This is a fictional campaign I'm working on for Strike Fighters. It's set in 1978, on a heavily modified version of the stock SFP1 desert terrain.

It will be Paran vs. Dhimar, with help from the US Navy and Marines.

Dhimar's air force will consist of F-4D's, F-5E's, and A-4F's.

The USMC will be the VMFA-542 Tigers, split up among 3 different forward operations bases. One of which is pictured below.

The USN will be represented by the USS Nimitz, and the squadrons that sailed with her on her '78 cruise:

  • VF-84 Jolly Rogers - F-14A
  • VF-41 Black Aces - F-14A
  • VA-82 Marauders - A-7E
  • VA-86 Sidewinders - A-7E
  • VA-35 Black Panthers - A-6E

With the exception of the AV-8C, and the F-14, the skins below are done new for this campaign.

The Huey was made by KillerBee, specifically for use as a ground object. The Cobra is Capun's, used as a ground object.

Has KB released it? Or should I PM him about it? I think it'll be a nice addition (with his permission of course) to the targets in my (starting to be built) campaign.

KB had a heart attack and major surgery and we havent heard from him since. I hasn't even returned phone calls either.

topcat,

The campaign is 95% complete, but I'm still working on additions to the stock desert terrains.

I've got a baby coming on Tuesday, if he doesn't decide to come earlier, but I think this will all be done in about a month or two.

Here's a hi-res skin I made from Sundowner's template, for the A-6. Also a simple SA-3 and Hawk SAM sites.
