AVRO VULCAN B Mk2 617 Sqn. "Dambusters"

Scampton,England 1962

 

After spare time spent to search infos about it,finally I can post my version of the Avro's big bird.

Capun's and A Team model is magnificient,but i've seen something missing on it.

I 've tried to solve it.

For me-but is only a personal comment-the white version for the vulcan is the best dress to fit.

Also I want to send my thanks to Hi-ho Silver to the first release of the white one.

 

So let's take a look on it!

 

 

 

Overall white with smoothed panel lines

 

 

 

Tail insignias in correct faded colours,with the serial no. and the "Dambuster's" lightnings

 

 

 

Front view. You can see the stenciling,the Sqn.crest,the add of the 4 mising round windows for

the pilots and lower for the crew plus the small o.d. dielectric panels on the nose

 

 

 

Air intakes upgrade with the add of the first stage of the turbines (visible on many Vulcan's details photos)
