flyable An-12 ?

Hello,

 

i tried to make the stock an-12 flyable, which works generally, but i have problems to create an

an-12_data.ini file. Just wanted to add a recon mission and eventually a bomb loadout, but i wasn't able to do so...

 

Is there someone who already did such changes to his An-12 ???

Or is it possible to download a "working" An-12 from somewhere ???

But what about the an-12_data.ini ??? Where can i get it ? I will need one, if i wanna change the Primary Missions and loadout, i guess...

 

Even don't understand where from the game get the informations about the plane without the An-12_data.ini...

There was similar prob like yours. You need extract An-12_data.ini from object.cat file. Look on post number two on that link

IIRC, The Wrench did this about four years ago, and even created a "what if" WWII Japanese heavy bomber using the An-12.

No, that was somebody else; it's supposed to represent the Rita.

 

Ghostrider883 has an Indian AF mod of it here at CA, that carries "booms" in the cargo bay

I know I've seen a bomber version at another site, though, I'm a bit sketchy as to where it was. I was sure it was at Column5, but I'm at work and can't verify that. Give it a go, but I'll check my links when I get home and post the direct link if I can find it.

After extracting the An-12_data.ini i was able to do the changes and finally my An-12 is flyable in a B-52 pit and has the ability to hold 4 Soviet Bombs (max 12t).

Now I will fly some armed recon missions...

This is what is inside the An-12 external model. For a *very* quick test, I use a fast lashup job with A-4B panel. A-6 panels may be better, and a stock animated ThirdWire co-pilot can be added to the right crew compartment area.
