+Erik Posted Thursday at 05:42 PM Author Posted Thursday at 05:42 PM I'll check into this, thanks for the report. Ill get back to you. 1
+Erik Posted Thursday at 11:28 PM Author Posted Thursday at 11:28 PM @Menrva The white background was exactly what you thought it was, html coding in the description and version information. I've corrected this for all files so we don't have this happen again. In the future with your new powers you can probably edit those fields in html so I'd just ask you not copy paste into the editor unless you want to the use "Source" button and view the BBCode to remove the HTML from it. Mistakes can happen and if they do just contact me. In regards to changing the CSS that wouldn't work because it's rendered before the text so if the text has HTML in it that's what becomes the final rendered version in the browser. The text associated to the files wins every time. As for the images yes the format changed but I want the new format, the old squares were too small and didn't do justice to the files and all of the hard work. I'm proud of you guys and I like to show off your work. I haven't seen any images that look horrible, yes some are marginally different but they aren't horrible. I also think our new image format lends itself better to the more common widescreen formats we see screenshots taken in. It used to be the old monitor resolutions prevailed because they were more predominant but in 2026 widescreen is more predominant. If you see something you absolutely hate in the images point it out. I'm not adverse to reviewing anything you see and fixing it. The rendered white background was an awesome catch and was in more files than just yours, 1381 of them to be exact. Let me know your thoughts boss and I'll get to work. E 2 1

I'm glad I could be of help in catching issues. As for mod previews no longer being square images, I understand. The current format also takes less screen space and it's more proper for widescreen resolutions like you mentioned. I took the habit of making squared preview images in the past because planning maps for terrain add-ons are squares. I wonder if such square images could be rendered smaller and with the addition of black/white/void side bars, so that they could be displayed fully in the current format (just like you'd get side bars when viewing 4:3 videos in 16:9 screens). That way we'd get the best of both worlds, but not sure how feasible it could be, I guess it would require more work than it is worth the effort.
+Erik Posted 22 hours ago Author Posted 22 hours ago @Menrva I might be looking at something else so can you screenshot what you're seeing or link me? Helps when I can put eyes right on the issue. Thank you. Edit: I think I found what you were looking at. Give the new settings a go and see if you like them more. Thanks.
+Menrva Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago @Erik you got it right, this is what I was referring to. Thank you!

Just kidding. Seriously, I never noticed that...I always added a screenshot to the uploaded file. Now, since you mentioned...I know you like it when things are neat, now I see my uploads and....ehh. 1 1

+Menrva Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @Erik having a look at comments to my uploaded files in dark mode, I noticed the same issue with copied bits being in light mode: This is from my Italy, Southern Europe (1963-1991) terrain add-on. Unrelated note, seeing NIELS' comment made me shed a tear. He was a great supporter of us modders, a wonderful chap. He's dearly missed.
