Major Lee Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Anyone working on the F-86H? Zur has stepped away from the Sabres, and has released his 3D files for mod. This would be a great plane for SF.... http://www.marchfield.org/f86h.htm Quote
Dave Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 Actually Zur said he will do one down the road. He wants to finish the Osprey first. Quote
Major Lee Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 Man the Hog Sabre is so close... The flat tail from the K, four 20mms and the F40 wing... Just thicken up the fuselage a little vertically... Add in an 8900# engine and away we go... Quote
Crusader Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 nothing easier than that... for Zur Quote
Zurawski Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 (edited) Yeah... I do want to do the H eventually. I would however like to do it a higher detail level than the previous Sabres (Is that possible you say?!) Right now I've got the Osprey up on blocks... and I've agreed to another project after that... Long story short... It may be a while before we see an H. Edited September 14, 2007 by Zurawski Quote
Dave Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 nothing easier than that... for Zur Yeah he can do it easily....he just being a bum about it. He misses his dress and high heels.. I took these at the AF Museum of the might H. Quote
Major Lee Posted September 14, 2007 Author Posted September 14, 2007 That must have felt like Hell breaking loose when you pulled the trigger... The guns are inches from your elbows... Quote

Wrench Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 That's an image that's gonna bother me for the rest of the weekend....but hey, like the man said, 'whatever finishes the mod' As for those Hog pics, wouldn't the pilot gotten awfully cold up in the sky with no skin on the plane??? ducks and runs...... Wrench kevin stein Hmmm... Yeah I can see where it would be a bit drafty. I'm more concerned about the aerodynamic qualities however (or lack ther of)... Quote

FalconC45 Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Oh great. Now I'm gonna have that mental pic in my head all day... Gee thanks Zur.... Falcon Quote
Wrench Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I really like those cut-away displays. It appeal to the mechanic that's still hiding in me; the fellow that likes to know the how/why things work. Also reminds me of all the 'Visible' models from the 60s....Visible V-8 and Visible Mustang were still the coolest (although the Visible Women had her points....) Wrench kevin stein Quote
