 of Kesselbruts' Zil truck for IJA usage) and etc seen in my other terrain mods. These are designed to REPLACE any pre-existing ones I've done. Be advised, you'll still need many of the other WW2 PTO objects I've included in other terrain mod paks. Make sure you have them!!!
REMEMBER: you will need the latest WW2 weapons and Guns pack!
**Geophysical Disclaimer: some rivers and other water features may not follow their Real Life courses, or be placed in their Real Life locations, or exist at all. Several cities and other physical features may also fall into that classification. Some cities exist as 'named places' only. Some exist only as 'city tiles' sitting on the landscape. Some airfields may not be in their historical locaitons or headings due to Height Field and other tiling restrictions.**
As always, unzip this to a temp folder or your desktop, and you'll have access to the rest of the readme for it's instructions. It's reccomended you READ this document through after unzipping, but BEFORE installing.
As always, the Notes and Other Nonesense section may make for entertaining reading.
Please also read -and OBEY- the New Standard Usage Discalimer, as it's been modified to reflect changes in my policy. It's listed at the bottom, in the Legal Statement Section, with the URL back to the CA post.
Good Hunting!
