debmalya Posted Thursday at 08:16 PM Posted Thursday at 08:16 PM the way things are going we might need a Venezuela map....
+EricJ Posted Thursday at 09:04 PM Posted Thursday at 09:04 PM Even if it happens, it'll be a while before one appears though. I'm no terrain maker, but it's not like it's a quick thing too.
debmalya Posted Thursday at 09:11 PM Author Posted Thursday at 09:11 PM there is Youtuber , based in Caracas Venezuela , who makes a lot of sf2 videos on youtube .
debmalya Posted Thursday at 10:33 PM Author Posted Thursday at 10:33 PM i think its called the Jetfighter good channel , makes a lot of videos on classic flightsims /as well as SF2/il2 1946 always enjoy seeing the history of games , how fast they have evolved i wonder how many years we will be able to play these classic sims (SF2 and il2 1946 ) we are still watching classic movies from 70 years back...
+EricJ Posted Thursday at 10:41 PM Posted Thursday at 10:41 PM Oh yeah... I followed that account, then stopped because i wasn't paying much attention to it. Yeah I hear you, but there's a point where it's also time to move on, but with Arma 4 coming out in over a year I may stick with Arma 3 depending on what happens. But that's about as far as I'll go, I usually look for something new. I mean DCS is Old too, but it's updated. SF2 will remain a popular game, but yeah...
+Menrva Posted Friday at 08:11 AM Posted Friday at 08:11 AM I had a terrain of Venezuela in the works some years ago, made a quick beta for fellow modder angelp long ago. I currently don't have time to work on it. I'd dislike to make it now based on current world events.
+Gepard Posted Friday at 12:44 PM Posted Friday at 12:44 PM There is a simple rule in the SF world: If you want that something is done, do it yourself. Here you find some lessons, how to create a terrain : https://combatace.com/forums/forum/191-modding-terrainsenviroments/ It is not as difficult as cutting an atom into pieces, but it need time. 3
+Wrench Posted Friday at 06:39 PM Posted Friday at 06:39 PM Quote but it need time and paitence, and an inordinate amount of time in research. But the end product, is worth it.
debmalya Posted Friday at 07:31 PM Author Posted Friday at 07:31 PM OF COURSE , IF ONE TRIES TO MAKE ANYTHING THE SKILL/EFFORT OF THE MODDERS BECOMES EVEN MORE APPARENT THE HORN OF AFRICA TERRAIN (BY MENRVA ? ) IS FANTASTIC (PERHAPS SF3 SHOULD HAVE LOOKED LIKE THIS )
